Hi, this past April I purchased a license for NewsMag and have it running here:

Since April, the theme has been updated by the author, but when I try to update the theme on my website (updated through the WordPress update link similar to how one would update a plugin), my website, for lack of a better term, gets messed up. The homepage is scrambled as well as each of the individual pages. Luckily, I was smart enough to backup my website before I did the update so it was easy enough to restore.
I did not modify the theme in any way. Just reconfigured the homepage with TD Composer.
I, of course, would really like to update the theme. Can you offer any suggestions?
Since updating the theme, the sidebar has stopped updating.
I have tried changing the Custom HTML widgets yet the changes don’t take effect so I removed the widget and replaced it, pasted the HTML but when I publish, nothing happens. I go back into customiser and the HTML I pasted there and then hit publish has disappeared.
There are too many issues with this theme now since this update. How do I get a refund?

Hi, I need to download the original version 8.0 to see what files was modified directly on the theme by the old webmaster.
I can’t update to the last version, 9.0.1, without a child theme with that modified files and the unique way to detect it is get a fresh copy of that version.
How and where can I get it?

Hello, I recognized the same issues and it drives me mad – I think this is since the last theme update.
This only occurs, if you make changes within the tagdiv composer. If you make the changes in the standard wordpress editor and update the page, everything is good. If you make changes within the tagdiv composer and update the page, the characters are transmitted into those crazy characters.
This must be a utf8 problem. Please fix this issue, please 🙁

I didn’t see a module thumb setting for displaying “full size” images in a WP gallery. I did remove the code as specified here http://screencast.com/t/mXRDOVcXS and they are displaying full size now without cropping. Just wondered if there was a way to do this so when the theme updates, I don’t have to remove the code again. Thanks.

You seem to have the same reoccurring issue after each update so please clear all caching and disable all plugins for testing purposes. WE cannot recreate this issue on our end .

I’m not using wpbakery page builder. I have build all my pages on td composer but the catch is that before 9 version vc_hidden-lg vc_hidden-md vc_hidden-sm used to work in td composer which is not working anymore. if have used wpbakery page builder then even after 9 update there should be nothing wrong but I love td composer and that’s why I’m using it.

Hi,
You probably used WPBakery page builder before and it’s settings for hiding elements, try to deactivate the tagDiv composer if it’s active.
The composer will activate itself automatically after a theme update. That could solve the hidden item issue you are having.
Our composer also has options to hide elements, there could be a conflict between the two.
Let us know what you find.

Changing the page template should always work, select the one you want and update the page.
If the page doesn’t change, then most likely it’s a form of caching. Either server cache if you have one, or a caching plugin, or even browser cache (force refresh the page Ctrl+Shift+R).
Changing the template from the latest articles, will remove the latest articles and it’s sidebar. Only the content you entered in the page will be shown.

Do you have updated your theme to the latest version of it via FTP way? Do you have updated all of the plugins? We recommend using only TD Composer plugin because this is our page builder which will be developed continuously. If the problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further investigate it closer to your setup page. Also, provide there more details about your problem.

We found the issue. It is “nginx” blocking the zip extension to be downloaded automatically or uploaded. It is AWS cloud server. You can make this one as case study and update your customers about the known issues.

That would be a common issue with WordPress unfortunately. There are many topics about it online, and many possible solutions as well. The easiest is to simply install the plugin by FTP. Delete the old ones and upload the new plugins

Hello, I just bought this template and it has been a great choice. all I want for now is to replace or add some new icons to the social icons that are displayed in this bar.
I can use the bar in the top menu to display the social icons.
and if I declare a new menu in the area where the icons are shown to the right of the main menu, I would have to change it with each new update.
and I do not know if I can use css the main menu and produce a pull-right as in bootstrap
In newspaper 8.8 or earlier version i’m able use vc_hidden-xs in extra class to hide rows/blocks/elements on mobile or vc_hidden-lg vc_hidden-md vc_hidden-sm to hide rows/blocks/elements on different screens but after newspaper 9.0 update vc_hidden-lg vc_hidden-md vc_hidden-sm vc_hidden-xs classes are no longer working and my whole website is messed up. So is there any other alternate because my whole website is in really bad state or could you please email me newspaper 8.8.2 version.

So I got update. I was able to install theme via wordpress but it didn’t automatically redirect me to theme welcome panel – I got blank white page. The same blank white page as I got when I used FTP. I recently installed an on page seo plugin and I noticed visual composer was no longer available. When I went to disable and re-enable it I noticed that 5.2 came out. So I got the new 5.2 version and installed it. Now all my homepage content is stretched and I can’t seem to find the a container with all the homepage content. When I go to each row they are set to default and not stretched. Please help, all my main homepage content is stretched full screen width
