Good day I updated my websites to the new 8.8 Newspaper theme today all is well except for 1 issue the featured images will not display correctly every time I share a post on Facebook. (The link works though)
I get this error from Facebook debugger:
og:image was not defined, could not be download or was not big enough. Please define a chosen image using the og:image metatag, and use an image that is at least 200x200px and is accessible from Facebook.
The featured images I have uploaded to each post are 1200x628px and show correct meta data in my page source as well as properly being uploaded and visible on my websites. My only conclusion is it is not downloading the image for some reason. Never had this type of issue before until I updated the theme to 8.8
Any suggestions or solutions out there? THANKS!!!

Maybe add the background link category in the next update and also a easier ads customization without using external plugin like adrotate.
The killer feature can be to add an ADS panel with more customization and just, for example, the ability to upload jpeg or png for the advertising, without adding code or other stuff.

It appears that it has issue with Jetpack’s photon module.
It immediately works out fine after disabling Jetpack.
Looking forward for a better collaboration between Cloud Templates x Jetpack’s photon in the upcoming updates.

Indeed, any changes made to the plugin files will be lost after an update and you will have to make them again. We will try to add an option for CSS in the panel over future updates. But for the moment the only solution would be as mentioned above.

My site load speed is very low, even though I have applied recommended cache settings and image optimizations by tagdiv. I got contact with the server and they told me there was an optimization problem on the theme. It is said that there are mistakes like in the image below. How can I increase page load speed? I also updated verison 8.8.2. Do I have theme based problem ?
Note: The page load speed is constantly changing. Although the hits do not change in the daytime, the loading time varies between 15 and 5 seconds.

After updating the theme a few weeks ago, I found that the loading speed has increased a lot. When I update the page, it shows me the default font for 1 second before loading the custom font.
I did not load any more plugins.
Have you had any other similar feedback?

So, it totally doesn’t work – no possibility to change the text style, add paragraphs, headings etc, no “Save” button, the typed text doesn’t appear on the site.
Please, advise how to solve this problem.

It seems it does not work, thank you for mentioning this. There seem to be some problems after integrating the multi-purpose plugins with the composer. We try to test all the settings but some may be unintentionally overlooked. It will be fixed for the next theme update however.

The problem is not really solved, it is an incompatibility error with Yoast by SEo (plugin).
I had to turn Yoast off and on again for AMP td to work. Only the configuration has been “temporal fix”, but it may fail at any time.
I recommend to check this issue well and add a repair in future updates, attached log of the error caused by AMP td plugin.

The latest articles section has only numbered pagination, you could replace it with a block of your choosing sorted by latest, blocks have infinite loading.
Also as of the latest update, you can now make columns sticky by an option

I just did the latest theme update, which did not come out very well… I lost the sidebar, all blocks have changed, gotten lots of code visible on the page etc. Is there something to do to easily get the original look back?

Our Logo has suddenly switched to the right side of our header from the left. There were no changes made on the site however we have since updated all plugins, and checked for compatibility issues (deactivating all plugins does not solve this issue.) We are using header style 1

That didn’t help. But this seems working.
I’ve added the code, which changes “Image editor library used by WordPress”, to my themes functions.php file.
It works for me!
Is it OK to use the code or any problem with the theme? Any future update of the theme will address this issue?

Update plugins. There should be an update button in the theme plugins panel. Or you can deactivate and delete it then reinstall it from the same panel
