I would like to provide an additional update regarding the issues I am facing with the Flex Loop elements and filtering in tagDiv Composer.
Custom Post Types vs. Standard Post Types
I have discovered that the filters behave better when using the standard post type instead of a custom post type. Specifically, when using the standard post type:
• With the “Hide empty terms” option enabled, empty terms remain hidden after selecting the first filter, which is the expected behavior.
• However, when attempting to adjust the selection in the second filter, all terms become visible again, each displaying a count of 1, even though they should be 0.
The issue where filters redirect to an archive page when the ‘multiple’ setting is disabled still persists as described earlier.
I hope this additional information helps in diagnosing the problem. Your assistance in resolving these issues would be greatly appreciated.
Dear Tagdiv Support Team,
I am currently experiencing a few issues with the Flex Loop elements in the tagDiv Composer. Below are the details of the problems I am encountering:
Issue 1: Filters Redirect to Archive Page
When selecting a filter on a page using Flex Loop elements in tagDiv Composer, it redirects to an archive page instead of updating the content dynamically on the same page. This issue occurs when the ‘multiple’ setting is disabled. We need the filters to work without redirecting, updating the results dynamically on the same page.
Issue 2: Show Terms Count Displays Zero After Filter Selection
With the “Show terms count” option enabled, the correct number of terms is initially displayed. However, after selecting a filter, the term counts for other filters are incorrectly updated to zero, even though there are still relevant posts available. This misleads users into thinking there are no posts under the remaining filters.
Issue 3: Hide Empty Terms Causes Filters to Disappear
When the “Hide empty terms” option is enabled, selecting a filter causes the other filters to disappear because they are incorrectly updated to show zero posts. This results in an incomplete filter set, as all non-relevant terms are hidden, causing confusion for users.
I have noticed these issues also occur in your Cloud Template (jobhunt_pro Jobs) that I have imported. I have already consulted the documentation, but the problems persist.
I would greatly appreciate any guidance or solutions you can provide to resolve these issues. Thank you for your time and support.
Best regards,
Rozemarijn
Hi, I ran into this error when updating to 12.6.6 Newspaper theme. The website is http://www.stemcellsciencenews.com
The upgrade was successful but I think the plugin updates after might have caused the error.
Can you look into this and let me know how I can resolve this without breaking the site?
wp_booster error:
td_api_base::mark_used_on_page : a component with the ID: tdb_config is not set.

wp_booster error:

/nas/content/live/sciencenews/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/common/wp_booster/td_autoload_classes.php
Did not worked for me, so I turned off.
I always liked this button, but now it has a problem.
Also, I’m using WP Rocket and Cloudflare APO. This never occurred before the update.

Hi,
With tagDiv Composer, you can add the element Single Post Modified Date in Single Post Template, and you can change the additional text in “Last updated on” => https://www.screencast.com/t/EvfUQMfzkd, and the Single Post Modified Date will show you the last time you edited that post => https://www.screencast.com/t/j74uz43paZj
-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/single-post-shortcodes/
You can duplicate the single post template, add the modified date, and assign a template only when you modify the posts to show the modified date.
Thank you!
Hi there,
I want to display an updated date instead of the published date on each post on my website.
Can you tell me how to do it?
Thank you.

Hi ignacioribes,
Here are some more recommendations:
Install a plugin for malware and please update the theme to the last version if this is already at the last version, please delete it and replace it with a fresh copy from themeforest account. DO the same for the theme plugins.
If you notice again the site redirects to other sites, it may be because of injected malware. We recommend you follow the steps below:
– Change admin passwords and delete admin accounts you are not familiar with;
– Delete any weird/unknown plugins;
– Delete the weird/unknown themes;
– Clean unfamiliar Theme Panel injected code (example – https://i.imgur.com/4q70kCv.png);
– Clean WordPress files (example – https://i.imgur.com/stJCqiK.png)
Thank you!
Hello,
I understand, what I can suggest is to downgrade the WordPress version, if the problem was caused after WP update 6.5.3, using the previous version you should resolve the problem – https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wp-downgrade/
Thank you!
Hi simchris, I just made some tests and it seems to be ok if you rename the theme directory, form what I see until now there are no options to have problems, but the theme update should be manually updated.
Thank you!
Hi simchris, thank you for taking your time to share those good suggestions related to the theme and WordPress updates.
Have a nice day!
I have the latest version installed and everything is updated, if you access the website from a mobile browser a redirect is made to a spam website.
If I deactivate the theme this does not happen.
You can see it at checkinmag.com. I come with this problem a while ago. I had seen the increase in traffic. I had to block several countries. It seems that they redirect traffic to the website.
Any ideas?
Following the last 2 theme updates (most recently 12.6.6 on 5/21/2024) our theme settings have reset to the default settings and we have had to re-enter our license key. Is there something that can be done to prevent this?
https://www.countrylines.com/
Was a fix found for this? We have had the same issue with the last 2 updates.
Thank you.

After I updated the theme I’m having the same problem and I use cloud templates.
Hi, folks
prepping to update some of my oooold websites, running older version of Newsmag.
[[ TL/DR: can I rename theme folder ? ]]
I note on the older sites we had done custom theme name due to some old, perhaps still wise, security practices, where we would rename the theme name folder.
e.g.,
/wp-content/themes/newsmag
changed to
/wp-content/themes/s2p
Curious before I do this, if there will be any known issue in changing theme folder name?
The idea was in old days of stopping bot intrusion attempts via popular themes, looking for any known page builder vulnerabilities. Not sure this is needed with stuff like WordFence, etc., and well known htaccess WP security settings to disable access to certain files.
However, for updating, seems like it’s going to make sense to update theme in same folder name as we’d used in past.
I am guessing this will be fine. Just not sure if there is any license element that will always look for
mysite/contentfolder/themes/newsmag for anything.
Just being paranoid, as that’s how I roll. 🙂
Thanks!
Couple quick notes on “being prepared” when doing updates to Theme:
a) you should make manual backups of your dbase via hosting panel, AND via the WordPress ‘export’ function prior to any updates, including WordPress core – theme does not manage that for you; no theme does
b) you should put some custom code in the WordPress > Appearance > Customiser when possible as this lives outside theme, so will not die with a broken update
c) you should copy paste custom code for widgets, footer elements, and CSS into separate text file for ease of rebuild when an error
d) you should make a ‘map’ of your custom home page elements, such as rows and modules and settings for each (e.g., category ID, skip IDs, etc)
Just some feedback for newer WordPress users. This kind of planning will really save you from going nuts if there is hiccup during any update of anything.

Hi, after the last update to the new version of my theme the site no longer recognizes the Builder. The site is not working and I cannot find a solution.

Hello!
That WpBakery plugin is deprecated. There is a known issue with the smart sidebar in the latest update, so we will try to solve it as soon as possible.
Thank you for understanding!
Good morning.
I’m having sticky sidebar issues on two different websites using the Newspaper theme.
The bar does not move, it is static.
Themes and plugins are updated.
I have disabled all plugins except TagDIV and cleared cache.
I have reinstalled Newspaper and WPBakery Page Builder.
Unsuccessfully.

What I can do?
Thank you.
22/05/2022 Following the last template update, my homepage is completely filled with lines of code. How can I get assistance as I still have three months of support. I cannot find the link to an online chat or support mail.
Hello!
It’s alright if there is no issue on this backup.
For every update, we always recommend the following:
-> First of all, please make sure you have a backup.
-> Please deactivate all the non-tested plugins with our theme before updating.
-> Update WordPress, PHP, the theme, and plugins to the latest version: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/.
-> Check all these requirements for the theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Thank you!
