No search results were found in Documentation!
I’m trying desperately to increase the speed of the site. I got the LCP issue: longer than 4 s (desktop) on google search console. I installed the AMP and Mobile theme plugins and somehow the website was a mess and I had to activate the theme again. The biggest problem is the images and most likely the video section.
What should I do? Autoptimize is a good plugin?
Also, can I change the color of the theme?

In order to fix the problem with tagDiv Composer, please make sure that all the settings are like in our requirements, please follow the guide carefully

and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.
Also please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv Composer, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

For the multi-langue plugin, Unfortunately we do not tested the polylang plugin with our website, you have tested only the wpml plugin, but this do not mean that you can not try polylang .

Pleas note that a free theme from wordpress do not has any functions and special layout, are very simple, this thing make them faster, usually these are only text and few images, a premium theme like Newspaper is build to make the website how you like.

For the second problem, usually the theme is disable only when is a plugin conflict or some code that is not working with our theme.

All of this started 5 days a go.
On google page speed I was having 80+ on mobile and 90+ on desktop.
In this 5 days, I’ve tried to install some demos, I’ve tested them, trying different things .. i don’t like it so I am back to my “standard” configuration.
The issues is that now i have only 70+ on mobile and desktop, with the same “configuration” as before. I guess all started from installing different demos…
The most concerning thing is the index speed:
on desktop i have 4.2s
on mobile i have 8.9s (with AMP and mobile theme)
Some ideas ?
I’ve also deleted the cache and minified CSS/JS (I use WP fastest cache).
Hello, I want to enable comments on my site but I only get the login window, nothing else.

Meanwhile, I ran into other problems that may be (or not) be related.
The speed of TD Composer is like very slow, to not say ridiculously slow.
When we make changes to the main page with TD Composer in many occasions when we go to see the result and come back we get all sorts of errors that seem only to be resolved if we delete cache on the page as well as in the browser. I am sure that this is not the normal way…
At this very moment I am trying to resolve a banner placement (this I have been trying ALL WEEKEND, just so you can imagine my mood after all this wasted time) But it seems that whatever I do is not working. (this apart from the time it takes for TD Composer to actually place a block I usually refresh the page if it takes more than 10 (!!!!!) minutes let alone to save in case I get to make an actual change) We have similar positions on the main page, the first one is the Flex Block 1 called Video-Popular with a banner underneath. A bit further down we have a similar situation 9or at least we want it to be the same) with a Flex Block 1 called Moto-Popular and also a banner underneath. But no matter what settings we try we can not get it to work in a way that it shows this banner, On the live website it keeps showing the Flex Block and it kinda scrolls with the website instead of staying put.
In regard to banners we noticed that the theme came with Slider Revolution, but also this works so slow that we (temporarily) installed Soliloquy-Lite (which works fine in terms of requirements) What is the best option for the theme?
To avoid questions about my internet speed and o the server speed:
Internet Digi Romania Gigabit, with actual speed never below 800Mbps Down and 500Mbps Up.
Contabo VPS L-SSD Package (8 core, 30GB Ram, 800GB SSD, 600Mbit Uplink)
Bitcatcha server score slightly better than Tagdiv.com 🙂
Other Issues I want to resolve are related to site caching, Image Optimization and Multi Language.
What are the theme compatible best performing plugins for this?
For Caching and Image Optimization we have premium versions of WP_Rocket and Imagify but maybe this is not working well.
(Our Google Pagespeed Insights scores have never been so low, not even when we were using Magbook on shared hosting!)
The change from Magbook to Newspaper mixed up a lot of the multi language things such as menus etc. Currently we are on a free version of Polylang, but we are thinking of going back to premium version of WPML, but prefer to be sure to know what is the best option for the Newspaper theme.
Quite a few questions and the way things are going now there might be more 🙁
I hope you guys can help us out as we did have very high expectation of the best News Theme, but so far it has been a bumpy ride.

there is a problem with the largest contentful paint in the mobile theme caused by the featured image. When I use a featured image the largest contentful paint is very high and the website doesn’t pass the speed test. Is there a way to improve that?
And is there a way to remove the Social Media Buttons after the Image in the mobile Theme? Where I can deactive them in the source code?
And is there a way to show the featured image in the mobile version on the end of the post or in the middle instead of the beginning? Or is it the only way to delete the featured image at all to get the largest contentful paint down?

My website loading performance was not very good a few days ago (got a 55% score on pagespeed insights) so I got to follow all your instructions for speed improvements and managed to get that score to 75%, yesterday by installing a lazyload plugin (and disabling the lazyload option in the theme) and by installing the autoptimize plugin the speedscore got a bump up to 90% and the website felt very responsive. The only problem I have is that pages or posts with a youtube video embedded now load from left to right with a small delay, almost as if you open a curtain and iframe embeds don’t work anymore. I”ve tried disabling the plugins but that doesn’t help. Do you have any idea what could be going on? Thx.

We recently changed from another theme to Newspaper as it was recommended as the best News theme in the world.
This may very well be true, but we are having loads of problems with it. Our website speed has gone down drastically even though we are on a resource rich root VPS setting.
So we are still currently experimenting with all sorts of different caching plugins and image optimizers, and we would like to receive your input on the best settings for these purposes.
Another big issue is that 2 times now our theme got deactivated on its own apparently after which we had to rebuild the header sections for Desktop and Mobile (separately) and set images for site logo etc. again. Now I wouldn’t know why settings would be deleted even if the theme got deactivated. So I hope you can explain to me what is up with that as well.
If it is not too much to ask, would it be possible someone has a look in our admin panel to see why we are having these issues?
If we needed to talk by telephone we could speak Romanian as well, I am in Romania, speak the language at a decent level, but writing is another challenge.

I have just transferred our website to the live version at almostrealthings.com. These are my current three issues:
- On article posts in the footer, the copyright text and footer menu are not aligned -> https://i.imgur.com/yry5oEG.png It looks fine on pages but is only misaligned on article posts. Maybe it has something to do with the custom code you suggested in your first reply to me?
- For the Jetpack issue, it is resizing the images to 696px as part of its “Site Accelerator > Speed up image load times” -> https://i.imgur.com/JPlEWnR.png It thinks the theme’s page column width is constrained to 696px and will not allow me to have full-page images, giving me this -> https://i.imgur.com/09gX8hQ.png instead of this -> https://i.imgur.com/q50fFy3.png
- The last issue is that the WP Editor will no longer load in TDComposer after transferring my website from my staging environment to my live site at almostrealthings.com -> https://i.imgur.com/YUZ5vrB.png I did not make any changes, I simply transferred the entire site to the live domain. I have configured my website first page with tagDiv, and i also installed the tagDiv mobile & AMP theme
and on google page speed i have 70-80 for mobile and 90+ for desktop
Now, i have installed the Old Fashioned demo, and on mobile i have 90+ (and remember that the demo does NOT change the mobile theme, it’s still the theme that I configured) and on desktop i have also 90+.
My question is: What changes does a demo do the the website ? In terms of design, nothing is changed if i install the demo, but in terms of performance i have 20+ points.
Can somebody explain ?

I did upgrade yesterday to v10 of newspaper template and since this moment, my CPU goes crazy and my website takes at least 20 seconds to display!
I did follow all optimization stuffs and site is hosted with Siteground which has a great speed optimizer + a cloudflare integration…
Seriously, what’s wrong with Newspaper 10 theme ?
