Hi surplag, using an old revision of homepage didn’t resolve the problem? What I can suggest is to make a test, set a different page as homepage and try to edit the page that was set before as homepage and is if this is working (there were a few cases when only when the page was set as homepage this problem occurred).
Hi bduperrrin, I see, normally if all the settings for the WPML are set exactly like in this guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-theme-translations-together-wpml/ then there should be no problems if you translate a page.
If you want we can take a look an see what can be the cause of this problem, if you agree, please make a full backup for your website and please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and please provide temporary wp-admin access to the website and please include the like of this topic in email to can identify you faster.
Thank you!
My guess is it’s not because of the theme but because of WPML. What do you think ?

I have the same issue. It seems that it only appears on pages generated by WPML when I create the translated version of an existing page.
Hello
You say that I need to translate/duplicate cloud header for each language.
But as I wrote above, that is my problem. I cannot do it because the header is encoded in base64.
I was promised compatibility of Newspaper theme with WPML but it does not look to be fully compatible. How can I translate/duplicate cloud header from one language to another language?
Regarding your new procedure, I tried it. But the theme leads me to the translation screen with only one field: name of the header template.
Please see the screenshot:

Hi,
For header and how to edit it please check this topic – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/cloud-template-saved-as-base-64-conflicting-with-wpml/#post-480573
The problem with saving, if you hit the refresh button, the changes are saved or is still the old version? I believe that there are some errors in error log related to save problem. Also, this problem is only for the cloud header? If so, then if you agree, we’ll like to investigate this situation, for this please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide temporary wp-admin access.
Thank you!
Hello Calin,
Thanks for your reply.
1. I read the guide at the link you offered. However, I did not find anything about how to cope with header cloud templates. Moreover, the guide is outdated, and I cannot follow it. The guide shows a screenshot from the cloud template page, where there is a possibility to add new languages (clicking on a plus icon). However, in the latest version of TagDiv/WPML there is no such possibility (see the screenshot at the link https://prnt.sc/uXbaWpcIw1vi).
To add another language I use WPML’s translation management menu. But the header cannot be sent because of base64 encoding.
2. Another solution with online decoder I don’t understand. I have decoded the content of the header cloud template. And what do I do with the decoded text? I can see there a lot of base64 decoded attributes, such as tdc_css, flex_width, f_descr_font_size, content_general and others. Some of them are located under the tags, which are not existing in the custom XML configuration tab. Do I have to add all of them (including new tags) to custom XML or what?
Hi,
Yes, indeed all the content in the cloud header is encoded in base64.
Normally, if you want the header to be used in several languages, this can be done very simply, using certain settings in WPML that offer the possibility of having a cloud header in each language – https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-theme-translations-together-wpml/
Another solution would be to use an online decoder – https://www.base64decode.org/
Thank you!
Hello,
I am using latest WPML and Newspaper.
One of my templates (header template) is saved as base64. Not some fields, but the whole content of the template is base64.
In case when some field is coded as base64, there is a solution at WPML site though editing custom XML configuration file and adding “encoding=base64” to the particular fields. I had this issue with footer template and it was resolved.
But in case when whole template is saved as base64, WPML cannot read it.
Do you know any solution to this problem? Why some templates are saved as base64 and is there a way to avoid it and save normally?
Hello,
You can’t translate the tagDiv Composer, the elements, and the blocks from this plugin.
You can translate the website if you referring to that -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-theme-translations-together-wpml/
Thank you!
Hi,
Here is the link https://wpml.org/
You can try to use also, polylang for translating https://polylang.pro/doc/strings-translation/ to translate the cloud templates.
Thank you!
where do i download this WPMLl plugin , i cannot find it anywhere
Hi,
We tested with our theme the WPML plugin and this offers the possibility to translate the strings or if you use cloud templates (like you do) you can set a different one per each language. Here is our guide for WPML -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-theme-translations-together-wpml/
Thank you!
Hello,
Please use PHP version 8.0 also, do you have an extra plugin like revolution slider, or WPML?
Also, you can check this guide https://blog.hubspot.com/marketing/http-503-server-unavailable

Hello,
You need to translate the English (original language) header for each language in part – https://i.imgur.com/CDmeHCf.png you should have them for each language cloud template – https://i.imgur.com/4agmUtg.png -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-theme-translations-together-wpml/ and set what logo and menu you want.
A much simpler and faster alternative is to duplicate the cloud template you want to use in another language, edit it and select the desired language – https://i.imgur.com/z1CqgBo.png (edit the name) – https://i.imgur.com/dPX8ROs.png – https://i.imgur.com/Lc81IgP.png This method needs to be used to translate all cloud templates.

The pages are created with tagDiv Composer which is a page builder, when WPML is used it cannot translate everything that was built with the page builder and must be edited for each language separately. Please open the page in the editor and click on translate – https://i.imgur.com/TXH6y1c.png
When you make the corrections, make sure you are on the page with the language you are editing, and if you use the cache, or object cache, please clear it.

Hi @bettina,
We are still facing this issue.
Sometimes we are getting 404 page not found issues on our inner pages. When clearing the cache and resaving the permalink will fix the issue. Dont know what causing the issue. We checked it with the WPML support team and they checked the website and they said all their functionalities and settings working fine and set up correctly. How to solve this 404 issue? Why are some of the inner pages (mainly category and tag pages – maybe all 4 languages or maybe some of them) getting “404 page not found” issues? The issue will be fixed after clearing the cache and resaving the same permalink structure again. Also, sometimes this issue is not getting for the logged-in users because the cache for logged-in users is off.
We are now in a situation of not being able to clear the cache, if we clear the cache we will get the 404 error, and it will be solved only if we clear the cache again and resave the permalink. In most cases, we are getting this automatically without even clearing the cache. The website will maybe work perfectly for 3-4 days or 1-2 days and after that, the same issue happens.
Does this issue encounter in any of your clients? How to solve this issue? below are some details of our website.
The website is hosted on WP Engine
Cache plugin:- WP Rocket and WP Engine cache
SEO:- Yoast SEO Premium
Multilingual Language:- WPML Plugin
You can check the ditto copy(staged version) of our live website using the below link.

This staging version has also the same issue!! You already have the details and access to this site.

Good evening,
My site is the following:
https://www.ohlalafrenchfanfan.com/
I recently added the Portuguese language via WPML
https://www.ohlalafrenchfanfan.com/pt-pt/
But I have a problem with the top of this homepage: it is considered as a standard page, and therefore displays the menu bar with a background colour of the standard pages and not the same Header as on the other languages (without background colour)
Can anyone help me? I can’t find the way out.
I can’t find the way out,
Thank you, Sincerely,
Hi,
1. If I understood correctly, you use cloud templates, in this situation what you have to do is to make sure that you translate the cloud footer for each individual language, then you can edit the text for each individual language directly from the frontend using tagDiv Composer.
2. The po mo files can be used to translate the default theme strings. – https://i.imgur.com/twhNoTR.png – https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-theme-translations-together-wpml/
3. I believe this is because there needs to be set some extra settings, please chek this topic – https://wordpress.org/support/topic/real-cookie-banner-and-multilingual-wordpresses/
Thank you!
Hello,
1. We recommend WPML plugin for translations: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-theme-translations-together-wpml/
2. You have an error, to solve it please check this topic https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/error-at-zones-6models-1dom-the-model-does-not-match-the-content-currene/ if you have a child theme; please use the main theme. After you solve it try to change the logo.
3. You can import the cloud template, and access the Cloud Templates -> Shop after you can assign to the product. Please make sure that you have the tagDiv Shop and WooCommerce plugins activated.
4. Depending for what you need, for posts you can use this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/user-reviews/ or this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/reviews-2/
5. Please set the cloud template to be global -> https://i.imgur.com/Ck2hSD6.png
6. You can use some custom code css.
7. Please check this topic https://wordpress.org/support/topic/remove-shop-from-url/

Hi Anamaria,
sorry if I reply late. I took a look at the guides, but I would like you to go into the specifics of my problem:
1) I have a site in Italian as my main language and English thanks to the WPML plugin. I translated the strings [td_011]tds_footer_text and [td_011]tds_footer_copyright into English, it happens that unexpectedly these strings in Italian change taking the English translation but always having the Italy flag in the “String translation” panel. Why is this happening?
2) In the dashboard I always have the warning “WPML Plugin is active! When the plugin is active, the *.po – *.mo files are used instead of Theme Panel Translation.”, how do I remove it?
3) Why in the “String translation” panel I don’t see the entries to translate the Real Cookie Banner Plugin?
Thanks!

Hello,
We have an issue with the theme homepage displaying in all languages except the default language.
Look at the difference between the default language and all other languages: https://share.cleanshot.com/BV7KFTDT
We can’t fix this display bug because in the cloud model, everything is correct…
Module : WPML for language management.
