Try to update the theme at the last version which it’s 2.0 and the visual composer plugin at current version 4.5.3, the plugin it’s included in the file you download from themeforest. Do you have any custom modification to display social widgets in main menu?
By default header style 5 don’t include top widget, and you will need aditional css customization, unfortunately we cannot offer custom work as we work hard on the development, updates, fixes and support. You can always get a freelancer from sites like: http://studio.envato.com/ if you don’t know how to do it yourself.

You can try to use media queries and customize social icons for each screen size like here: http://screencast.com/t/OJx6J1N8F this is for dekstop, and you need to find a similar solution for small devices:

The latest version of Nevspaper 4 it’s V 4.6.3 and we don’t plan to release another. The only available update it to the latest version of Newspaper 6 which it’s technically an new theme and the update must be done carefully.

For some reasons your button have an incorrect style property, might be from an plugin which overwrite the theme css. You can try deactivating all plugins, except Visual Composer, and test again. If the problem persist add this custom css in theme panel > custom css:
