This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

It is a font loading issue. Your theme seems to have difficulties loading the default theme fonts.
Unfortunately I cannot say for sure why this happens. Are there any other errors provided? Please check the error log on your server.

In most cases this happens because of CDN settings or css optimization. Please try to temporary disable the cdn and all optimization. Then test again.

Unfortunately since you use a very old version of the theme it is hard to say why this happens. it could be a large number of things. The primary one being, you most likely updated everything around the theme except for the theme. Meaning WordPress and plugins. As you can imagine this will create conflicts as code gets changed for plugins and not updating the theme will result in not getting the code needed for the proper compatibility.
You can make a test with just the page builder active. Disable all other plugins except the page builder and clear all caching. Also m, make sure you only use the version of VC provided in the theme package and not a later one.

It is recommended as much as possible if you do not want to re-implement the modifications after each update. When updating the theme, all of the theme files get replaced so your code will be gone and you then have to re-apply your modification to the files after the update.

I mentioned visual composer because you mentioned above that vc works for posts and I provided the guide for you to see that even though VC works for posts by default, it is not recommended to be used in our theme except for pages. Exactly as the tagdiv composer. For the moment there is no post editor tested and compatible with our theme not even VC.

Sorry but the top grid does not work like that. It will show the latest posts from your category. In this case it shows the latest posts from the places-san-juan-metro category.

Oh, sure. The platform is compatible as the core of the themes is the same. Some elements will not be present in newspaper like the border grid you have now on newsmag. The layout will be a bit different but compatibility will be maintained.

You will have to use the css as mentioned in the guide. And have font awesome 4 menus installed so the icon can be provided by the plugin. You will need to find the css codes for the specific network icon if they are present in the fontawesome icons: https://fontawesome.com/v4.7.0/icons/

Unfortunately our theme does not allow adding php code directly in the theme so you will have to make a custom implementation. You can try a plugin that can offer this functionality but unfortunately I cannot recommend any as we have not tested such plugins.
