You should first try do disable any plugins that might interfere with the blocks. Disable all of them except visual composer and make sure you clean your cache.

If you use google adsense you should not have this problem, but for a ‘custom ad’ try adding this CSS in your theme panel as it needs a bit of adjusting:

This should resolve your problem.

As i see it, you have the same thing set up as the other site, just that the homepage is different (not in the menu). When you access the ‘interesting on the internet’ category, the “underline” will be active. If you place a homepage link(button) in the menu, it will have an active border as well just as the other site.
If you truly want it like you said, for the category (‘ioi’) to be highlighted in the homepage you can add this custom css in the theme panel->custom css field .

You can use this custom css. Add it in the custom css tab in the theme panel.
You can change the colors in the code to different ones if you want.

In order to do this you need custom modifications and as you know by now, we cannot offer custom work. You could look at these classes though: The default uses this class: ‘td_quote_right’ and you can replace the css with the one from this class ‘.td_quote_box’ and ‘.td_box_center’
If you cannot manage you can always hire a freelancer to do it for you.

You can easily remove the grey area by choosing a different style for your Big Grid. You can use Style 4 for brighter images.

I think you mean the top menu bar which stretches to 100% of the screen. In order to change this behavior you have to add a background image or color to your website from the theme panel like so: https://forum.tagdiv.com/bg-settings/
You can even set a white background color so nothing would change visually.

As for the background images, for best graphic results you could use a full hd image (1920x1080px), make sure you compress it, you don’t want a large file, it will slow page loading speed.

@gfran5: Unfortunately the only thing you can do is compare your modified css to the new version of the css file so you can see the difference. It doesn’t work like you suggest, with a small css file that contains just the modifications. Sometimes entire classes are changed not just code added to the file.

I see mailchimp has a delay of 5 seconds, but you can ask them how you can increase their product’s delay, as we cannot offer support for plugins.
