Hello rishab55555,
Unfortunately we don’t have the time necessary for custom modifications, as we work hard on development, updates, fixes and support, but i can point you in the right direction.
Try following this examples to get an idea of how it’s done.
http://www.9lessons.info/2009/07/auto-load-refresh-every-10-seconds-with.html
http://www.sitepoint.com/auto-refresh-div-content-jquery-ajax/
If you don’t manage we recommend hiring a freelancer to do it from sites like http://studio.envato.com
Thank you.
Hello,
Just another tip on categories: you can select what categories to display from the ajax filter by using their id’s like so: http://screencast.com/t/cK6WFSp7Pu. You enter the id’s separated by comma ( , ) . You can get category id’s like so: http://screencast.com/t/Bubwxqn3H
I don’t seem to understand exactly what it is you want help with, but i am guessing you need some custom work done. Unfortunately we cannot offer any custom work at the moment, as we work hard on the development, updates, fixes and support. You can always get a freelancer from sites like: http://studio.envato.com/
Thank you for your message.
Hello stonedsociety,
The sortcodes were changed due to the fact that version 6 is a whole new theme built from scratch. We did it like this so we didn’t have to patch things up, but rather create a good clean version. These shortcodes now work a bit different as you can see in this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuENF-Oeg2Y
There is a workaround to make the theme accept the old shortcodes as well as the new. You have to add the following code (http://pastebin.com/NZEJsWQZat) the end of the ‘functions.php’ file – http://screencast.com/t/OWxqEsYVK
Let me know how it goes.
Thank you.
Hello rishab55555,
There are 2 ways to go about this. The first one is using a plugin. Most of our users have mailchimp and use it without issues. The second way is doing it yourself which involves quite a bit of custom work, as it is no easy thing to do. We recommend you hire a developer from sites like http://studio.envato.com
Thank you.
Hello nasosrogas,
If you want to change those titles there are 4 possibilities : http://screencast.com/t/8pcwth6xhkz
Categories, tags, authors or featured/popular posts. If you want one of these you can select and customize them from block settings. Please read the documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/ and look for ajax filters.
If this is not how you want to modify them and you want something other than these 4 types of filters, you have to modify the td_block_*.php found here: http://screencast.com/t/m3gZhQ4mam and also td_config.php found in newspaper/includes/
I hope this clears things up.
Thank you.
Hello lookarab,
This looks like unfinished code to me. I only see the problem on that specific page.
You have custom modifications to your site so please check your custom code and close all the tags to your modifications.
Thank you.
Hi,
I think you are referring to the mega-menu with the sub-categories.
Example: I have these sub-categories set-up: http://screencast.com/t/oQWUprxmQ, but they will not appear in the mega-menu unless they have posts to display. like so: http://screencast.com/t/Quv88WAWiop (I only have posts in “test1”).
Mega-menu sub-category limit is 30 as long as you have posts in that sub-category.
I hope this is what your are looking for.
Hello,
Unfortunately if you did not use a child theme for your custom modifications, they will not be saved in the new version after the update. Here is a link to our documentation for the child theme which is what we recommend for custom work https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
As for the update you can read this tutorial here:https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Our theme also includes a patch – contains the files modified from the previous version, it’s useful if you made modifications on the code and you want to replace only the files which were modified in the latest update.
In the future you can benefit from this patch but right now you missed the updates to versions 6.3.x so it will not work.
Thank you.
Hello rishab55555,
Before trying to modify the JS you can try a plugin and see how it works out.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/auto-refresh-single-page/
Let me know how it goes.
Hello AilyRoot,
I think you are referring to the sub-footer settings at the bottom of the page here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
The sub-footer with the copyright info can be configured from the theme panel:
http://screencast.com/t/Ca2MtntOeYOh
If this is not what you meant let me know.
Thank you.
Hello fpineiro78,
It seams this is how the theme was built. If you want the title to go back to its original state (bottom) you can add this custom CSS code in the panel: http://screencast.com/t/3upCJoWtXo
.home .td-post-template-8 .td-post-header-holder {vertical-align: bottom;}
Thank you.
Hello Henrik,
That is the space occupied by the comment widget: http://screencast.com/t/XeAoMWg5
I have checked your site and it seams to display fine now. You can run a few more tests to see if the problem appears again, you can also try clearing the cache, or disabling any plugins that might interfere with the comment section.
*You can also disable comments if you want https://forum.tagdiv.com/enabledisable-comments/ , or from the theme panel for all your posts: http://screencast.com/t/IqQyYPjsTOm
Let me know how it goes.
Thank you.
Hello,
You can add as much as 11 sub-menus like so: http://screencast.com/t/oKfBmBiH. the result: http://screencast.com/t/qDgVhB1B6
There is another type of “sub-menu” which comes with the theme called a mega-menu:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/mega-menu/
If this does not answer your question, please provide us with more details so we can better understand your question.
Thank you.
Hello MissMyra,
The menus can be customized to your preference. The links take you to where you specify them.
You can read this tutorial here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/main-menu/
If this is not what you mean, you have to provide us with more details than that, maybe a link to your site and a couple of screen captures.
Thank you.
Hello nasosrogas,
As you can see from the other topic, the titles you are pointing out are category titles. They are the categories you created and named. They can be edited here: http://screencast.com/t/cKbsVOZg
ant then change their title like so: http://screencast.com/t/Pc3QOnMiFD
You can also control what categories can be shown here by adding the category ID here: http://screencast.com/t/72QfT1Ff then http://screencast.com/t/E8cWlO4lk.
There is also a block settings tutorial in our Documentation. https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/
* If you want to display something other than categories in that menu, that is a custom job and has to be modified in the theme’s code. There is no easy option for that at the moment.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
Hi,
Responsiveness does that, yes. I will add your suggestion to our list and we will add it in the documentation as soon as we can.
Thank you for your message.
Glad to be of help.
Hello nasosrogas,
The titles you mention are category titles. i have already answered this question here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/categarory-headers/
If this is not what you mean, provide us with more details.
Thank you
Hello rishab55555,
Unfortunately there’s no easy way to do this, it involves a lot of custom work, which we cannot offer at the moment. However you can try finding a plugin for this something like : https://wordpress.org/plugins/outbound-links/
Thank you.
We will try to look into this but without more details we cannot know for sure how and when this problem occurs.
Please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-access, and we will get back with an answer as soon as possible.
Also provide us with a link to this topic and more details about your problem.
Thank you.
Hello ypaithrosxwra,
You can create a custom menu using the dashboard from appearance->menus and add a custom link to your forum like so: http://screencast.com/t/rIvPWTX0
Thank you.
Hello gfran5,
You cannot find the height property in the files because it is applied with javascript when using the sticky menu option from the theme panel’s header options http://screencast.com/t/xrGk6pQ6X.
If you use normal menu, the inline css disappears and you can set a height value in style.css to the “.td-header-menu-wrap-full” class.
Unfortunately, if you want to use sticky menus, that’s more complicated as it involves modifying the “tagdiv_theme.js” and it is much more difficult to achieve. http://screencast.com/t/rdOSKPLaVi
Thank you.
Hi Gabriel29,
Unfortunately the theme does not have an option to do that and you will need custom modifications to adjust it to be stretched. You can hire a professional developer to do it because it is not an easy task and the time doesn’t allow us to provide custom work, sorry!
Thanks!
Hello henrikkloster,
