Just trying to get this theme to work like other WordPress themes ...

The solution, on my side which my coder discovered and your folks triggered his memory as they could add the link, is that YOU MUST PASTE THE LINK IN PLAIN TEXT. I operate on a Linux system. The way that code is interpreted from browser over is oft times different. I don’t know if this affects Windows or not, but worth a try. My issue is solved and my part of this thread may be closed. Thank you to all parties in the process.

@anamaria First time I saw which email to send the issue to. Make no mistake, I sent it now.

Get your checkbook ready @pcland as @anamaria and tagdiv are going to take you for a ride! They are going to ensure that their errors are fixed by those of us whom already paid for their theme. It is sick and disgusting that we have to beg and beg and then resort to emails in order to protect their racket! How about @anamaria and tagdiv just FIX THE PROBLEM and be done with it!!!

She won’t give you a legitimate answer. Notice how she REFUSES to address your website and goes for her own, custom monitored and maintained website. C’mon Anamaria (or whatever your name is) bring out the real coders whom ought to be answering the questions on why the links ARE NOT EMBEDDING in websites using YOUR theme! Oh, my bad, you already collected our hard earned money!!!!!

THE LINK IS NOT CONFIGURED WRONG!!! This Lagun guy comes along and you pounce on a way to not fix your theme’s issue! The image does not save the link address. PERIOD! End of conversation. This is a THEME ISSUE! Period. End of conversation. My screenshots show this! Period. End of Conversation! I WILL contact via email! You should have stated this FROM THE BEGINNING when you were in over your head!

It has the / at the end but thanks for commenting! The issue is that it literally is not saving the link when you hit save. Tagdiv knows the problem they just don’t want to fix it. Just like saying, “Works on my end so can’t help you.” They can easily log into my site, but want the extra $$$$$ to fix their own problem. All good by me because as a journalist, tagdiv’s refusal to stand behind their own product is making the rounds even as I type!

No Lazy Load, no cache, and this is implemented by clicking the Edit on your tagdiv composer on the front end. This is a system wide template for posts. Your software is simply NOT saving nor passing the hyperlink of the image to the browser. It works in WordPress but NOT in tagdiv.

Left images under the Inspectors Title there for you to look at. I really need this fixded as I am losing money on the image clicks.

* The American Movers image IS at the top of the page on the sidebar.

Those links are from the WordPress Widget section. The American Movers image not at the top of the page, is using your Image with link and DOES NOT work. Matter of fact, I went ahead and removed the WordPress Image settings and now there is only the one image using the tagdiv image. As you can see from the screenshots (the same I added and spoke of yesterday) and WITH the latest update from tagdiv v11.5.1 and the latest WordPress v6.0, it DOES NOT work!

I ended up having to use cPanel to delete out the folder to allow it to reinstall.

I should note that when I go to the WordPress User area in the Profiles, there is no Role assignment for Admin. There is an Additional Capabilities at the bottom, though, which lists out some permissions. Not sure why, but it may end up being a problem in the future.

That is part of it. There are some conditional logic items to note, though. First, as Admin I shouldn’t have to do the crazy work around to view my own articles. Second, if I pay for a subscription does that automatically allow me access to the Free level articles or not? And finally, there should be the ability to simply add people, culled from the WordPress User side (or manually create a User) with a Subscription account for either Free or Paid and the ability to change the End Date of that subscription.

Thanks for considering as I believe this is a GREAT project and am looking forward to using it in the future!

Still doesn’t solve the problem that I cannot change the end date or manually enter a subscription. I understand this is the first iteration and my hat is off to you folks, but I do have some concerns. For example, I do not deal with any bank deposits and only with Paypal. So, there seems to be no work around on that side. I had to pay for a month and now I cannot set the End Date to whenever I want so it is rather useless to me. At minimum, credentials should be parsed to make Admins capable of viewing their own material as they are Admins. I am also curious what Role is being assigned to the new user and whether or not they are added as a User in the WordPress itself?

I reinstalled all the plugins and was golden. Perhaps clear the cache in browser and in any caching plugins including Cloudfare, etc.

foreclosurepedia

Did you reinstall all the required plugins through the Theme settings?

foreclosurepedia

I have asked it dozens of times. You can get some of the replies through tracking my posts. My issue was that on the editing side, it is a nightmare and unlike native WordPress. On the front end, I ended up having to add custom CSS to achieve what I wanted and even then it is not perfectly refined.

I have had problems in the past and after multiple posts and learning of the info inside of the tutorials I have pretty much figured out how things work and Newspaper powers my News agency. Updates crash because you have to reinstall all the plugins from the Newspaper Plugins page which ought to be either fixed with an automatic download reinstall feature or at least put in ALL BOLD CAPS when the updates issue out. Does that make it a bad product? No, just means it should be addressed. Analytics, etc. are best mastered by Google Site Kit which is free and built by Google. Try out their ticketing system for help and at the end of the day, $59 is an investment which writes off on your taxes at the end of the year if you are running a legit business. Just my FYI.

Google Site Kit is made by Google and FREE! Great plugin to sync everything up!

foreclosurepedia

I haven’t, but what I use which is made by Google and FREE is Google Site Kit. It syncs ALL of the Googlesphere — ads, analytics, etc. — to your WP dashboard as well as working GREAT in their native setting inside Google itself.

Happens to me every time. In the past, I simply had to go to the Newspaper theme page and redownload and reactivate all of the mandatory theme plugins. I also had to manually reenter my custom CSS. Hope it helps! It is a flaw in their updating process, IMHO.

foreclosurepedia

So, you have to manually go in and resave everything and I mean EVERYTHING from the THEME SETTINGS — Header, Footer, Post, Page — Everything! A complete disaster is all I can say.

Sidebar is gone now as well. What a mess!!!!!

Restrict Content Pro breaks the theme a bit and will not post the Title or Image when the reader clicks the article. It trashes out the CSS and looks horrible. To boot, the support consisted of an Inspection screenshot and saying issues were with Jetpack and FontAwesome which was in error when the plugins were deactivated.
