Hi petar777, from what I saw in your screenrecord you are referring to mega menu. Normally this is loading only after the page content is loaded and this is why it’s taking one second. Unfortunately, there is no option to can load it faster; the js used is the one on this path – wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/assets/js/tdbMenu.js maybe you can load it faster or exclude from delay, but I do not think this sill resolve the 1 second load for the mega menu.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
Please try this custom css:
.single .wp-block-image,
.single figcaption,
.single .td-review-row-stars,
.single .comment-form-cookies-consent,
.single .comment-reply-title {
color: #999;
}
This should be used on single post template only. he css should be set in the theme panel > custom code> custom css.
I hope this will help you!
Hi,
I see that is a sticky sidebar ad, I think that you’ll need to use a different kind of ads in that place. It should work using normal adsense ad (standalone ad).
“if i use https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-header-ads/
should i deactivate the Google Adsense configuration ?” – you can use both.
Thank you!
Hi, if you just want to adjust some elements on Blog Articles then yes, you can use a css. Please let me know what you’ll like to adjust and please provide a link were I can inspect the blog, so I can make a css on your needs.
Thank you!
Hi,
I just checked and it appears that this is coming from an custom file – https://i.imgur.com/PclTAbo.png so what can be done is to identify from where is that code coming or to use a custom css to overwrite it:
body {
background: transparent;
}
The css should be set in the theme panel > mobile theme > custom code > css – https://i.imgur.com/iQJRwMe.png after that clear all cache.
I hope this will help you!
Hi mnunezve, for this you’ll need to use tagDiv Composer to edit the homepage – https://i.imgur.com/TyGlqLN.png then select the blocks and search for background in search field, after that check in Style tab – https://i.imgur.com/0lY4avc.png the color should be on meta info background – https://i.imgur.com/GezMKak.png and it is also possible to be on category background.
I hope this will help you!
Hello,
Our theme option for ads is only to display them, there is noting else special. If you need to have full control over ads you should use a dedicate plugin like ad inserter – https://wordpress.org/plugins/ad-inserter/
Using the theme option for ads you can set banners or other type of ads in different places, like header, footer, articles … – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-header-ads/ – https://i.imgur.com/e2AklaL.png but if you want to can set different ads per categories, or pages, then you’ll need to use a dedicate plugin like the one mentioned above.
Use a block code for ads as mentioned here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-sidebar-ads/ this should help you to resolve the problem.
Thank you!
Hello filippocatania, most of the time this is happing from cache settings that are interfering with the theme javascript and css. Normally when you are logged in and the cache is not apply it should not look ok. Please check the plugin cache settings for css and javascript.
Hi muktipolice, the post title color from articles inside modules / blocks can be changed using the theme panel options – https://i.imgur.com/4kVfju0.png now in case that the block/module you are using doesn’t exist in the theme panel you’ll need a custom css like this one:
h1>a, h2>a, h3>a, h4>a, h5>a, h6>a {
color: #ffffff;
}
I hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hello Rasinski1986,
Indeed, the tagDiv Composer in Newsmag can be used only on pages.
The layout for the blog articles and be set using one of the styles from the theme panel – templates settings > blog and post template – https://i.imgur.com/szTnV6J.png
Thank you!
Hello professional.vaielettrico, what you should do is a staging when to manually update the theme, this is what you’ll need to do: replace the theme using a FTP/cPanel (replace not overwrite), after that go to Dashboard > Newsmag > plugins and install the tagDiv Composer plugin, after that check the website layout and functionalities (also if you have a child theme this should be disable and the child theme structure should be changed after the new one: – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-child-theme-support/
Thank you!
Hello,
In case that you are referring to those modules – https://i.imgur.com/fG7IDju.png then you can use this custom css:
.td_block_3 .td-module-thumb .entry-thumb {
border-bottom: 1px solid #808080;
}
I hope this will help you!
Hello,
The theme do not have an option for this, but most of the time the multilingual plugin offers this option or it can be used a dedicate ad plugin.
Showing different ads per language with WPML
Thank you!
Hello,
Please try this custom css:
.td-ss-main-sidebar .td-module-title a{
color: #fff;
}
set the code in the theme panel > custom code> custom css.
Hi,
All you need to do to change that color to be as the rest of the page is to use a custom css like this one:
.td_category_template_3 .td-scrumb-holder .td-pb-span12 {
background: transparent;
}
This code should be set in the theme panel . custom code> custom css and the results should be like this – https://i.imgur.com/KyNwT0M.png
Thank you!
Hello,
Our theme has only the theme panel ads section, but for more control you can use a dedicate plugin, for example ads inserter – https://wordpress.org/plugins/ad-inserter/
Thank you!
Hi matthewlumbs, the Newsmag templates will be used from the theme if the tagDiv Composer plugin is not installed, if this plugin is used, then it should be edited the files from this plugin. For default post style – wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newsmag/loop-single.php or for 1-8 post styles are files inside – wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newsmag/parts/single
Thank you!
Hi,
If you are using the post template style 7, then yes, the file is wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newsmag/parts/single/loop-single-7.php the code line that should be replace is on line 16 – https://i.imgur.com/7maP1xY.png
I hope this will help you!
Hi PreacherMan,
The zones are refer to header/content/footer zone. In Newsmag is saving in tagDiv Composer only the content page zone.
In most cases when you get a similar message “ Error at zones: 1(models): 0(dom). The model does not match the content Current state has involved an issue. You could try an UNDO operation (CTRL+Z / CTRL+SHIFT+Z)” then indeed it is a problem, most of the time the problem is from a shortcode that is not compatible with our theme, therefore after you set it with tagDiv Composer and save the page, the next time when you try to edit it, you’ll get that error. The most simple and fast way to resolve it is to use a page revision – https://wordpress.com/support/page-post-revisions/
For this error, you can check our guide from here at point 5 -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-not-working/ also after trying the steps from our guide you do not get any good results, You can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin login, as well as cPanel and credentials. We will take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Thank you!
Hi maryano, “the page created to contain the articles is customizable via TagDiv Composer, whereas the categories are not. It might seem like the same thing, but there’s a significant difference. When I need to make important changes, I won’t be able to do so in the categories, only in the page. My intention is to transform those customizable pages into categories.” – but if yo are using the Newspaper theme and cloud templates, you can customize all templates from the website, author, category, tags, CPT templates etc. using the tagDiv Composer, also you can use as many templates you want, for example you can use for each category a different template – https://i.imgur.com/q65q9GA.png – https://i.imgur.com/1sbm4ur.jpeg – https://i.imgur.com/1sbm4ur.jpeg
The articles/posts have categories assigned, so in database each article has a field with the categories ids and base on those are created the breadcrumbs.
If you need to continue with the code:
Here’s an example of how you can achieve this by customizing the breadcrumb output using the bcn_display function from the Breadcrumb NavXT plugin. If your theme uses a different breadcrumb plugin or custom code, you can adapt this approach accordingly.
Step 1: Install Breadcrumb NavXT Plugi
Step 2: Create a Custom Breadcrumb Filter
Add the following code to your theme’s functions.php file. This code checks the category ID in the breadcrumbs and replaces it with a custom page link. (example code)- https://pastebin.com/LBS8wixq
Now this is only an example and it is possible to be need to do many changes to the code.
Thank you!
Hello,
I believe this is the default template so it can not be edited using tagDiv Composer and most possible that there are no color options on those elements. What can be done is to use a css like this one: https://pastebin.com/9hqc0gvs
Set the custom css in Theme panel > custom code > custom css.
I hope this will help you!
Hi bgits,
Here are the steps that you’ll need to do to update the theme:
1. Check your themeforest account and download from there the Newsmag theme package.
2. Make a full backup for the website and database.
3. Use a FTP/cPanel access to replace the current theme versiun with the one downloaded from your themeforest account (if you got the full page it will be need to unzip it and install only the theme inside it).
4. Connect on the website and go to Newspaper > plugins and install/update the theme plugins you used before the theme update.
Now in case that you no longer have access to the themeforest account what you can do is to contact the envato support team and ask to help you to re-cover the account or create a new account and buy the theme.
Thank you!
Hi maryano, my question is what is the difference between the page and category because on layout I see that are quite the same, so why should you use a page instead f category (this can affect the results in the google results for the article).
Now related to the changes, there is no need to change the functions, what can be done is to comment that line of code and add your own code that will set the breadcrumbs and should add the page link. I think it can be done using a shortcode in code and custom files per article where to select the page you want to set in the breadcrumbs, doing this you’ll have the possibility to set one code line that will display the correct breadcrumbs by getting the value from your custom filed.
Thank you!
Hi,
You need to edit the post template files that you want to use, for example if you are using post template 1 you’ll need to edit the file wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newsmag/parts/single/loop-single-1.php you should edit this line of code – https://i.imgur.com/bQzzqqa.png
Thank you!
Hi muktipolice, I just checked the website and right now I no longer see to have a logo.
Pour theme set the H1 on logo for posts articles titles and pages, no in some situations the h1 from tags can be disable, for example if the page template is set on “Page builder + page title”. Now in case that you want that all the time the H1 from logo to be disabled, then you need to edit the theme files and set theme in a child theme.
Theme files that needs to be edited are:
– wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newsmag/parts/header/logo-h1.php
– wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newsmag/parts/header/header-menu-h1.php
– wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newsmag/parts/header/logo-mobile-h1.php
The child theme structure for those files should be:
– wp-content/themes/Newsmag-child/parts/header/logo-mobile-h1.php ….
I hope this will help you!
