I believe you can turn that off from the post settings section in the theme admin panel.
What I usually do is use a “featured” category to control what goes in the big grid (at least for home page), so that a news item with a logo, for example, doesn’t become the big picture. And then I can control which “nice” images make the front page more attractive. So, book covers or whatever except the one which is all text on a white background (YUCK!).
For the category tops, I’m not sure if that is controllable or not, actually. I would presume the logic would be “use featured if exists,” use latest if not; but I think the category toppers use just latest items by default.
You need to buy one (1) license for each website you use the theme on, according to the info on ThemeForest.
As stated don’t post questions in this thread, please.
You likely will need to use a plugin, then put the shortcode from plugin into a page you created called “sitemap” … note that such pages are no longer needed for Google, Bing, etc., as they NOW rely on the XML sitemap to locate and index your site.
I use Yoast WordPress SEO to put in all the OG tags for Twitter and Facebook.
But try the Yoast SEO plugin first (or any of the other “OG Tag” plugins on wordpress.org), which will insert all of that stuff into the meta data for the posts.
The OG (“Open Graph”) tags basically have a custom title tag, description tag, and image link tag, and canonical URL, for Facebook to “grab” from your site.
Ah. You should likely report that to the “group owner” if you didn’t already so that the admin can block/remove the pirate. If it’s a pirate group, obviously that should be reported to FB.
Wild. I suppose this is why TagDiv added the registration option.
@Ljubi B.
not sure what you mean?
You haven’t posted any topics to this forum, so not sure what “false and stupid” answers I’ve given you? I think over the past 14-15 months I’ve provided more helpful answers than anyone on the TagDiv forums.
However, your mileage may vary, as always.
Sorry if I didn’t help you. Free advice is just that.
My answer to your question on the hit counter, for Newspaper, for example, was neither stupid or wrong.
My answer to why your theme panel didn’t have responsive option in Newspaper after the 4x update was correct, as you had not read the changelog to see that responsive option has been removed.
Also, one of your support posts was:
Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee?
So… not sure what you’re on about. I’ll try not to help you at all in future, since it’s unwanted. Not mad, just perplexed.
In the context of this thread, WP Rocket and TagDiv Speed Booster are two totally different things, hence my response and observation, and answer based on my own experience. I have not used WP Rocket, due to problems I’ve seen with other folks using it, and also because we can run most of those optimizations ourselves running our own server, so don’t need a commercial plugin for that.
So, the “what do you think is best” answer to THIS THREAD, isn’t the same for everybody. “The best” may vary by server and how much time one wishes to mess with things.
Cheers. Sorry to anybody who thinks my help is “stupid or false.” π I’ll try to cut back on that.
Did you check the console for errors ? (F12) in Chrome or IE11 ?
Chrome is pretty good about saying “blah did blah…”
Clear all cache on server if using them. Reset CDN to get latest CSS.
Resave the menu from WP panel.
Resave the post settings page for related posts from the theme panel.
Clear all browser cache.
That worked for me. Might not be the same issue, however.
Sorry. I am using the Newsmag theme which has this option. The Newspaper theme does not yet have it, but is supposed to get new version once the memory hog issue is sorted which is causing sites to die with latest version of VC.
I am using Newspaper theme on couple of other things, but using the built in post grids including with the theme. π

Hey, look at the info top right of this page: hours of support ? Closed weekends. It’s now Sat/Sun. They will be back on Monday.
Support Hours (GMT+2)
Monday - Friday:
8:00 AM - 17:00 PM
You can’t easily use the standalone version of Visual Composer with this theme, since it includes its own bundled version with custom code. The theme only “out of the box” supports the bundled version. You’re somewhat on your own if you want to use the commercial version of the plugin.
Without a link to *an example page* where you have the problem, it’s unlikely you’d get any help. You can also email tagdiv support directly with your example page if the site is not yet public.
So some of the shit and crap is waiting on you to address. You would need to modify the theme to remove its built in code for Visual Composer.
For the theme to work as provided, you need to REMOVE the commercial version of Visual Composer, and follow the installation directions and install the version INCLUDED WITH THE THEME. That is what it’s for. You can’t have both.
Hopefully that crappy answer will help with your shit?

Right. This is the Newsmag theme forum, not the Newspaper theme forum.
So, the TagDiv support folks will answer your post *there* on Monday since you posted in both forums with the same issue. π
Works perfect on all my sites, so not sure it’s a bug.
You don’t need to post in this thread for issues related to Newspaper – they are two totally different themes, with different CSS, different modules, different responsive layout, etc.
Try the Facebook debug tool on one of your new posts.
Might be a problem with Facebook, or you might have conflicting OG tag data, which you can see by looking at your page source.
WP Rocket is a caching plugin. Also does minification. Not free.
TagDiv speed booster simply moves JS/CSS elements to the best place (e.g., head or foot). Free, included with theme. Does not do minification.
Not really apples to apples.
For the theme demo, they use W3 cache without minification, just page caching on, as well as the TagDiv booster. As noted in the theme docs.
You might try that first. Or, spend the $39 and report back on how it went! (curious!). π

You can customize the addthis widget any way you want, from classic to super modern. It doesn’t have to float – we’ve been using it on many of our sites for 5 years or more.
We’re actually testing this one to possibly use with Newsmag:

This is a responsive theme. You would need to edit the style.css file extensively to remove the media queries. If you didnt already know that, you likely need to hire a developer. Or, use a theme which is not responsive to begin with.
Will vary by how your site is setup.
Why not try them to see which works best for you.
The tag div booster is designed to move various things … Including custom theme stuff … To best place for speed. So one click to see if it helps or not. One click to disable.
We use it along with mod pagespeed.

Why not simply use the addthis widget for now.
I doubt they will add such an option.
Been there π
I don’t work here, but I use the themes every day, and sometimes have some free time while waiting for dbases to backup and such, hence why I pop in here to help, but also to keep an eye on any really big thing that might mess up my own sites.
Happy to help!
Chris
Which theme are you using ?
Link to an example ?
Works for me. Both themes.
I believe, as noted in the docs, that some of the shortcodes used by visual composer changed, and you need to either update the codes – or redo the layout for those affected sections.
If that is not the issue, then apologies for the comment. I had something similar happen and it was due to the shortcodes changes, so I just redid the affected modules on home page then it worked. π
Not sure the “demo” pack is updated to the latest version of the codes. Maybe try this with your own content?
