Hi,

That demo uses a cloud header template. In order to customize the header you will have to edit it with the composer.

Access the cloud templates section and edit the nomad header – http://prntscr.com/nfqrj2
remove the text logo and icon – http://prntscr.com/nfqx6k w2hich the demo header uses initially – http://prntscr.com/nfqxuf and make the image logo visible
http://prntscr.com/nfqy96

Then the logo set in the theme panel will be shown. If you have more questions let us know.

Thanks

Hi,

There is a quick fix you can try before this is fixed by us in a theme update, it is mentioned in this topic – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/newspaper-backend-issue-cannot-modify-header-information-headers-already-sent/

Let us know if the problem is fixed after trying it.
Thanks

Hi,

I can’t say I know a lot in this matter, but those are quite a lot of requirements to be met in order to create a fully compatible website with the WCAG rules. The Newspaper theme would not be compliant with those specifications, even with a lot of modifications (some may not be even possible) and work, this is not the way to go about it.

If this the target, to create a fully compliant website, maybe consider recommending your client a theme that is built with these guidelines in mind. That would be a solution. I found this topic mentioning some examples
https://torquemag.io/2017/12/best-wcag-ready-wordpress-themes/

Let me know if you have more questions.

Hi,

That would be the case, the child theme is quite limited after the recent update. Most theme files have been moved in the composer plugin as mentioned here
https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
So now the file that you used to modify is in the composer – http://prntscr.com/nfpxm0 which could be modified but you will have to do it each time you update the theme and plugins.

Maybe consider using a search plugin which has this functionality, try free plugins. Here are some examples – https://colorlib.com/wp/search-plugins-for-wordpress/
https://www.quora.com/Is-there-a-WordPress-search-engine-plugin-that-allows-you-to-search-outside-of-your-website

Hi,

So you are referring to the order of the posts that are displayed in the mega-menu. That would be a latest sort order, so they will appear by publish date. Currently there are no sorting settings for the mega-menu, maybe it will be considered for a future update. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks

Hi,

I remember a plugin that can do that, with it you can exclude the posts/pages you want from the search results – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/exclude-pages-from-search-results/
The code solution from that topic could work as well.

Hi,

You can use the previous theme version if that is what you want, and update at a later time for example.

If you require the previous theme version you can download it from here

Hi,

So you have set a cloud template for the attachment page but it is not working? I made a quick test, seems to work.

What exactly is happening in your case if you try to access an attachment page? If you use Yoast please check if this option is active – http://prntscr.com/nfpnl5 if it is active the attachment URL will be redirected to the image itself. Deactivate it and the URLs will be available.

Thanks

Hi,

That is not possible by a theme setting unfortunately. However, note that in an ad box you can now place the ad code directly. So the ad box element can display ads that are not entered in the theme panel custom ads spots – http://prntscr.com/nfpi4j
You can place as many ad boxes as you want, while editing the page/cloud template with the composer.

Hi,

Website credentials should only be sent to us by email, at contact@tagdiv.com. Include a link to this topic in the email. We can take a look to the composer issues you are having. Provide admin login and also cPanel if possible.

Seems that the other issues you are having happen only in Firefox, try and clear the browser cache in it’s settings and check again.

Regarding SSL issues with Firefox, I did find some similar topics you could read

Hi,

There are a few things you could check. First please follow the theme requirements guide carefully – https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-requirements/
In some cases the wp-memory is exhausted because it is set too low, so when activating plugins there may be such a problem like the one you are describing. We recommend a value of 256M if possible, try to increase it or ask the hosting provider to do it for you. Check the other parameters from the guide as well.

We also recommend that you use PHP versions 7, 7.1 or 7.2 if possible, using old PHP versions can create problems.

In case the issue remains we could take a look. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, also cPanel will be helpful. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Let us know.

Hi,

The 9.7 update was a somewhat major update, now the tagDiv composer has to be active at all times in order to maintain the same functionality. Most issues that can happen after update are related to how the theme is updated.

For example if you update by FTP the old theme has to be deleted and the new one uploaded. Then the plugins have to be updated as mentioned in the guide provided above. If you use a child theme this may not work anymore, the recent changes are the cause.

You can however not update for the time being and keep using the previous theme version, that depend on you entirely. You can update in the future if you should consider it. Maybe try it on a local copy of the site to see what happens, while having the main website kept safe. There are plugins that can duplicate a website if you should consider this suggestion.

If you want us to take a look you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin access as well as FTP or cPanel. Let us know.

Hi,

A sidebar is a section (column), when it is sticky the whole sidebar will be sticky not only some specific elements in it, or up to a point in it’s content. So stopping it before a desired element is not possible unfortunately, at the moment. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi,

It seems the same is happening on my end as well, I made a test with the plugin. The buddypress pages all display the warning you mention, in the frontend
http://prntscr.com/nfnnmp
I am testing with the latest WordPress, theme, and plugin versions and it is happening. I also tried an older plugin version, but same result. This may be happening after the theme 9.7 update, the warning refers to a file that did not exist prior to 9.7.

I will add this issue on our list immediately, it will be investigated and fixed as soon as possible. I am sorry for this inconvenience.

Seems to look and function correctly at the moment from what I can see

Hi,

I see the mobile theme is active, so regardless of what templates are used on desktop the mobile theme will display it’s own.

In the case of attachment pages the mobile theme has template that it will use when active and on mobile
http://prntscr.com/nfnewz (this is the location of the file starting from version 9.7).

What exactly are you changing about the attachment pages?

Thanks

Hi,

You could use a cloud header template, this will allow you to select the menu you want to display on mobile – http://prntscr.com/nfn9ws

Here you can see the available cloud header templates, these can be imported and alos modified if needed
https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Headers
You can also build your own using the header builder elements
http://prntscr.com/nfnapk

So you can display a different mobile menu if you use a cloud header template, without resorting to code.

Thanks

Hi,

I see what is happening. What you need to do is to edit that cloud header template in the composer. Then activate the sticky mode – http://prntscr.com/nfn7ty now you should see what the sticky menu displays and modify it as you want.

This way you can display totally different elements normal vs sticky. Let us know if you have more questions.

Hi,

That is possible, you can display videos and embed audio in pages or posts.

For example in a column text element you can paste a link to a video and it will appear in the page – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/video-from-youtube/
Or an entire playlist maybe, like this – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/youtube-playlist-instead-of-each-video-individually/

Audio can also be displayed in a page, like this – https://www.sitepoint.com/4-simple-ways-add-audio-wordpress-site/

So it is possible to display video and audio in a page with the composer.

Hi,

There will be a left and right padding on mobile, most elements will have it with some exceptions.

There are some things you could try. For the top form, edit the page with the composer and select the mobile mode
http://prntscr.com/nfmnnd then set a negative margin left and right for the raw HTML element used – http://prntscr.com/nfmoe3 set a -20px value.
Or use a code like this one – http://prntscr.com/nfmox8 in the mobile CSS field of the Theme panel->Advanced CSS

.home .vc_raw_html {
margin-left: -20px;
margin-right: -20px;
}

For the column title lower down the page, you could try something like this
http://prntscr.com/nfmw0e

.home .tdc-content-wrap .td-stretch-content:nth-child(6) {
padding-left:0;
padding-right:0;
}

Enter it in the same phones field – http://prntscr.com/nfmwdq
There may be other solutions, let me know if these work or I will think of a different way.

Hi,

Please check if the plugins have been updated – https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
After you update the theme to the latest version there should be an update button for the theme plugins in the welcome screen. The mobile theme plugin will be updated as well.

Or try the other update method, check if there is an update button for the mobile theme in the theme plugins panel – http://prntscr.com/nfme97
Ultimately if there is a problem, deactivate and delete it then reinstall it from the same plugins panel. Let us know.

Thanks

Hi,

Due to changes made in the theme in the 9.7 update the file where the thumbnails are made is now part of the composer plugin – http://prntscr.com/nfm73c
More about it here – https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/
You could modify the cropping there if this is required, but the modifications will be lost after a theme update when the plugin is updated.

However maybe there is a different way of achieving the results you want. For example if you want to have more control over how a thumb looks in a module, you could use a flex block or flex grid – http://prntscr.com/nfmaajhttp://prntscr.com/nfmaer these have some settings for customizing how the image looks. Let me know if you have more questions.

Hi,

A list of the files that were affected by the 9.7 update can be seen here
https://tagdiv.com/td_deploy/Newspaper/changed_files_9.6.1_9.7.html

Due to many theme files being moved in the composer plugin, a child theme now has limited functionality when it comes to making modifications to theme files. Prior to 9.7 there were many files that could be modified in a child theme – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
But now most files are in the composer plugin, so they cannot be used in a child theme.

Hi,

@angelgallegos
I made a quick test on my side with the inline article ad, seems to work alright. Should appear after the number of paragraphs you set it to.

If this is not happening in your case, please post a link to a post page on your website where this is happening, we will take a look.

Thanks

Hi,

Please try not to reply multiple times in your own topic, this will only delay the response on our part. It will refresh the topic date and move it to the bottom of the queue, we answer from oldest to newest.

Regarding the issue, note that the old API plugin will not work anymore. You can use the new creative plugin for this purpose – https://forum.tagdiv.com/developer-info/

But maybe what you are trying to do is possible without resorting to this plugin. The flex blocks have multiple options and settings and can be customized in many ways. You could use a flex block instead of adding new ones.

Thanks
