Hi,
Please note that if you use the options from the CSS tab of the elements in the composer, like in this case a row, and you set padding, margins, width, height, etc. -> https://prnt.sc/lomiqkJ5cr3m these will apply on all devices. So it can result in having design problems on smaller screens.
Please adjust the values on these viewports -> https://prnt.sc/R4kAw904i1Ln You can set different values for them, the very least the width on mobile should be set to 100% and it will look better -> https://prnt.sc/pVMJgxSrv1Fk
Also I see there is a problem with the logo on mobile, I think it was set while the website was on a staging platform. Please remove it and set it again -> https://prnt.sc/RRJrj-Rqgyba
Let me know if I can help more.
Thank you!
Hi,
That isn’t possible for ads inserted with the composer in the post template unfortunately.
Google display ads are responsive by default however, and they should fit nicely in the post content. Normally there’s no more need to choose size for them manually. If you them to have specific sizes you could adjust them in the Adsense settings https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/9274025?hl=en They recommend leaving the responsive version selected.
The ad codes could also be adjusted like so but it’s more complicated https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/9183363?hl=en
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you!
Hi,
The website is very slow, as if the caching is not working at all or something is consuming all the website resources. Looking at it with the browser inspector the page appears to be cached by WP Optimize. I’ve used this plugin before and the website should be much faster with it.
I noticed that there are a lot of admin ajax requests made by the Ad rotate plugin https://prnt.sc/iTqlq3PQCXq7 I believe those requests are related to this setting from the plugin https://prnt.sc/VwTLdQuvYk4S which is and was known for causing serious problems with the website performance. I suggest testing to see how the website loads without this plugin. Make a quick test, deactivate it, clear the cache, then check the website. Or disable the stats tracker and test https://prnt.sc/vAgJ7054BkTT
If the situation is the same, it must be something else. In that case I suggest to send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide access to the website, so we can take a closer look.
Thank you!
Hi,
I still suggest considering that it is not a theme related issue. Please also consider the level of support requests we would receive, if it would not work for anyone. I’m sure that other theme users are using the Facebook share as well.
Besides this topic, there is only one other topic this entire year, with the same issue. Please check this other topic https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/response-code-403/ The user did not change the theme, yet the sharing is working now. If it was something from the theme, then why is it working.
And please also consider the hundreds and thousands of similar online complaints describing the same issue, on Facebook’s forums. I’m sure that not all those websites use Newspaper.
The theme cannot block Facebook from accessing the website or resources from the website, it can’t return a 403 response by it’s own. There must be something specific that causes it, or simply a specific issue with Facebook itself.
I’ll check more topics about it and if I find something I will post it in this topic.
Thank you!
Hi,
That depends.
By default, if you don’t manually set specific fonts throughout the website, the theme will use Roboto and Open Sans for the majority of the elements. These default fonts can be replaced in the theme panel -> https://prnt.sc/kyLC24dDYgw5
Usually for the newer demos we used global fonts. A global font can be created in the composer -> https://prnt.sc/q2kXyypAH2gL
These global fonts have to be set where you want to use them. The benefit is that you only have to set them once everywhere. After setting them for each element, if you want to change them in the future you only have to modify the global fonts -> https://prnt.sc/GwTmQ7ezVwI4 and not to set them again for each element.
Or you could load the fonts manually with CSS or by other means, and also apply them with CSS. This could be tricky because they might not apply everywhere and you still have to target multiple specific elements directly.
Thank you!
Hi,
No, you don’t need to use the patch in any way. We may actually remove that patch folder from the theme packages to avoid creating confusion.
That patch folder was useful a long time ago, as it contained all the theme files in which we made modifications in an update. It was useful for users that modified the theme files and the code, as they would lose their modifications if they updated the theme normally. But these days mostly no one modified the theme files anymore, there’s no need for it because there are usually other better ways to achieve the same result.
Please disregard the patch folder and files, and simply update the theme normally.
Thank you!
Hi,
All the settings for the mobile theme are in the theme panel https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
As a note, if you are also using the standard pack plugin -> https://prnt.sc/Yq-hXISRw-SG disabling the author box has to be done from here -> https://prnt.sc/m3IqycawMV9k Please try it.
For the related articles the settings are also in the theme panel, here -> https://prnt.sc/d9yYol65tiuq The settings are for choosing what relation to use, either category or tag, and how many posts to display.
Thank you!
Hi,
That’s the header template from our Amsonia demo https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_amsonia_pro/amsonia-header-template/?
I imported just the header https://prnt.sc/5JAf2N9YbZYa and it looks like this https://prnt.sc/2W712fCrNMx4
The header requires the opt-in plugin to be active https://prnt.sc/1AUZY0w1_E74 in order to display the login element in the menu https://prnt.sc/1agvRvzrlAjm
And it also requires setting a page for the menu popup, for example https://prnt.sc/A056qQljOam_
But other than this the header should display exactly like in the live demo. How does it look when you import it? If you can provide a link to where you are using this header and there are problems, I will check it. Or if you prefer you can send us email with the link at contact@tagdiv.com
Thank you!
@RECORD EUROPA
We heard back From Patchstack yesterday, they acknowledged the fixes included with composer 5.4.5:
CVE-2026-39712 -> https://patchstack.com/database/wordpress/plugin/td-composer/vulnerability/wordpress-tagdiv-composer-plugin-5-4-3-arbitrary-shortcode-execution-vulnerability
CVE-2026-39692 -> https://patchstack.com/database/wordpress/plugin/td-composer/vulnerability/wordpress-tagdiv-composer-plugin-5-4-3-cross-site-scripting-xss-vulnerability
We did not hear back from Wordfence yet. We collaborate with them frequently, but sometimes it takes them a while.
We did not hear back from WP Scan also. I believe Jetpack security is powered by WP Scan, they don’t pull their data from Patchstack or Wordfence.
Until every one of them knows about the fix, those vulnerabilities will remain marked as active or without a known fix. I hope we hear from them soon. Sorry for this situation.
Thank you!
Hi,
Thank you for providing detailed information about it. I will forward this to our developer team for further investigation.
Regards, Simion C.
Hi,
There actually is a sidebar there, but there’s nothing in it. The default sidebar can be seen in the widgets section -> https://prnt.sc/VhrBYPnUpixl Please add the widgets you want in the sidebar. Or you can build the pages with the composer, and add anything you want from the composer inside them.
Thank you!
Normally the theme doesn’t interfere with the sharing part in any way. It’s all handled by the SEO plugin used to load the required meta tags https://prnt.sc/C5m0QQLzuiVV If those meta tags are loaded the sharing across all socials usually works fine.
I tested a post from your website with the Facebook debugger, it looks fine https://prnt.sc/M_eXLdN7NArv
I tested sharing directly from the website, it looks fine https://prnt.sc/T7RtR0AlnbFB
I tested sharing on WhatsApp, looks fine https://prnt.sc/f-8Sk4fPSUkZ
From what I see it appears to be working correctly.
Thank you!
Hi,
Seems to be working correctly now, I checked your website on mobile https://prnt.sc/P3SqckT5VPDy and the menu popup works fine https://prnt.sc/mbKNMWw79Kbg
To explain, if you activate the optional mobile theme plugin, the functionality and design of the website will be changed completely on mobile. This plugin is not required in any, which is why it’s not installed automatically. You can choose to use it if you want, so you can simply not install it and activate it.
If there are any remaining issues please let me know and I will check.
Thank you!
Hi,
The main problem I see in the screenshots is missing plugins. That code which is seen on the website means that not all of the required theme plugins are active. Please activate these two plugins -> https://prnt.sc/TIVt4rbHY3Fz So the cloud library and the standard pack. The composer is a base plugin, and these two are extensions of it. After activating them the website should display correctly.
Concerning not being able to edit posts with the composer, this was always the case. The composer is not for building the actual post content, it’s for building the post template, which is what displays the post. These for example are the post templates and they are all built with the composer -> https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single So you write the posts normally, within wordpress -> add new post. Then the post template displays it. And you can customize the post template with the composer from here for example -> https://prnt.sc/ODsOaezSimRe
Please let me know if I can help more.
Thank you!
Hi,
While logged out the website loads fast for me https://prnt.sc/qAV5rQB-S2Ue It loads in 2 or 3 seconds on average. We could take a closer look while logged in, you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login for the website. I see you have cPanel, please also provide access to it if possible, in the email.
I would also suggest asking an opinion from the hosting provider, maybe they can provide valuable information about the cause of the issue. Normally our theme itself doesn’t cause such problems. We will however take a closer look and try to help.
Thank you!
Hi,
The latest theme version includes composer 5.4.5, which contains fixes for all the vulnerabilities know at this time related to it.
However, in such cases we have to contact the biggest vulnerability database providers, like Patchstack and Wordfence. We contacted both, yet so far we only heard back from Wordfence which should hopefully be updating their database soon. Nothing from Patchstack yet.
The hosting providers are most likely sourcing their information from them, as they don’t actually check or scan the plugin code. Until Patchstack and Wordfence acknowledge the fixes and mark them as fixed, there’s nothing else that we can do, the composer will continue to get flagged by automated tools, while containing the actual fixes. These things always seem to take a lot of time unfortunately. We are very sorry for the situation.
Thank you!
Hi,
Did you install the composer that is provided with Newspaper or did the one from Newsmag remain installed? To be sure, please delete the composer, then reinstall it from the Newspaper plugins panel -> https://prnt.sc/i_00nu3gAK0Y
But in case this is not the source of the problem, I will take a closer look. If you can, please send us an email with a link to the website and admin login (user and pass) at contact@tagdiv.com and please also include a link to this topic.
Thank you!
Hi,
Some of those are resources loaded by the theme, which is normal. I see you are using litespeed, the settings that help with reducing render blocking and improving the LCP score, are these:
1. https://docs.litespeedtech.com/lscache/lscwp/pageopt/#load-js-deferred
2. https://docs.litespeedtech.com/lscache/lscwp/pageopt/#load-css-asynchronously
Please note that some optimization settings can cause problems with how the website looks or works. Be sure to check the website after activating such options.
I believe you are using mobile pages and templates from the theme, is this correct? If so, please make sure this setting is also active https://prnt.sc/jG610I0zDd7m Clear all caches if you activate that setting.
Thank you!
Hi,
The option doesn’t stop the content from loading, it hides it. That’s how the option was developed at the time. There can be benefits and downsides from both hiding the content or not loading it at all. Maybe we could add an option to choose one of these depending on the case.
For content that you are hiding with the intent to reuse it in the future, you could just save it first https://prnt.sc/gL585n3aPKJ2 and then delete it from the page, it can easily be added back when you need it. Once you save it, it will appear in the composer list of elements at the bottom https://prnt.sc/7vn9-AE3kYjO
But for content hidden using the display restrictions, which must appear depending on the user, there’s no way at this time to actually stop it from loading. In the future we may add a setting for it. Sorry for this inconvenience.
Thank you!
Hi,
In the composer, after you click on the block, first please select the category you want in the filter tab https://prnt.sc/Y3_qKOOg6Pzr The block will only display posts from that category.
For the sorting method there is only one that can display posts from today, this one https://prnt.sc/lMF__iX8_QDg
So you can display random posts from today, from a specific category.
Normally even the default sorting method, meaning latest posts https://prnt.sc/8PwD6vwo-Xip will display new posts, especially if you are publishing posts daily.
Thank you!
Hi,
I think that’s an image box section from our Artist demo https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_artist_pro/
Normally an image info box doesn’t look like that, our designers used a bit of CSS to position the description more to the bottom. If you edit your homepage with the composer, there will be a Raw CSS element here below the boxes https://prnt.sc/QVTAjWZ3jcJK Since this was built a long time ago, sometimes there can be conflicts with modifications we make in the theme in updates.
No worries however, that code can be adjusted to achieve the same look. Please remove it and add the one from here -> https://pastebin.com/11MJ9dm9
The result should be like this https://prnt.sc/e6iF21snjd5s
In case there are any problems let me know.
Thank you!
Hi,
If the ad is placed in the mobile header, then it’s quite unusual if its displayed on desktop. The whole mobile header is hidden on desktop, so why would just the ad from it appear. Could we take a look at this on your website? You can provide a link here, or by email at contact@tagdiv.com Then we can inspect the ad to see what happens exactly.
Thank you!
Hi,
Normally to make a block or grid or any element that displays posts, automatically display posts based on the type of template it’s in, these special filters are used -> https://prnt.sc/vOsiJhj9yVIB So in your category template, the blocks should be set to the special current category filter. It’s a dynamic filter that displays posts based on the category you are on.
But if besides that current category filter you also use IDs in the multiple categories filter to include/exclude, it will override the current category filter.
The posts that the block displays using the current category filter will belong there, it means they are in that category. Additional filtering can be done by tag, if that’s helpful perhaps.
To be honest I rarely see pages used instead of category pages. It’s not needed in most cases and it’s just more work. Maybe it was a viable method at the time when the theme did not have cloud templates. Or maybe it’s a viable method if you want personalized category pages, although you can have a category template for each category if you want, and also custom fields can be used sometimes. But in your case since you need more control and if it works for you with our current setup and requirements, then there’s no problem using pages.
Thank you!
I replied by email, please check as well.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please let’s remain calm and get to the bottom of the issue. There’s most likely a logical explanation why the comments are not appearing on your website.
I suggest to send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide an admin user and pass so we can check ourselves. It will be faster this way.
Thank you!
