Hi,
@AI-AZ I replied in your other topic.
@propagare Such issues can be caused by plugin conflicts, or after adding something custom in the page or the template, but it could have other causes. If the issue is still happening, I suggest to send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website and admin login (user and pass) and an example of the issue, we will check as soon as possible.
Let us know.
Thank you!
Hi,
So when you access the pages panel in wordpress there is a critical error. What if you deactivate more plugins? Leave just theme plugins active and check again. Maybe it’s a problem that happens due to insufficient wp memory, and by deactivating plugins there is more free memory. If you check in the theme system status panel is the wp memory set to at least 256M? -> https://prnt.sc/2Bo3sC0eIzdk Actually even if it is, I suggest setting it to 512M, it can be done in the wp-config file -> https://prnt.sc/bNokB9oAbAVW
If that doesn’t work, we could take a look as well, maybe we can figure out the cause. In this case you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website, admin login (user and pass) and also access to cPanel or FTP.
Thanks.
Hi,
That means you are using the older standard header templates. In this case the module that displays the posts in the live search can only be customized using the global settings https://prnt.sc/LlosNc8Un4KE Please note that disabling the date there will affect all the blocks and modules, not just the live search. For more advanced customization please consider switching to cloud headers which you can fully customize with the composer https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Headers
In case you just want the date removed from the live search, and you are not yet ready to switch to cloud headers, please enter this CSS -> https://pastebin.com/ryMaeFZD in the theme custom CSS section https://prnt.sc/wWJSRj_1ouC3 Then clear the cache to make sure the code applies. The date should be gone from the live search, like this https://prnt.sc/7r4GQQs1lO7L
Let us know if we can help with something else and we will check as soon as possible.
Thanks.
Hi,
I agree. Since the WP Rocket plugin already is lazyloading the footer https://prnt.sc/Iye8qEXx2LJr using the option from the theme on top of it could lead to issues.
That is however an unusual issue, because from what I see in your screenshots the block header style seems to be changing from style 8 https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-header-8/ to style 1 https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-header-1/ The styles are created with CSS, maybe if you use the option to remove unused CSS from the rocket plugin it may be removing more than it should. Or maybe it’s a combination of things that causes it. If I would have seen the issue, then the problem would be clearer after checking with the browser inspector.
Anyway, the footer seems to display alright now while looking at it as a regular visitor https://prnt.sc/EfCe7blO-bzu
Thanks.
Hi,
I believe that’s on your blog. The footer can be customized with the composer. If you edit for example the homepage with the composer https://prnt.sc/9ORTEOqJmztt and scroll down to the footer, you can click on anything and customize it https://prnt.sc/VdlRyG4eUfXu
The posts that Popular Posts displays depends on the filtering and sorting it uses. It may be set on popular sorting, which can display older posts as well if they are popular. Or it may be “stuck” if the options required for the theme to count post views are not active. I suggest changing the sorting to random 7 days, to have some variety of new posts in that block https://prnt.sc/g9fHJYkj22t5 as a quick solution.
Everything can be customized with the composer. The theme panel is very rarely needed to be used. It was used more many years ago when the theme used to use the simpler header and footer templates, or post templates, etc. But ever since we added the cloud library and the PRO demos, these are fully built with the composer -> https://tagdiv.com/cloud-library-templates/
Please let us know if we can help with something else and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Thanks.
Hi,
Assuming there are enough posts in the category, the post loop should display them. I see that the loop has an offset of 3. If there are more than 3 posts they should appear in the loop below the slide. Like in this category page https://realtyaggregator.com/category/latest-news/
Are there more than 3 posts in the category? Or if you remove the offset do the posts appear? -> https://prnt.sc/a39rTov04p1M Normally the offset is used to avoid displaying again the same posts that are displayed above.
Let me know.
Thanks.
The new update should be detected if you press the check for updates button in the theme updates panel. Then the new version can be installed. Or, the theme can be updated manually, like any other wordpress theme. It only takes a few minutes to update the theme using any method.
If anyone has issues updating the theme, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login for the website so we can check as well.
@JayWay Sorry to hear that. The update was meant to fix the vulnerability and improve security, not to cause users to request a refund. Please send us an email and let us know what the problems are exactly. Also please provide access to the website so we can investigate. We will gladly take a look. Once the issues are cleared up, we hope that since you like the theme you can continue using it for your website.
Thank you!
Hi,
We released a theme update today. Please update the theme to the latest version. The composer plugin contains the fix for that vulnerability and it’s version was updated to 5.4.2.
Thank you!
The update has been released. Please update the theme to the latest version. The update contains the fix for the respective vulnerability and the composer version has been updated to 5.4.2.
Thank you!
I checked the issue and I see the header menu had a z index of 0 set in the composer https://prnt.sc/4kSKWjCiwSn6 Not sure why it had it, unless it was set there manually. That was the cause of the problem.
I removed the z index and cleared the cache, the issue is solved https://prnt.sc/veqj8dzroch6 Please check as well.
Thanks.
Hi,
That’s an issue that should be fixed starting with the next theme update. But until the update is released, if you want I can fix it on the website so you can use the socials you want. I will need admin login for the website and also access to cPanel, please send these by email at contact@tagdiv.com and I will check as soon as possible. WE are very sorry for this inconvenience.
Thanks.
Hi,
That is very easy to do. You just have to edit the post template with the composer -> https://prnt.sc/dHGZPEbEkfSx and delete the ad boxes -> https://prnt.sc/WDsis4C5iKKy -> https://prnt.sc/Cq80jJM3Ulyp or set your own ads.
Or do the ads not appear in the composer? Please make sure you are not using an adblocker.
Thanks.
Hi,
That is huge. Those seem to be transients from the theme, are you using the cache option for the blocks? – https://prnt.sc/XYn0HmoOEei7 The theme creates hose transients when that cache option for the blocks is used. But normally the transients expire and are deleted automatically, and new ones are created. Maybe something is preventing them from being deleted and they keep pilling up.
I see you are using litespeed. I suggest clearing the transients immediately https://prnt.sc/iF9V5OMErmtY There should be a setting in the database section of the litespeed plugin.
Then I suggest disabling the cache option from he theme for all the blocks where you activated it, to stop generating new ones and repeat the problem again.
If you need help doing these please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login for the website. But until we get to check, Please try to follow my instructions if possible.
Thanks.
Hi,
Autoplay on mobile usually isn’t allowed by most browsers unfortunately. There are articles about it https://www.squarebird.co.uk/why-wont-video-autoplay-on-mobile/ The reasons are quite valid especially for the user experience. The visitors can play the video manually if they choose to.
Thanks.
Hi,
That means there are problems. And I believe they aren’t related.
For the first issue with editing with the composer I suggest entering the code from the bottom of this guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ meaning this one https://prnt.sc/MQRKxmjITK4V in the htaccess file. You can add it at the bottom of the existing code. Then check if the composer works correctly.
For the other issue, with the cloud library, you could try as a first step to check the wp memory and the rest of these parameters mentioned here https://prnt.sc/flMy0UJQE0W3 If these are lower than recommended, I suggest increasing them, the methods are described in the guide I provided.
Or, if you want, we can check these things on the website directly. You can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website, admin login, also access to cPanel or FTP. We will check as soon as possible.
Thanks.
Hi,
I see you use a block in the category page, and it has a load more button. Blocks only have these types of pagination https://prnt.sc/SrAJ3SPrfIxf
If maybe you need numbered pagination, then you can use a post loop instead of a block https://prnt.sc/On_cJinOe4H-
Thanks.
We are checking, we can continue by email.
Thanks.
Hi,
We will take a look at it. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website and admin login. We will check as soon as possible.
Thanks.
Hi,
Please don’t post your login credentials on the forum, the topics can be seen by all forum members. I removed them. I also tried them and the password seems to be incorrect.
Regarding the categories, please make sure that the blocks from the category template are using the correct filter https://prnt.sc/5rB_Q77obejU or else they will display the same posts. Please edit the category template with the composer and check the blocks.
If you want us to login and check issues on the website, please let us know by email. You can send us an email with the login credentials at contact@tagdiv.com
Thanks.
That’s great news. Glad to help.
You can use what you want, we will never remove the standard pack plugin. The differences in performance while using either the standard pack or the newer cloud library are in some cases negligible. With decent caching and optimization and decent hosting, the results are good regardless of using one or the other. Your website will perform in the same way as it did before updating. Then if maybe in the future you want to switch to the cloud library and a PRO demo, then you can always do that. There’s no pressure.
Thanks.
Hi,
Please edit the post template with the composer, click on the featured image element and uncheck this option https://prnt.sc/QFHHcZa0tSpY Then if the featured image has a caption it will be displayed below the image. Please try it.
Thanks.
Hi,
The news ticker title can be changed in the theme panel translation settings
https://prnt.sc/PLi7nO_9xIMp -> https://prnt.sc/bWjztWCb0lh_
Please try it.
Thanks.
I haven’t touched the favicon. The favicon looks fine to me on the website https://prnt.sc/L4DAo8kQTvPM I see its set correctly in the theme. Does it still not appear when you check?
Thanks.
Hi,
Was the theme modified perhaps? Because there’s no variable like that on that line or anywhere in the theme functions file. Or is that a child theme? If you reinstall the theme, and deactivate the child theme if there is one, are the errors still generated?
Thanks.
