Hi,

The wordpress option is indeed active, because it appears in the wordpress login screen https://prnt.sc/fgmiHxNaWIFG It should appear in the theme login as well.

Please check if there is a page set for the login/register in the optin builder https://prnt.sc/QZnw1loOSAoM The page set there should contain the page login/register element https://prnt.sc/Cyf86zhbfa3Y

Thanks.

Hi,

That’s a setting for the row https://prnt.sc/-TcHBuUCzGoK for mobile. So for example if you set a background video for the row on desktop, and on mobile you want a different video, or an image instead of the video, then that option can be used.

The section you have in the homepage now at the top is a row with a background image, containing a block which displays 1 post. Which is fine if that is what you want. Let me know if you need help customizing it.

Thanks.

Menu - reply

Hi,

The sign in option from the mobile menu can be disabled in the theme panel https://prnt.sc/xODt0uJu3iMU I see you already disabled it https://prnt.sc/1njQ72WD7MLW

By default there are a few socials that display in the mobile menu. They don’t lead anywhere they just have placeholders set. Please check in the theme panel and remove those placeholders https://prnt.sc/iswjPoXA8-Gc for the ones that have them.

A background image for the mobile menu can be set in the theme panel https://prnt.sc/VqMT7qadQXlZ
Background colors can also be set https://prnt.sc/kaA-dC2Ds8aS

If you make changes and they are not visible on the website, I suggest clearing the cache.

Thanks.

Hi,

All the services use the same taxonomy template https://prnt.sc/rANDHV248WDg If you add something in the template, it will displayed for all the services.

If you don’t have that many services, you could create a template for each of them. Duplicate the existing one https://prnt.sc/7JfdcCb9tCIN and rename the copies to know which one is which. Then add what you want in each of them. Then visit the service pages on your website and set each template, they will all appear here https://prnt.sc/JfMoZjZM6Aj7 Click on the name of the template there and the template will be set for that service only.

But if you have many services, then a different solution is needed. You could create another custom field for the services, in the ACF plugin https://prnt.sc/LfyV3_gomBRw Then you can add information in that custom field by editing the service https://prnt.sc/XL4EV0n3JBTX It will however probably require additional design, to display that custom field better in the service page on the website.

Thanks.

Hi,

Maybe the block and the post loop from the category template aren’t configured correctly.

The block at the top seems to display the same posts regardless of what category I check. Please make sure the block is using the correct filter in the composer https://prnt.sc/rk4HPzG_1SJm

Not sure about the post loop below the block however. If you add a new post loop does it display posts?

If you want I can take a closer at this. You can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login for the website, then I can check directly on the website.

Thanks.

Hi,

That is pretty unusual. I know it can happen sometimes, usually due to code in the htaccess https://www.siteground.com/kb/website-downloading-index/ and other causes https://theguidex.com/wordpress-download-file-instead-of-opening-in-browser/ But not due to using the AMP plugin. I don’t think I’ve seen a case where the AMP plugin would cause such an issue.

If I check your website now, the homepage loads correctly on mobile https://prnt.sc/hrqZdSQr_uW- No AMP. But as you said, it may not for visitors that accessed the website when the issue was happening.

You could try this code in the functions file or load it with a code snippet plugin https://pastebin.com/8CAVb8BH It sets a few meta tags for the homepage which should instruct the browser to not use a stored version of the page. Leave the code there for a day or two, then remove it. And please be sure to clear all the caches, from the website and from the hosting if there is any.

Thanks.

It will be much easier to create a text custom field, call it subtitle or in any way you want, and attach it to posts. Then import the data in it with the all import plugin, for the posts you want. Then show that custom field on the post pages instead of the subtitle, using the custom field element from the composer. It should work just fine.

Thanks.

Sorry about that, I corrected it now, please check again. It should look like this https://prnt.sc/f0vRH-k6Tm5i If you see any other issues please let me know.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay.

We are all checking with various mobiles including iPhones, and the menu is working on your website at this time https://prnt.sc/975pz4s0ndif Does it maybe not work when you are logged in? Or how exactly does it show when you check?

The only thig that is not working is the search on mobile. This might be if you disabled this option https://prnt.sc/AEL2tfQ_JeOc

Maybe it would be best if we check directly on the website, logged in, to see what exactly you are using and what’s happening. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login (user and pass) for the website. We will then check more.

Thanks.

Hi,

That is possible through our subscription plugin https://forum.tagdiv.com/subscriptions/

There are 2 types of content lockers, which either unlock the post by entering the email address, or by paying https://forum.tagdiv.com/lockers/

There is double optin but only for the actual subscribers, meaning the users that register on the website. The users will have to confirm their subscription https://prnt.sc/xYV5OY__JSZ7
For the locker that is unlocked by email only, there is no double optin. The post content is unlocked after entering the email directly.

Our plugin is a simple plugin with basic options, not as advanced as dedicated premium subscription plugins. But it can be used in most cases, depending on the requirements. Please experiment with it.

Thanks.

Hi,

I believe the issue is related to the translations, I see you used the translation option from the theme panel to translate the texts to Serbian.

One of the translated text, related to the comments section, isn’t translated correctly. Please check in the translations panel https://prnt.sc/1bmxaHcyrm64 here https://prnt.sc/KNGRHpxvi5oI Modify the translated text to this:

пријављени као %s. Уредите свој профил.

Like this https://prnt.sc/caA7qkq2G8vb

Then the issue should be solved. Please try it and let me know.

Thanks.

Hi,

So you would like to add and display a featured video? Is the post type created with the ACF plugin? If so, first make sure that the post formats are enabled for it https://prnt.sc/4fONmTXSCSLz Then you can set the format of your custom posts to video https://prnt.sc/xhUC3xjWz3MU and add a link to the video https://prnt.sc/lWhOUEd1Tiny

The CPT post template from the compass demo will display the featured video here https://prnt.sc/Cluvy2uCHZiG No need to modify that element in any way.

Thanks.

Hi,

That might not work. The subtitle is kept in the wp_postmeta table under the meta key td_post_theme_settings, and the data is serialized. And it’s not just the subtitle, everything from the theme that is related to a post is kept there, for example https://prnt.sc/dGC2FVO-28bK Doing it through sql is risky, and I don’t think there’s a plugin that could do something like this. Maybe its possible through a php script but I can’t say for sure. Unfortunately even if its possible somehow, it may not be so easy. Doing it wrong may damage the rest of the theme post meta.

I would actually suggest something different. You could just import the subtitles in a custom field and display that instead of the theme subtitle. A custom field can be created with the ACF plugin and attached to posts https://www.wpallimport.com/import-advanced-custom-fields-acf-csv/ Then you can display it in the post page with the theme, the composer has a custom field element https://prnt.sc/sVivXW1izpSr This method would be easier and it should work fine.

Thanks.

Hi,

That’s a very old theme version. However, even if you update the theme the website should look the same.

It is important that you install the standard pack plugin after you update https://prnt.sc/AjDfjpCqFbq_ This plugin we added in Newspaper 10 contains all the old blocks and templates, which are separate from the main theme now. There is an article about it here https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-update-standard-pack-or-tagdiv-cloud-templates/

Be sure to also clear the cache, or the optimized resources, or cloudflare if you use it, after updating the theme.

If you use a child theme I suggest deactivating it after updating, as it could cause problems.

And maybe it would be best to try updating on a staging/testing clone of the website first, if possible. If you have a staging already, I could take a look there as well, you can send the access details and link to contact@tagdiv.com

Thanks.

Hi,

The theme is very easy to install.

The first step is the installation itself
https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-wordpress/

The second step is activating the theme with the license key https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-6-how-to-activate-the-theme/

The third step is to install a theme demo
https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/

Then it’s a matter of learning how to use the theme while customizing the demo.

If you need help with either of these steps, we will provide assistance. You can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to your website and admin login (user and pass). Then we will log in and help directly on the website.

Let us know at any time.

Thanks.

Hi,

Yes you should. The theme uses only the content from that page on mobile, which google “sees” anyway when it crawls the website’s homepage as a mobile user agent. The mobile page itself isn’t used or needed for anything else.

Thanks.

Hi,

Normally that’s how it’s done. Auto ads can appear anywhere on the website, but google provides an option to exclude certain areas https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/12626543?hl=en This should work, and its the only way to do it. Can you not select the area below the header despite the ads not appearing in the preview? It should be possible.

Thanks.

Hi,

I can’t say unfortunately, such issues are not normal. The composer doesn’t normally crash the servers of the websites.

My first suggestion is to check if the theme requirements are fulfilled https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ If it’s a large website with many plugins, the wp memory can be increased more than the recommended value.

I also suggest checking the server error logs, debug logs, etc. There may be useful information in them.

If you want I can take a look as well. You can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide access to the website, and also to cPanel or FTP or something similar. I’ll check as well, maybe I can find more clues about the issue.

Since the server is crashing, maybe it would also be a good idea to contact the hosting provider so they can investigate as well, or at least maybe they can provide more details about what’s happening.

Thanks.

Hi,

If you use a cloud category template https://prnt.sc/ZiKgb8aDYKDt then you must edit it with the composer and add the category description element in it https://prnt.sc/coQVn_n4OZ3u That element will display the category descriptions you have set.

I believe you already did this as I see the descriptions on the category pages at this time https://prnt.sc/LzdtrcTkmUEN

Let me know if I can help with something else.

Thanks.

Hi,

Do you want to move the key to a different website? I see you are still using it on the websites where the key is assigned now. If you want to move the key and the theme to a different website, this requires removing them from the previous websites.

Please mention what exactly you would like to do.

Thanks.
