Hi,

After the update please clear any caching the website may have, also purge CDN files. We are currently investigating some reported issues with the images.

If the issue remains after doing this, please try and disable the lazyload for the time being
https://www.screencast.com/t/79PwbzGlCpun

There is an investigation currently concerning an issue with the theme lazyload feature, sorry for any inconvenience.

Thanks

Hi,

So after you update the theme to the latest version the theme panel will not save anything anymore? In most cases the issue is caused by one of the cases below.

Could be caused by insufficient resources
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
In this case the hosting provider should be able to increase them.

Or it could be a security setting, module or firewall, as in this case where the theme panel was not saving any settings
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/cant-save-theme-options-2/

Also if you use Wordfence try to set it on learning more
https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/learning-mode/

If you already checked or tried these, we could take a look. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, also cPanel or FTP if possible. Please include a link to this topic in the email.

Thanks

If you are experiencing such an issue with the images please try and disable the lazyload for the time being
https://www.screencast.com/t/79PwbzGlCpun

Also I see that there is an image not found in your website which may slow down the loading speed
https://www.screencast.com/t/icLXbWl6
Please check in the theme panel here – https://www.screencast.com/t/I8sNUWQ53H
Remove or replace any image found there.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Hi,

Also be sure to check if the tagDiv composer has updated automatically, if the shortcodes are displayed chances are it has not.

You can check here in the theme plugins panel
https://www.screencast.com/t/jze9SXSw

After the update please clear any caching the website may have, also purge CDN files. We are currently investigating some reported issues with the images.

@Edward
Have you updated the theme and experienced any problems with the thumbnails? Any feedback you can provide is much appreciated.

Hi,

That will load the icons in the tagDiv composer I believe
https://www.screencast.com/t/WwKyPKXLH0nE
We will try to add font awesome 5 icons in the future as well. Currently there is no way to deactivate it unless maybe removing it in the code.

Hi,

You are referring to the zoom effect when the big grid modules are hovered. That effect is specific to grids only, it is not available for other elements like single images for example.

There is a solution in this topic where the same effect is adapted to work on a single image elements, you could give it a try
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/text-with-image-and-single-image-elements/

Hi,

I have checked the website menu on edge, it looks like this for me
https://www.screencast.com/t/OFRKDfllTd
Maybe I am not checking what I should? What should I check exactly?

The fonts seem to be with HTTPS so it would not be an issue of mixed content
https://www.screencast.com/t/WvE1bQ8j6
Browsing the website I see no problem with the fonts or how they load, they load instantly with no problem whatsoever.

Thanks

Hi,

That should not happen, the booster will deactivate only if it detects a plugin that is not part of this list
https://www.screencast.com/t/NQKpKv8pZ
The cloud library plugin will not cause problems with it, since it is included in the list.

Is the speed booster plugin deactivating as a plugin in the plugins section or you are checking it’s status here?

I could give you the code of the fast news cloud post template, here it is
https://pastebin.com/XiPAUF7b

Import a different cloud post template and edit it in the backend, remove all it’s code and enter the one provided
https://www.screencast.com/t/xx6MpXc3Jv
https://www.screencast.com/t/gxaRF1KH0hH

That is the template used by the fast news demo. All that remains is that you build the content in a similar way.

I can give you the code of the post content as well, if it would be of use to you
https://pastebin.com/7sBvwwt5

Please let me know if you need more help.

Hi,

We have re-uploaded the theme package to themeforest. Seems the issue was with a file from the new revolution slider plugin provided with the theme.

The current theme package now contains the previous revolution slider plugin version.

It remains to be seen how the developers of the slider plugin will treat this issue.

Thanks

Hi,

We will investigate these image related problems caused by the update. In the meantime the fix would be to disable the theme lazyload in the theme panel
https://www.screencast.com/t/79PwbzGlCpun
We are very sorry for this inconvenience, we tested the lazyload on our side extensively, but it seems that there may be some problems after all.

Thanks

The temporary solution is to deactivate the theme lazyload in the theme panel after the update to 9.2 until we investigate. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Also be sure to clear all caching and purge CDN, this may cause the problem after the update.

Hi,

@delfinista
I have accessed your website and I see the problem with the images. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login as well as cPanel or FTP if possible. We will try to identify why this happens in some cases.
If possible please test while having only theme plugins active and let us know the result in the email.

@Chris
I checked the website you provided, the images seem to load fine in your case
http://prntscr.com/lrhbtr

@all If you can send us an email as mentioned above we will investigate all cases to see if there is a problem with the loading of the images.

Thanks

Hi,

So you uploaded the font as specified in the theme panel (make sure it has woff format). It should then appear in the selection drop-down and you can select it for the elements you want.
The theme will load and apply it where needed.

From what I can see the font is blocked on your website as the link to it is HTTP instead of HTTPS
https://www.screencast.com/t/7SwamVduw
That would explain it, chnage the links to the fonts to HTTPS and they should be allowed load.

Thanks

Hi,

The image is already the full width of the post content (696px with sidebar). The rest of the content is wider for some reason
http://prntscr.com/lred0e
I see other posts from the website have the same issue, others have the post content too narrow
http://prntscr.com/lreaqh

From what I can tell the posts have been built with Visual composer, we strongly don’t recommend this, but have taken steps to try and fix layout issues that could appear.

1. In the case where the content is narrower maybe you have designed the content with a sidebar in Visual composer (split row)
https://www.screencast.com/t/BDOre6r3
You would have to edit the post and make the row full (no sidebar). There is no need for a sidebar in the post content.

2. In the other case where the content is larger, I could give you a CSS for it
http://prntscr.com/lretvf
Enter it in Theme panel->Custom code CSS section. It should fix that case.

@media (min-width: 767px) {
.single .vc_column_container {
padding-left: 24px;
padding-right:24px;
}}

3. As for building posts, you could try out from now on to use the tagDiv composer and cloud library plugin
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
This will allow you to build post templates actually, not the post content itself. The cloud post templates can be seen and even edited here
https://affiliate.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single

Please let me know if you have more questions.

Hi,

When WordPress will receive the new update, a theme update will be released. We made tests on our side with the new editor, issues could happen that are not caused by the theme but by WordPress itself.

As many recommend in multiple topics online, it would be better to first test this not in the live site, but in a development copy of the website if possible.

Some examples here
https://yoast.com/should-you-update-to-wordpress-5-0/
https://wpml.org/2018/12/wait-before-updating-to-wordpress-5-0/

Hi,

I don’t quite understand what you are trying to do unfortunately. The actual post content has to be entered in the post creation/edit screen in the backend. The cloud template post content element will pull and display it once it is applied to the post
https://www.screencast.com/t/zxfPFs7kDzn
So any modifications to the text or images have to be made there, in the post content which has to be created by you as you wish.

In the template you can place any element available in the tagDiv composer, they will appear in every post that uses the respective template. The post content can’t be modified in the template.

Thanks

Hi,

Thank you very much for your appreciation, we try our best.

1. So you want to add a block to display posts, after the post content. The only way of doing that would be to use a cloud post template, these can be built with the tagDiv composer
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Here you can see all the available cloud post templates at the moment, preview and even edit them
https://affiliate.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single
More templates will be added in the next theme updates. If the post contains a smart list, use a smart list template (designed by us or create your own with the blank template). This way a block can be added after the smart list.

2. Smart lists will be displayed in AMP, but not with next/prev buttons. The list elements will appear one after the other. If AMP is disabled and the mobile theme is active there will be next/prev buttons on mobile.

The mobile theme plugin and our AMP plugin can be active at the same time. The AMP version will be accessed by users only through Google search results page, others will receive the mobile theme version.

3. There could be a way for that. There will be a class on the body with the number of the slide in the smart list
https://www.screencast.com/t/rtzHNzQyrviK
So you could do something like this – https://www.screencast.com/t/ZWNNGPcu
Code used in example here, multiply it as needed

.paged-2 .td-smart-list-button {
color:red;
}

Let me know if you have more questions.

Hi,

Indeed, that demo has some customization for block 15 (removes the thumbnail and ads some design)
http://prntscr.com/lr2krm

When installing a demo an additional stylesheet will be loaded
https://www.screencast.com/t/s0ygO0nAd8lO
That contains design for the particular demo. It will not be through the theme panel custom CSS section, but an additional stylesheet.

The connection will be through the demo body class that will be set
https://www.screencast.com/t/HT3xz2kSG

You could also use flex blocks, these have settings to hide the thumbnail and many customization settings
https://www.screencast.com/t/f1emI5vFKzIf
Here you can preview and even edit designs made by us based on flex blocks
https://affiliate.tagdiv.com/#/load/Blocks

These cloud blocks and templates can be imported through the cloud library plugin
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

Let me know if you have more questions.

Hi,

How are you testing exactly? The theme has basic and required structured data by default, it doesn’t have any settings in the matter.

To add additional data you could use a plugin, or maybe manually
https://onlinemediamasters.com/how-to-add-rich-snippets-to-wordpress/

The logo should occupy the full height of the header (100%), it is intended. You could use some CSS to make it smaller and add a margin but this CSS can only be entered in the plugin itself. The AMP plugin does not have a custom CSS section at the moment
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-change-this-color-and-text/

Something like this maybe – https://www.screencast.com/t/BFsSVhOX

#td-header-menu .td-main-menu-logo .td-logo .td-amp-site-logo.i-amphtml-element.i-amphtml-layout-fixed.i-amphtml-layout-size-defined.i-amphtml-layout {
max-height: 50px;
margin-top: 5px;
}

Hi,

That is not possible, but now you can create post templates to be just like pages if needed. The tagDiv composer can be used to create post templates
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

Or maybe use a sharing plugin that can be displayed on pages and allow sharing for them. The theme sharing is just for posts at the moment.

Thanks

Simion C.
tagDiv Staff

Hi,

Is that a post cloud template? The post content cannot be entered in the template, create the post normally, then apply the cloud template
https://www.screencast.com/t/eBakBX3o
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

In the template there will be some placeholder text for the post content, but once you apply the template to a post, it will show the content you have created.

Regarding the demos, you can install/uninstall and change them as you wish. There is no limit in this matter.

– If you install with content, it will import demo posts, menus, logos, categories, the homepage, custom design where available, theme panel settings.
– If you install without content, it will import only the design and theme panel settings.

In case I misunderstand something please correct me and I will try to help you.

Hi,

There is a small comparison you could read – https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-vs-newsmag-how-to-choose-the-perfect-wordpress-theme-for-your-project/

The features of Newspaper are mentioned in the themeforest page
https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609
Also check the Newspaper demos to see what can be achieved with it
https://demo.tagdiv.com/select_demo/select_demo_newspaper

When it comes to flexibility, wider layouts, cloud templates etc Newspaper can offer them all. The tagDiv composer that comes with it has many more elements and settings than with Newsmag
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
You can test the cloud templates live here (preview and edit)
https://affiliate.tagdiv.com/#/load/All

The categories and tags that you have created won’t be affected when changing the theme. Please let us know if you have more questions or need help.

Thanks
