Hi,

That is unusual, the theme panel font settings should apply for the main menu. Did you install a demo?
Some demos define font properties for various elements in the demo stylesheet, so theme panel settings may not apply.

I could take a look as well, if possible please provide a link to your website.

Thanks

Somehow I missed that, indeed if the random posts from 7 days works and only displays posts that qualify, then the other popular 7 days should work.

Please check if the post views are counted properly, open a post page and refresh the page a few times, check if the count goes up.

Caching may still affect these sorting methods if you use it, that is why they are declared incompatible with caching. It may work partially or not at all.

Hi,

Try to update to the latest version of the theme, and Twitter will work
https://www.screencast.com/t/KIPQ5j7bC

If you don’t want to update try the social counter plugin from here

Hi,

What plugin do you use for the contact form and how are you implementing it in the page? Contact form 7 or WP forms shortcode should work fine with the theme. The form shortcode once created can be entered in a text element, like columns text, text wilt title, text block etc.

Hi,

It seems the website is unavailable at the moment
https://www.screencast.com/t/kmpcWVHtXEKW

I will take a look, let me know when this is possible.

Thanks

Sorry my mistake, no need to copy the file, the child theme already has a functions file
https://www.screencast.com/t/9Tl8nerWTq
Leave the main functions file of the theme where it is, enter codes in the child theme functions file. Sorry again for my mistake.

Hi,

@Piotr1985

A general width setting does not exist, you can stretch rows that you use in pages, also use full width big grids.
There are full width elements to be placed in pages, like grids
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-1/ (10 types of full width grids)

Rows in pages can be stretched – https://www.screencast.com/t/LjPxJ1iLIIz

Header and Footer elements – https://www.screencast.com/t/HgtsNIs1

There are also multi-purpose elements in the tagDiv composer, you could check them out.

Thanks

It seems to appear right below this ad – https://www.screencast.com/t/wBxKcAIO
It is invisible because of some CSS positioning it outside of the actual page, but it still loads.

From what I can find online this could be a type of malware that infected the website
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/42901355/malicious-text-appears-in-all-pages-and-posts-how-do-i-get-rid-of-it
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/known-javascript-malware-details-httpsucuri-netmalwareentrymwspamseos/

Users with a similar issue in those topics mention that a plugin might be the cause downloaded from various sources. You could try to deactivate them all, leave only theme plugins active. Then if you have caching, clear it. Check if the text still displays in the AMP page for example.

Glad it worked. Regarding the AMP issue, I don’t know what that is. I can’t tell from a screenshot.
If you could provide a link to a post where it appears I could take a look at it. Does it appear in all posts? Does it appear in the desktop post version? It could be a plugin, code or shortcode entered in the post content.

The AMP plugin does not have any font settings at the moment, these might be introduced at a future date. So in order to modify the font size of the post content the only option at the moment would be to modify it in the plugin stylesheet
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-change-the-font-in-tagdiv-amp-plugin/

Hi,

Maybe you have caching active? The 7 days popular sorting will not work with a caching plugin as mentioned in the guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/7-days-post-sorting/
So if you use caching the 7 days will not work for any block, grid etc not only the news ticker. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I tested it with no caching, the ticker displays the posts with most views from a 7 days period of time, from the categories you choose.

Thanks

Hi,

That issue is quite common with WordPress, a simple Google search for the message would be enough to see that. It is not specific to a theme, it may happen regardless of theme used. For example – https://wordpress.org/support/topic/the-link-you-followed-has-expired/
In that case the max upload size was limited, increasing it solved the problem.

Check this guide carefully and make modifications if needed
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Contact your hosting provider if needed and ask them to make changes as the guide suggests.

Also note that the most recommended and reliable method to install a theme is by FTP
https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
This is also used to update, install plugins etc.

Hi,

Add it to the functions file, in the child theme would be better. This is the functions file
https://www.screencast.com/t/fBboeXBr
Copy the file in the child theme and enter the desired codes.

From the theme booster folder not all files are supported

Hi,

I am not sure what exactly you want to do with the search and what format you are referring to. From what I can see there is a section at the top of the page containing some kind of search results
https://www.screencast.com/t/BroyH0OX
Those might be added by the plugin you installed. What exactly do you want to achieve there?

Hi,

It seems to appear when you scroll up. Be sure to use the always sticky option if you want it fixed at the top of the website as you scroll down or up

Hi,

Pages built with the composer will not work. Pages built with the default WordPress editor. Example of an AMP page
http://prntscr.com/k89xpn
http://prntscr.com/k89xyr
AMP is supposed to deliver performance based on simplified content, not display heavy elements like grids, blocks etc. Then there would be no point for it.

So if you want to have an AMP homepage the page must contain only default content, created with the WordPress editor

Hi,

Thank you for mentioning the solution in your case, this will be helpful for other users with the same problem. Thank you again.

Hi,

The theme has a news ticker, it can slide posts (it will show the post titles)
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/news-ticker/

This can be placed anywhere the tagDiv composer can be used. That does not include the top menu or main menu.
The ticker or any other page elements cannot be used in the menu, only in the page content, or as of recently when building post templates, category templates etc.

You could try a ticker or news sliding plugin which has options for positioning, then display that on top of the website. That would be one way to do it.

Hi,

Indeed there seems to be an issue with the search icon line-height when the menu is sticky. Please enter this code in the Theme panel->Custom CSS section

.td-header-menu-wrap.td-affix #td-header-search-button .td-icon-search:before {
line-height: 48px!important;
}

Then check the search position when the header menu is sticky again. Let me know.

I will add this on our list and it will be fixed.

Thanks

Hi,

The order can be set descending or ascending for the smart list. Descending means that the list will start from the last list item in the post content and descend to the the first. The other is the opposite.

I currently see it like this on page load – https://www.screencast.com/t/S3JbrGiN5pV
So this would be ascending. Seems to work fine from what I can see.

For the sharing, you could use the theme sharing. Most socials are there
https://forum.tagdiv.com/sharing/
If the jetpack share is a must, try to place the end smart list shortcode at the end of the list if you did not already, then enable the jetpack share and see what happens

Hi,

Are you referring to the cloud templates for categories? if you apply a template for more categories, then any change made to the template will affect them all.

You will have to create multiple templates and set them per category for unique design or settings by category. There is no limit for how many templates you can have, name them as you want to better keep track.

Hi,

Most issues with images are caused by plugins or code entered in the theme panel, theme files or child theme. Check all of these one at a time. Deactivate all your plugins except theme plugins, temporarily remove codes you entered in the theme panel (ad codes, custom codes, scripts etc). If you use a child theme deactivate it. After each step check if the issue is solved.

The multiple errors in the website suggest a conflict
https://www.screencast.com/t/DEkp7BkDpzbA
Try what I suggested, hopefully you can identify the cause of the image problem.

Also be sure to check the theme requirements carefully, insufficient resources provided by the server and inactive required modules will cause the theme and theme plugins to not function correctly
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
The WP memory can be set higher if possible and allowed by the host, for most users a value of 256M is sufficient. Let us know what you find.

Thanks

Hi,

Instead of guesswork, it would be better to provide a link to your website and details about what exactly you want to do, which elements should be affected and where.
That would be quicker, the code provided above would be an example and will apply only for a particular module.

Hi,

Maybe some of the users want to go through the smart list like that by clicking fast on the next button. There is no delaying action for the smart list button as a theme setting, it will load normally.

Each website visitor will have to decide by himself how to use the website and read the posts. If some users want to click various buttons faster, they should be able to do that.

Maybe I am misunderstanding something, please correct me if that is the case.

Simion C.
tagDiv Staff

That method is not that reliable based on user feedback. Update by the other methods, by WordPress or the most recommended by FTP. In the guide the steps for each method is mentioned.

Be sure to check the Before you update practices, making a backup is a good thing to do before making any major changes to the website.
