Hi,
You could simply use a different cloud template for the translated posts. Duplicate the one you use for the initial language or use different ones. Build them as you want.
So for example I have a cloud template that I will use for English and one for French
– https://prnt.sc/p4knzw
I set them each for their respective language of the post
– https://prnt.sc/p4koix – https://prnt.sc/p4kor1
Result – https://prnt.sc/p4ksy8 – https://prnt.sc/p4kt4i the template will change when the language changes. You could give it a try.
Thanks
Hi,
The Newsmag theme has a fixed width for the content and also for the footer section. It can’t be stretched as with the Newspaper theme, or allow wider or full width layouts. It is more like a magazine looking layout. Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
1. Those are the mobile ad spots, they will display on mobile. So for example the header ad will be displayed in the header – https://prnt.sc/ov3vyf the footer ad in the footer, The loop ad will appear in the list of articles in the homepage, category page, tag page
after a number of modules set by you – https://prnt.sc/ov3x1k – https://prnt.sc/ov3xha
The smart list ad will appear on mobile if the post contains a smart list.
2. You mean the logo for mobile? That can be set in the theme panel
– https://prnt.sc/ov3yjb
3. The AMP ads spot is for auto ads – https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/9011462
– https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/9011465
If you want to display auto ads on AMP, create an AMP ad code and paste it in the theme panel, example – https://prnt.sc/ov400l
No need to enter the mentioned script in the head, the theme will load it automatically, just enter the ad code in the panel.
The AMP analytics is for entering an analytics code for AMP
– https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/amp-analytics/
Note that it must be of this form – https://prnt.sc/ov41fb
Thanks
Hi,
I see it loads slow sometimes, the website appears to be waiting for quite a while to load a gif which eventually is not found – https://prnt.sc/oum73d – https://prnt.sc/oum7es
Looks like it could be connected to Facebook pixel. Is this issue solved if you remove the pixel code or plugin?
As for responsive, it looks alright to me – https://prnt.sc/oum8a7 Should I check anywhere more specific? If there are issues maybe they can be solved with some CSS. Le me know.
Thanks
Hi,
There are some header styles that display the logo centered, above the menu
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-header-styles/
The header styles don’t have settings, their design is predefined. Maybe it could be possible with CSS, depending on how exactly you want it to look. I could give it a try.
The theme won’t use the posts page setting provided by WordPress. If you would like a posts page (list of posts displayed by latest) simply create a new page (call it blog for example) and select the latest articles template for it – https://prnt.sc/oum3ch then add it to the menu for example. There are settings for the latest articles template, also it can have a sidebar set.
Using this template it isn’t required to enter any actual content in the page. If you do, the latest articles section will be displayed below the content.
Let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
Loading speed depends on many factors. You could check some guides as to how it can be improved and what are the potential issues that can affect the loading speed. For example
– https://www.wpbeginner.com/wordpress-performance-speed/
For me your website is loading quite fast – https://prnt.sc/oulyvj as I am getting the cached version.
Thanks
Hi,
@lidlpatrik The Newsmag theme isn’t capable of full width, the content has a fixed width, changing or forcing this fixed width with CSS will damage the content layout (blocks, grids etc).
On the other hand if you would like full width design, Newspaper is the way to go. The rows have settings with stretching settings and more row layouts – https://prnt.sc/oultwe
Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
You can remove rows, not columns inside rows, drag and drop them in the right corner
https://prnt.sc/oulpli -> https://prnt.sc/oulpxi
Or select the row and hit delete on the keyboard. Columns are resulted from splitting the row – https://prnt.sc/oulqn4
Actual columns from a row can’t be deleted, you can leave them empty and use just the ones you want, enter content in those only.
Thanks
Hi,
So you want the images inside the post content to have the same width as the featured image in the template I mentioned above. All you have to do is to use the full width option for the images – https://prnt.sc/oulnsj -> https://prnt.sc/oulnza
The images will look like this – https://prnt.sc/oulo7x
If I misunderstand let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
There is indeed a darker gradient set over the grid modules, this is intended to make the article title more visible. If the images used as featured are brighter the white title and other post meta may be harder to see.
However if you would like to remove this gradient, I could give you a code for it, a setting doesn’t exist.
Before: https://prnt.sc/oulii9
After: https://prnt.sc/ouliqq
Enter the code in the theme panel custom CSS section
.td-grid-style-1 .td-module-thumb a:last-child:before {
display: none;
}
As it is it will affect all grids that use style 1, I could modify it if needed. Let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
That is how it has always been. We haven’t had many requests to add sorting settings for the related articles, I could however add it on the list.
You could make a modification in the code to sort the related articles by random
– https://prnt.sc/oul9q4
Other than this there would be no other way at the moment. Sorry again for the inconvenience.
Thanks
Hi,
That is possible with cloud templates. While editing a cloud template for example a single template, you can use the header manager to select a different header.
So for example I have 2 languages for a post. I have 2 cloud post templates that I apply. One for the (in my case) English post and one for the French translated post
– https://prnt.sc/oujqga
– https://prnt.sc/oujqzk
Since these templates are made with the composer, they can have different headers.
So my English post can have one header, and the French can have a different one selected in the header manager while editing the cloud post templates
– https://prnt.sc/oujryj
If you don’t use cloud templates, maybe it could be done through the string translations of WPML, let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
The Newsmag theme has limited width, it is more like a magazine. As opposed to Newspaper which has full width capabilities and multi-purpose elements
– https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-vs-newsmag-how-to-choose-the-perfect-wordpress-theme-for-your-project/
Please check the demos for both themes, to see what can be achieved with each

– https://demo.tagdiv.com/select_demo/select_demo_newspaper
Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
The related section is automatically sorted by latest, and filtered by category or tag depending on the setting you choose. A setting to change the order from latest to something else isn’t available. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks
Hi,
I browsed the website on a mobile and with the emulator for quite a while, I have to say that for me it works perfectly fine, same as on desktop. Maybe it happens at specific moments for some reason
– https://prnt.sc/otd9we – https://prnt.sc/otd9zr – https://prnt.sc/otda3t
Would it be possible to contact the hosting provider so they can take a look at the server error log? Could be valuable information about the issue there.
Our email is contact@tagdiv.com but if the website is working fine at the time of testing, we wouldn’t quite know what to check. Let us know.
Thanks
Hi,
I checked the website, seems to be working fine now – https://prnt.sc/osjtu6
– https://prnt.sc/osjtxr – https://prnt.sc/osju41
It would be quite unusual if on desktop the internal links are working, and on mobile they don’t.
Thanks
Hi,
So you don’t want to use the composer for a specific page, you could use the default WordPress editor (classic or Gutenberg). Both have heading elements
– https://prnt.sc/osjj38
If this is not what you meant, some more details would be very helpful. Mention what exactly you want to do.
Thanks
Hi,
Now this is quite an unusual issue. Looks like when I click on the drop-down arrow it refreshes the page, like a misclick on the current language menu item.
For me it works fine on mobile – https://prnt.sc/osimjj -> https://prnt.sc/osimgk
I found a similar topic about this issue here – https://wpml.org/forums/topic/opening-language-switcher-drop-down-causes-refresh-page/
You could try the javascript code mentioned there, in the theme or child theme functions file. Then check if the issue is solved.
Thanks
Hi,
That can’t be done with the Newsmag theme, the post content width is limited to 640px for most post templates – https://prnt.sc/oshddx
So if the post template displays the featured image in the content it will be limited to that width.
Some post templates display a bigger image, in this one (template 3) the featured image is 681px wide – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/how-to-combine-food-for-a-nice-diner-night/
You can check the post templates here – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag
– https://prnt.sc/oshenr
Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
I could modify the code, try it like this
#td-header-menu .menu-item-wpml-ls-2-en ul,
#td-header-menu .menu-item-wpml-ls-2-es ul {
padding-top: 48px;
}
I have also made some tests on my end with multiple languages, it is the same. Once I switch from the main language, I can’t switch back to it. So I start with English as default – https://prnt.sc/oshayr if I change the language I can’t see English anymore
– https://prnt.sc/oshb7b
It isn’t a functionality issue, some CSS will fix it. Let me know if that code works better, remove the previous one.
Thanks
Hi,
No problem whatsoever, I will remove the topic, then you can post it again. You can also provide code examples by pastebin – https://pastebin.com/
Thanks
Hi,
From what I can see it’s a CSS issue, the third language is there but invisible. I will test this on my end with 3 or more languages and try to recreate it, it will be fixed.
The quickfix is to enter this code in the Custom CSS section of the theme panel
– https://prnt.sc/os4pay
.wpml-ls-item ul {
padding-top: 48px;
}
Let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
That is actually a page, Yoast can be used for pages as well – https://prnt.sc/ork9fh
Simply set the desired meta and update the page. Then check in the page source to see the loaded meta. Shouldn’t be difficult to do.
Thanks
Hi,
The code looks fine, I am looking forward to see the end result being used and if possible a guide that other users may find very helpful.
Thanks
Hi,
@rupesh_ic 2. I see the “Oral healthcare” menu item is a page menu, seems to work fine at the moment
– https://prnt.sc/ooi9hh
It should work fine regardless of the header used. What exactly is the problem with it? Let me know.
3. By default there is a limit in the mega-menu, I believe of 30 sub-categories. For default header templates it can only be changed in the theme code. The default header templates also don’t have layout options.
However using cloud header templates the limit can be set custom – https://prnt.sc/ooicje
Also these have container width and height settings and a great amount of other customization options – https://prnt.sc/ooidx0
@Virendra Singh If you use a cloud header template and you width to customize the sticky version of it, simply edit the header with the composer and activate the sticky mode (desktop or mobile) – https://prnt.sc/ooiev6
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-manager/
Now you can customize it as you want. If you don;t want a sticky header, remove all the elements from the sticky mode. Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
