Unfortunately the theme doesn’t have an feature like that but you can add the the link to your desired post in post’s editor and link it to the external source then on front page you need to use module 1 because the other modules don’t display the link in the excerpt or just add the custom link to the custom excerpt field, like this: http://screencast.com/t/Y6PBcAJOg result: http://screencast.com/t/cQzsuvtQs

The theme uses it’s own post views system and since you haven’t used it before the views counter starts from 0. You can try to change theme’s post’s count meta with the one you’ve previously used here: http://screencast.com/t/Nwf9JS1zFOu if you don’t know how to do it we suggest you get a freelancer to do this for you because this need custom modifications and unfortunately we cannot provide any custom services at the moment. You may not need to update the posts, if you use default wp post types: https://codex.wordpress.org/Post_Types with a featured image set for posts. To test that you could try to setup a new test wp install and recreate your current environment with a few posts and pages and then apply the theme and check the result.

We understand, there are several other theme users that have requested this ability and we do have it on our requests list, however unfortunately a more accurate answer than this I can’t provide at the moment because we still need to review this possibilities of implementing this and methods that we may approach. We will get back with and update on this as soon as we have a decision on this. Until then you can try to find and use a plugin.
We don’t have a roadmap suggestions system setup at the moment but we may consider creating one as there are lots of feature requests and it’s getting very difficult to follow them.

Sorry for the confusion but as you can see from my initial reply I was referring to the newspaper theme not newsmag I somehow wasn’t aware and wrote about the newspaper theme for which in it’s latest update which was a major one we the grid has been redesigned and it’s width change from 1170px to 1068px.
Unfortunately for the newsmag theme there is not easy way to do this, changing the grid’s width is not an easy job and you would need lots of custom modifications for it. We don’t recommend altering the grid but if you really need this you would have to get a professional’s help and ask him to do all the necessary modifications and testing in this regard.

Not sure how that happens, I suspect it’s a plugin that causes it so make sure that you also test this without using any plugins, empty all cache and test again.

If you are positive that the xml file is the right one then check those two values from the php.ini file and make sure that you have theme set right. You can also check the post_max_size in the latest version of the newsmag theme under system status section: http://screencast.com/t/iLAUrN5Vo
Make sure that you don’t have the uploads disabled in your php.ini file or that you don’t have post_max_size directive defined as smaller than upload_max_filesize in php.ini then try again.

You can leave them enabled and hide them using custom css then the popup will work and you will have just the sharing buttons on the page.
Use this custom css in theme panel > custom css section to hide the like/tweet buttons:

I see, unfortunately we haven’t taken any decision on this yet so I still can’t provide an accurate answer on this other than your request will be reviewed. We have over 200 feature request at the moment so we have to pick very carefully what we implement into the theme.
