Replace thumbnail with custom image placeholder - topic

I am trying to set that when there is no featured image, it should look for the first image in the article and post that. I tried a few approaches, but none seemed to work.
Am I able to use post_thumbnail_html with this theme?

For example, I tried this in functions.php

Our site oregoncrimenews.com has been operating with the NewsMag theme for about a month. Worked and looked great until about an hour ago. Now we are plagued with these errors on every page:

Yes but I thought that you were supposed to be taken to the Post Page selected as Primary and it does not. It takes you to the Posts secondary category page.
For example the post “Sessions says Mexicans will pay for the border wall ‘one way or another’ Primary category was set to be The Week but it lands in the second category page-Immigration-emigration.

You can add any custom link to the footer menu. You cna create a sign-up page and place it as a footer menu item.

Hi,

From what I understand you would like to make the Video News demo similar to the Black Version demo. You could use css along with theme options to style it to look like the black demo. This would require you to identify the elements on the page and set the background you want, like in this example for the homepage

You can use the browser inspector to identify these elements and include them in the code

But also you could just install the black demo which is already using a black accent and overall color, and just recreate the page structure form the other demo.

Maybe you can find a style that has the display that you want. Anything else would require custom modification to this element through Css or other means.
If you like to hide the post excerpt for the masonry grid element, you could use this code

Hi,

Unfortunately we will not be able to help with this as the theme does not manage the database or images. They are handled by wordpress. We have not tested migration from one platform to another so we cannot provide any insight in how exactly to go about it. You can use these few example son how to do it:

Hi,

You could modify an existing module using a child theme or make your modifications directly to the main file. The thumbnail sizes are defined in the theme here – https://www.screencast.com/t/jpQvJEG5 you could modify the one you want there, and then be sure to regenerate your thumbnails using this tool for example

You will have to use font awesome for menus and use the html implementation, not the css one. Our theme only works well with the html of font awesome. Here is an example: http://fontawesome.io/icon/snowflake-o/

Probably you will have to make additional implementation here – https://www.screencast.com/t/f6CIA7x8yf but I could not say what exactly has to be done, as we have not make any tests regarding this. The default blocks do not have the option to filter by taxonomy, only by custom post type. You could search the forum for more valuable information if you would like to try and achieve this, like this topic for example

Title not showing with Visual Composer - topic

Hi there,

It seems that there is a bug with Visual Composer and my theme.

When I set Visual Composer, the H1 meta disappears, I have to add in manually on the text. You can have a look on my index for example : emprunter-malin.com.

Have you seen this issue with the theme previously ?

For example for my news site there may be an event in the world that is the most important for 2 or 3 days and the post that I make on it I want it to stay at the top even after I add new posts.

With the display of the default share icons at the bottom of posts, I have a Facebook plugin I use for Facebook comments on posts but the share icons for posts at the bottom appears after the comments box, how can I make the botton share icons precede the Facebook comments box?

AMP Support for next update - reply

Simply use the Automattic AMP plugin as best solution; it’s built and maintained by the folks who make WordPress, and is being used by some of the top WP-powered sites in the world like TIME.com, etc.

See the docs for the Automattic plugin to manage ad placements, edit the custom templates, etc.

Best solutions as it’s “agnostic” to any specific theme, and things do change over time.

I suspect eventually it will be added to WP core, but AMP is still rolling out this yearfor most folk, even though it’s been in beta since end of 2015.

I don’t work here, but it’s highly unlikely custom AMP elements will be added to this, or most, themes, as the support level would be insurmountable from a cost-effective basis; meaning the team would need to spend more time helping people “fix” their sites for AMP, and the cost per site might be more in support time than cost of theme — since people need to learn to fix bad HTML, https conversion, specific ad support limitations, lack of support for certain javascript elements, poor plugin support, etc.

(I don’t work here. Using TagDiv themes for 3.5 years.)

I have install APM plugin on my website and traffic increase about 30% but bad news is affiliate sales decrease to about 20% .. i have checked users coming from search engines see different kind of design … it will nice if there is official support for AMP in theme.

How to change color of window from URL in a post - topic

When I paste an URL in a post it is shown in white.
