Thanks for your reply.
We have modified functions.php & style sheet of the child theme(folder) in version 6.7 and added some new files in the child theme. So is it okay to take the backup of modified files(functions.php & style sheet) and newly created files and update the theme to the new version and again add the customisation of functions.php & style sheet of the child theme(folder) and add newly created files? If we do like this will our site work as is or any issues arise?

It affects all screens as there is no media query. You can use media queries if you want to affect only some specific screens, here is an example:

Great, thanks for your time with that info. The files that are actually modified is really key for me.

I actually updated without realising that it would revert all my changes as I have made a lot of modifications. So I am going through changing everything all over again (but faster to do this time). Lots of things are broken on my site as a result of the patch, including the log in process for example.

However, my site is not live yet (i have a deadline for this weekend) as I have been working on it for the past couple of week. I estimate that by updating my theme with this patch, I have added about 4-6 hours of work to reconfigure my own changes, as I didn’t note down what I did previously. This is a good learning experience for me for updating the theme in the future when the site is live.

Thank you for your reply I have got most of it done but there is a string of js I can’t find that keeps appending 80px to the menu…. Here is the result I have got so far https://www.wpmultiverse.com/… However on touch devices, for example, an iPad, when I scroll down and then scroll back up it, displays the default 80px height.

I do not want to update the “newsmag” Core. Because, My current version is Good for Bounce Rate. I updated to latest version, I noticed Bounce rate is high 50%+. Normal Bounce rate is Max 4% for last 2 years. Then I downgrade the “newsmag” & its again upto 4%.

That may not make sense, but its true for me. This maybe coincidence.

So I just want to update the Virtual Composer. Is there any problem ?

Thanks for your suggestion. I’ve added them on or todo list and developers will consider them for future updates.

With regard at the second suggestion, you can target a specific post in theme panel > custom code > custom css by using postid-abc class. Each post have a unique class which contains its id, for example postid-11
A css which will target the post with id 11 will look like this:

.postid-11 .td-container{
background-color: red;
}

The method provided by Lucian worked fine at that time and it also should work now as the code wasn’t changed. I can’t say for sure why the code is not working on your side as the AMP plugin was not tested to work with Newsmag theme and it may be required an additional code.
If you still can’t mange to solve this and you really want to use this plugin my advice is to look for someone who can help you with you with plugin implementation as we can’t offer customization services at the moment.
