Hi,
It seems you want the introduction and conclusion outside the smart list itself. Then the way to go is use another H tag than the smart list uses. For example the default heading tag for smart lists is h3, so you can use a h2 tag for the introduction and for the conclusion titles so the smart list does not pick them up: http://screencast.com/t/B5LQjNtT0
Hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hello newtag,
1)In a future update, it is possible but we cannot say for sure if it will get done in the next update because we have a big list of fixes, improvements, and suggestions to implement. It’s hard to filter them and select which one gets implemented now and which one gets postponed. The developers decide if it gets done or not, though. Until we can do it, you can use a plugin.
2)You can try to check in our forum by the infinite scroll and will find some threads with this subject discussed. As example, you can check this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/implement-infinite-scroll-on-single-posts/
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi
All theme’s blocks are based on a fixed layout and changing the rows margins/paddings will affect bloc’s display on page. Here is an example: http://screencast.com/t/8VybHiDygd – http://screencast.com/t/aPcZomPxDay
To change the thumb size used by big grid 2 are required some customizations in theme’s core files. First you need to define a new thumb size in td_config.php file: http://screencast.com/t/KJ4X4c28Qbr You can use theme API for that: https://forum.tagdiv.com/td_api_thumbadd/
Next step is to edit td_module_mx7.php and change the actual size from get_image function with your custom size: http://screencast.com/t/JPdmmbRk5r7I
Note that this is a complex task which require many customizations and good coding skills in order to be achieved. If you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer to do this for you as we can’t offer customizations services at the moment.
Thanks!
Hi,
You have to make an assessment o the size of every image and container you use on your site. The theme does crop images and create thumbnails, but it cannot enlarge images. For example, in your big grid on the homepage, the big container has dimensions of: http://screencast.com/t/6vmVnKein5 but your image is not big enough to fill it: http://screencast.com/t/UA2GuiIpTmL
Please make sure you have all thumbnails that you use active in the theme panel -> block settings -> thumbnails section
Regarding the cropping system please read these topics:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-vs-featured-image-size/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image/
Hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hi, I have a problem with block 13 at the first page. The white element under the post topic had disappeared(Problem with Chrome&Safari). So the featured photo can be seen a bit. I don’t know how attached screenshot in this forum.
Can you check my website below,
http://inubon.com/
The problem is the article of a gift shop.(The same line as Facebook like box)
Thank you in advance.(Sorry for my English)
Hi all,
If anyone is interested I managed to get round the H1, H2 on the homepage and category archives issue quite quickly and with a relatively simple solution.
Homepage:
Modify td_block_template_1.php file found in includes folder.
Modify h4 in this code:
$buffy .= ‘<h4 class=”block-title”>’;
if (!empty($custom_url)) {
$buffy .= ‘‘ . esc_html($custom_title) . ‘‘;
} else {
$buffy .= ‘<span>’ . esc_html($custom_title) . ‘</span>’;
}
$buffy .= ‘</h4>’;
To read ‘h2’
This changed the block titles on the homepage from h4 to h2
Category Archives:
Download and install CategoryTinymce plugin via your WordPress install.
Then edit your categories which will now have a fully functional editor similar to creating a post article.
You can then add all the h2 headings, images and customisations you want.
Note: Outcome will be determined by which category template you are using within the theme.
Look at this site to see:
Homepage Example: https://godhelpusall.com
Category Example: Finance News
Hope this helps a little.

Hi team,
Its been a while that I am using newspaper theme and loving it. Its amazing.
However, today I ran into a problem. I am using custom menu wizard plugin to make menus in sidebar.
When I created a new sidebar from within the page and then tried to access widgets.php page to populate the custom sidebar it threw 404 error. I am using custom menu wizard plugin and this theme for many months now and it only happened today. Interestingly enough is that I made couple of new sidebars before this error and everything was working smoothly.
When I disable the custom menu wizard plugin I can access widgets.php page as normal. Though it is a possibility that its something with the plugin but I am writing to you guys also because it happened only after I made a new sidebar.
Currently I have the plugin active but widget is not showing up on pages. For example have a look at this link: http://pakaccountants.com/courses/financialaccounting/ the widget is supposed to show up in the middle of two ads on the right.
Looking forward to the response to get it sorted.
Regards,
– Hasaan
Hi guys,
I don’t understand how or why this is happening, but when I select the option in your theme panel to display the date in my top menu, it displays a date that is days (sometimes weeks) older than the current date. This happens across browsers & across devices. I’ll hit refresh multiple times and every once in a while it’ll show correctly but 99% of the time the date is embarrassingly old. And related to this I believe is the reason why posts that I’ve published in recent days may not show up because the theme seems to think that the current date is the old one and so any posts after it aren’t being recognized.
As a result, I’ve had to turn it off but really would love to solve this with your help.
Thank you!
Hello Tagdiv,
I know very much that you are working on Newspaper theme for providing more features, as for last two months I’m looking for an update related to AMP.
I heard that Google is now giving more weightage for websites having AMP pages, so if you can provide AMP on next updates it will be much welcome and more helpful for those who are looking for it like me. If Newspaper supports AMP, it will be the first theme in Theme forest who supports AMP and with great number of downloads.
If AMP is already supported in Newspaper please let me know and what all changes to be implemented on it.
Thanks!

Hello Bogdan,
Thanks for your quick reply.
I had already tried to disable plugins and clear the cache, but it did not work.
I used the debug console chorme, and discovered the error reported below.
Can you help me find what is causing the problem? I appreciate greatly!

Hi — We are having an issue with the default / auto-generated category pages (category.php, I believe), where the first 10 posts appear just fine, but then after that the site loops those same 10 posts, as opposed to publishing the rest in the category.
So, only the first 10 posts of each category are showing (then repeating), and none of the older posts in that category are appearing.
Our staging site is: http://littledigitalco.biz/publiceye
As an example, you can see this category page: http://littledigitalco.biz/publiceye/category/topics/criminal-justice/
Or this category page: http://littledigitalco.biz/publiceye/category/featured-investigations/child-fatalities/
After the first 10, they just repeat — but they should be showing the rest of the posts that are published under that category.
Thanks!
Abi
Questions #6 & #7
and this one you left unanswered:
+ customizing the top featured posts
I tried different grids, but those preset one’s doesnt really fit me
I really like the initial 6 blocks, but 6 is actually too much
What should I specify in custom row setting so I have only 3 on top with a main large one on the left and two smaller one’s on top of each other on the right? (see screenshot)
Hello srampia,
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend plugins in this regard because we have not tested them and we cannot say for sure that will work as properly with our theme. Please try to find yourself these types of plugins and see how it works for you – http://screencast.com/t/3EDnrphGV
Thank you for your understanding!

Thanks for the reply Andrei.
Here’s the thing – I don’t want to change the code. I want the specified thumb to pull up in each block when needed. I have all these sizes specified and tweaked to look right, but it’s not calling them up when needed.
For example: Here’s the edited thumbnails I have in my media file. All of them set to the specific size and needed to fit into the template as is.
However, when viewing the site, these same thumbnails or edited images are not being called up. Here’s an example of my footer that requires a 100X75 and should pull up td_100x75. Clearly it is not pulling the right thumbnail.
Hi,
Categories in the TagDiv theme can achieve at least two goals:
1. an optimal break down of the content by topics
2. optimal views on the site of the content
In order to reach the second goal, we need categories tags not to be shown on the homepage of the site and in the different segments of the site in the categories tags.
The case in point, I need on my site to have two categories named Articles and Events. What I want to see on the homepage is the topic of the articles or the events. E.g. Movies, Your money, Personal coach etc, and not Articles or Events as it is the case now.
You can see here the example:
http://www.screencast.com/users/mihaelamatei/folders/Default/media/59db620a-c157-48d5-b0e4-761f7fefd46e
I found in the theme:
1. that you can choose categories tags not to be shown at all on some modules. However categories tags are very helpful for the user, so I don’t want to use this radical solution http://screencast.com/t/bBwEhEg1I
2. that you can hide category tag on posts and on category pages. But what would be really helpful for the site owner would be the functionality described above: to hide some categories tags from the homepage and section pages.
http://www.screencast.com/users/mihaelamatei/folders/Default/media/3000f461-beaa-4454-a2a8-176a74f40f24
Could you tell me how I can access this functionality in the theme?
Thank you!!
Regards,
Mihaela
Hello nomadhermit,
If you want to add the widget to the bottom of individual posts, you have to use the Widgetised Sidebar and place it with do_shortcode method where you want in the posts. First of all, you have to create the code with the desired widget from your Visual Composer editor, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/maoAeYKaIFo -> http://screencast.com/t/pXvfBOVQgU (example for td_demo_category_widget) and then, this snippet of the code <?php echo do_shortcode('[vc_widget_sidebar sidebar_id="td-td_demo_category"]'); ?> you have to place in the post template used by you in the bottom of the page, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/kXiU748n (this is just an example for post template 1). Also, please notice that you can set your widgets from Widgets area section, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/LoSeuujRP0
Hope this helps!
Thanks.
Hi,
That is a wordpress setting, not the theme’s. Our theme does not alter the media upload.
You can find online resources on this subject like for example: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-set-default-image-size
Thank you!
Hi
6,7. Please provide your site url so I can inspect this closer and get back to you with a more accurate answer.
9. You can use one of theme’s ad-spots to display the ad on top of the page. First insert the html ad’s code in one of custom ad-spots from theme panel > ads then use do_shortcode() function to display a banner ad on top of the page. Just edit the file corresponding with the header style used and add this code like here: http://screencast.com/t/itasx4W4T – http://screencast.com/t/FSgnXBREg3
<?php echo do_shortcode('[td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_1"]'); ?>
I’ve used custom ad 1 for this example but you can use any custom ad, just adapt the shortcode. For example if you use custom ad 5 the shortcode will be: td_block_ad_box spot_id=”custom_ad_5″
To insert the banner ad below big grid you can use the ad-box block from visual composer like here: http://screencast.com/t/trJzEe9Ufr – http://screencast.com/t/veASTnq2d
Thanks!
Hello srampia,
If you want to get rid the border-bottom for each block title, you have to use a bit of CSS code. Please try the code below and lace it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.
The code is ->
.block-title {
border-bottom: 0;
}
If is not what you mean, please provide more details about your desired changes so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thanks.
Hi
We would like to thank you for your kind feedback. We do our best to offer high quality themes and also we focus on helping our clients understanding how they works.
All theme’s blocks where designed to use specific thumbs depending by each module’s layout. Our blocks are build from one or more modules. For example block 1 use for first post module 4 and for others posts module 6. Each module have its specific thumb which it’s used when that module it’s displayed on the page. For example module 4 use a thumb by 300x194px: http://screencast.com/t/bnUKk2wKzQk
To change the thumb size for one module it’s required a bit of coding and this are the steps that must be taken:
– define a new thumb size in td_config.php file: http://screencast.com/t/zwQLzpY7QF You can use theme api for that: https://forum.tagdiv.com/td_api_thumbadd/
– edit the file corresponding for the module which you want to modify and change the current thumb size with your custom size: http://screencast.com/t/bnUKk2wKzQk
You will have to be careful at module’s layout after applying this changes because it’s possible to be needed some adjustments in it.
Please consider that this is a complex task which requires lots of customiations and good coding skills in order to be achieved. We can’t offer customization services at the moment so if you still need guidance on this or you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you.
Thanks!
Hello danimian,
As I explained you above, this is not a simple task that involves custom work. Below I gave you an example on how could you change the size of the Slider but please notice that you need some additional customizations in order to achieve best results, it is just a hint.
The code is ->
.td_module_slide {
width:580px!important;
height: 580px!important;
}
.td-theme-slider {
width:580px!important;
}
If you want to change the size of the Slider for each device, you have to use @media queries and set the size of the code for each one. For more information about this attribute, please consult here -> http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/css3_pr_mediaquery.asp As a hint, after you finished your changes you should use the Thumbnails Regeneration to regenerate your thumbnails.
If you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry!
Thank you for the message!
