I am using Newspaper theme. I have never used mobile phone version of this theme and AMP. My organic traffic and ad income have been falling for the last 2-3 years. Now I want to use both mobile phone version as well as AMP. Maybe this will help me increase organic traffic & ad income.
Before I do this, I want to learn the advantages and disadvantages and the steps involved in setting up mobile phone version of the theme and AMP.
Please advise and also share the related articles & posts in this regard. Thanks & Regards…..
Thank you for your response.
How will disabling AMP affect the performance and appearance of my site on mobile devices?
Hi Anamaria,
How can I show this updated date info on AMP, I can see updated date on mobile theme but it is not showing on AMP.
Thanks,
The reason I ask is that the blanket CSS workaround causes issues in other areas. For instance, if we use a rich layout ‘media and text’ block, the image has a forced 21px bottom border, making the background colour visible. Here is an example.
Hello @edward1972 !
This template is using the cloud templates, so you have access to the new features from our theme. Check what’s new in every update: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper/?utm_source=forum&utm_medium=menu&utm_campaign=forum_loggedin&utm_content=91053
Please let me know about your issues (screenshots/video), so I can try to help you.
Thank you!
Hello,
Seems you have the mobile theme and AMP are still activated on the website. Please deactivate those plugins and purge the cache a few times.
Usually, this problem is caused by the cache plugin, which doesn’t have the option for the mobile version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Please disable the redirect from the mobile version to amp -> https://i.imgur.com/7Z7V82x.png using that option your visitors will never see the responsive version, only the amp version.
The AMP works better only with the Mobile Theme plugin. From my point of view, if you don’t use the Mobile Theme plugin, then there is no reason or benefit to AMP. Please read all about AMP here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/
It comes with its own templates/design for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Documentation here:
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/
Please read all about AMP here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/
Note that you can not customize AMP so much, because it comes with its own design.
There are some settings in the Theme panel -> Mobile Theme and Dashboard -> AMP only.
You can not add a shortcode as in the TagDiv Composer. Please note that you can’t customize the AMP pages with the TagDiv Composer.
Make sure the redirect mobile visitors to amp option is disabled.
Please check this topic where I explained each mobile version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-version-not-working-properly-2/
Thank you!
Hi,
Unfortunately, this situation can be resolved only if the amp plugin is disabled, then all the views from mobile and desktop will continue counting.
Thank you!
Hi,

I am using Big Grid Flex 2 for the banner in https://soikottampa.ucs.in
There are 5 images and title I am displaying from event_listing post type. This post type is created by wp-event manager plugin.
I would like to pull data like “start-date”, “location” also along with the title in the Big Grid Flex 2. How can I do the same? Please advise. I will also send you email at contact@tagdiv.com
I have been sending the email but have not received any reply from you.
Thanks
Hi!
I am having this issue and not sure if I am doing something wrong or it is by design –
Using CPT UI I have created custom post type for listings and created frontend submission form for it.
One of frontend submission steps is to enter Adress using Location Form Finder (tagdiv composer). To store city and country data I have created custom taxonomy and assigned it to Location Form Finder.
Terms are being populated in taxonomy as users are adding posts, but, for example, if there is two submissions which are in the same City or State – those terms are added duplicate times with same title, but different slug.
This doesn’t affect Country field tho – seems like if term already exist, it adds posts to existing term.
Please assist,
I am using the advanced ads plugin and I want to display 3 different ad tags but it is not showing all 3 different after every 6 posts. And if it is showing for example after 6 posts 2 ads display without a gap then after 18 posts 1 ad displays. After 12 posts nothing is showing
Thank you for the investigation.
This is a recent problem. It has not manifested previously.
Is there any way to fix this without disabling AMP?
I know that TagDiv recommends AMP. What happens if I turn it off?
Hi,
It looks like something is interfering with the theme style. The one that is not correct looks more like an amp version. Can you please check if this is not a plugin conflict? Please do a test using only tagDiv plugins and see if the results are the same, also please clear all cache you have.
Thank you!
I see that the counter is correctly counting each refresh/open of the post -> https://i.imgur.com/DLpsYBp.png – https://i.imgur.com/Hx0xmmd.png I believe the problem is coming from amp https://i.imgur.com/4WIogjy.png normally the theme counter is not counting when the amp is enabled https://i.imgur.com/4WIogjy.png and I believe that most of the visitors are mobile users. I think that there is that difference.
Hello @kelvin!
I’ve checked in mobile and desktop view, and the images are displaying normally.
Please provide an example so that I can investigate the problem.
Thank you!
Hello @shivangtomar!
On every post made with the TagDiv Composer, you used that single template. You need to assign that template to other posts in order to have the same layout/design.
The page from your example (Short Code) is a page, not a post, so you cannot assign that single template. Because this page was not created with Composer, you cannot edit it with TagDiv Composer and eventually paste the sidebar created in your single template.
A workaround there could be to create this page with the TagDiv Composer and then you can create that sidebar. Otherwise you can not display that sidebar on a default page.
Thank you!
Hi,
The Posts Loops settings are divided into 5 tabs: General, Layout, Style, ADS and CSS. The Posts loop is a special block and doesn’t have filtering options.
Also, one of the options for pagination of the Posts Loop has the option for normal numbered and the flex blocks do not have this option.
The Posts Loop is automatically filtering the posts depending on the cloud template you set (for example on the category page there will be posted posts from that category).
Thank you!
Hello,
In the article pages, when I scroll down, the right pane (where usually ads and related content is hosted) rightly stops at the end of the last element
But if the user scrolls up, the top advert will be partly hidden (I think by about the height of the sticky menu)
How can we compensate for this so that we do not get complaints from the advertisers?
Hi Anamaria,
Here is one example. Third image down, no space between image and text starting “Plumbed with a 320W TGP…”
Here it is in the editor.
This happens on every inserted image or gallery, though manually adding a caption circumvents the issue.

Hello, I need help.
Why doesn’t the link work when I click with the left side of the mouse?
It is a link within the article.
See an example at the link:

Hello,
After updating the version of my Newspaper template I can’t see a lot of news where I used the default post templates in the news editor.
This is harming my SEO, could you help me solve this problem? I have a lot of posts that are not visible.
You can see several post examples here:

Hello @jtoney!
Please provide more information (screenshots or videos) about what exactly you need to achieve or what the issue is. Unfortunately, we do not have any videos that show how we’ve made a CPT demo, for example, if this is what you meant. But we have guides for every new feature we’ve introduced in the update.
Thank you!
Hi zenka,
Unfortunately, our theme set the important element when the font is set on elements. For example if the font is set on default, then there should be no important, but if there is a font set, then that element will be applied. What I mean is that the important is set using js for the elements where is used a different font size than the default one. Also, most of the CSS from our theme is generated by the js.
My suggestion is if you are using a single post template to edit it with tagDiv Composer and remove the font from post content like this -> https://i.imgur.com/Une7inC.png
Thank you!
