Hello miss-nanny,

Please notice that if you want to use Ads for AMP version, all of these must be AMP compatible. Please access your Adsense account and create amp compatible ads for the amp version of your site: https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/7183212?hl=en -> https://www.ampproject.org/docs/reference/components/amp-ad

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Thank you!

Hello robertkettlewell,

For example, I have made some tests in your website and the font-weight seems to be the same for both cases (desktop and mobile devices – 900 px for h3) as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/gZQzCJsFm Where is the problem? Please provide some useful screenshots with the problem so I can be able to provide a more accurate response.

Thanks for your understanding!

Any idea what might be causing this?

I updated the theme from 4.4 to 4.5 using FTP. Disabled the AMP and deleted the plugin. Then installed plugin thinking it might be new. (it was actually the same 1.2 version). Tried activating it and get this error… Retried various ways but still getting the same error.

PLUGINS DISABLED AUTOMATICALLY
The following plugins were disabled because they are incompatible with this version of Newsmag:

Hello,

I would like to ask, if multipurpose shortcodes only available in the TD Composer of the Newspaper theme (for example Hero, Numbered Counter, Pricing Table etc.) or also in the Newsmag?

Thank you,

Yes I saw the Tutorial and I think that does not exist anymore. All I see in my Adsense account is the following:

Copy and paste this in HEAD:

<script async custom-element="amp-auto-ads"
src="https://cdn.ampproject.org/v0/amp-auto-ads-0.1.js">
</script>

Copy and paste this in body:

<amp-auto-ads type="adsense"
data-ad-client="ca-pub-XXXXXXXXXXXX">
</amp-auto-ads>

Hi,

You could go by code like in this topic maybe – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/add-a-custom-row-like-via-or-source-name-in-posts/

PHP codes like the one you mention have to be entered in the post template files, in order to be displayed in the posts that use those templates
https://www.screencast.com/t/5qQCPBIUJE
Each post template has a corresponding loop file, try to add that code in a post template.

This is a related topic where some examples are mentioned
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/custom-fields-howto-any-help/

Thanks

Hi,

It would be possible with a cloud post template
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

For example you can create/import a post template and set it only for the post you want. When using cloud post templates the ads can be entered in the template directly
https://www.screencast.com/t/n26dDVuMCwZ0
So maybe create a special template with specific ads and select it only for the posts you want.

Thanks

Hi,

That would mean the theme is already in the WordPress themes folder. Would be best to use FTP to see what exactly is in that folder. Follow the guide provided by Edward.

There are more guides online regarding using FTP, for example
https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-use-ftp-to-upload-files-to-wordpress-for-beginners/

Hi,

I checked a few of the flex modules in your website, seems that indeed the full images or some unusual sizes are used instead of selected thumbnails. For example this module
https://www.screencast.com/t/lyt91bTX6z2
It uses a thumbnail size it seems of 1395x741px – https://www.thecarexpert.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/car-finance-voluntary-termination-pcp-hp-agreement-e1476792854766-1392×741.jpg
That is not a theme created thumbnail and also not the full size of the image, quite unusual. The same image seems to have a 696px size created which should be used if selected
https://www.thecarexpert.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/car-finance-voluntary-termination-pcp-hp-agreement-e1476792854766-696×370.jpg

I made few tests, selecting different sizes for the image in the block
https://www.screencast.com/t/ixvHrwCHL
https://www.screencast.com/t/GiFKbq3bu
They are loading correctly from what I can see. The sizes you select should be used. The smallest at the moment is the 324x400px size.

Do you maybe use any image optimization plugins or image delivery services? Worth testing without them if you do. Or investigate all plugins at once. Deactivate them all as a quick test (except theme plugins), check if this has any effect.
Also create a new test page and use a flex block, select the image size, see if the same thing happens there. Let me know what you find.

Thanks

Hi,

You could add more ads in the post content maybe. They should be of this form in case of Adsense for example
https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/7183212?hl=en

The AMP post template file is here – https://www.screencast.com/t/OeZusEakqiy
Make a backup of the file if you want to make modifications to it.

Thanks

Hi there,

I’d like to change the <!–nextpage–> location. Now it’s at the bottom of the post, right after bottom ads, and I’d like to locate it ABOVE bottom ads. Could you help me?

Example: https://www.elquintobeatle.com/2018/09/24/cronica-getmad-festival-2018/

Most problems come when I use the default post template (in most cases default) when I let everything the same and use post template 5 everything is working perfect like you can see here: https://www.travelgourmets.com/die-gesetze-der-gewinner-bodo-schaefer-buch/amp/

Hi haendler55,

You can use a validator for amp https://validator.ampproject.org/ , it look like you have a lot of issues there, If you like you can try again to deactivate all plugins and try to remove ( but first save ) all custom javascript ( also you can check to be correctly write and in the right place ). after that save it and see how it look your amp post.

Thank you.

Hi,

Seems both those links provide 500 errors at the moment
https://www.screencast.com/t/PRZpzLDHAv9

Elements added by plugins in the post page or post content may not work properly with AMP, also maybe interfere with AMP validation for the posts. Test one of your posts with this tool to see what it reports

Hello tanose,

Please notice that the speed of your website depends on how well your site is optimized.
-> https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?hl=ro&url=https%3A%2F%2Finsanertech.com%2F&tab=mobile

Notice that is not a simple task and if you do not have any experience in this regard you will do not bring good results for the theme. Also, notice that we have a speed optimization tutorial but this is addressed only to advanced users. So, if you follow the steps which are presented in this tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ you can increase the page speed loading and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because the speed optimization services are not covered by our support policy, as you can read here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/support-policy-2/ Check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ regarding on dedicated server to fit our requirements.

Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to minify the style.css file and we cannot recommend any plugins with this functionality because is not tested with our theme. For minifying this file, we are using CloudFlare for our demo and works fine. If you want to read other views from our users, please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tip-how-to-easily-minify-your-css-without-breaking-your-site/
Also, check all of your Ad Spots and if you have entered any suspicious code through them, remove all of them and check the results without them.

One of our top members here on the forum wrote his own optimization tutorial here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/ and here -> https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/

Basically, these are the theme requirements
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/

Another useful gui for increasing the page speed can be found here -> https://kinsta.com/blog/google-pagespeed-insights/

https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
See an example https://www.screencast.com/t/iF3Qu4bqItWE

Also you can use cloud templates , read more about here https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

If you get stuck somewhere please lets us know.

Thank you.

Hello Dixon,

I have inspected your website and I saw that you have added a custom code for all devices which break the theme functionality. -> https://www.screencast.com/t/huSL6XeUpMy If you want to add that code only for the desktop, for example, you should insert that code in Advanced Custom CSS box from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ckDeAYBXYnR

Hope this helps!

Thanks.

Hello jalmz,

Did you maybe add any code in the theme files or theme panel, or maybe by a child theme? Or maybe modified the AMP plugin? Temporarily remove them if you did and test again. Between your errors, I saw something like this regarding AMP Ads. Please notice that your AMP Ads must be amp compatible. Please access your Adsense account and create amp compatible ads for the amp version of your site: https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/7183212?hl=en -> https://www.ampproject.org/docs/reference/components/amp-ad

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Thank you!

If the pages are built with the tagDiv composer or contain tagDiv composer shortcodes, or you used the cloud library plugin to create templates, then you should not deactivate the plugin. This will lead to problems, also code will be displayed in your pages.

Why did you deactivate the tagDiv composer exactly? We recommend this page builder to be used with the theme, more new features will be added for it specifically in future theme updates.

Maybe that code is causing the problem you mention with AMP. Deactivate the plugin and delete it, then install it again from the theme plugins panel
https://www.screencast.com/t/yyBKu6ciu
This will remove any code you might have entered in it’s files. You could also check the theme panel AMP ad code and analytics sections, you might have entered invalid codes there

Hello thelegendarycoder,

1)If you want to achieve something like this, you should inspect this section and add a padding-bottom to your element like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/HRicaiIZ As an example, you can use the code below if you are using the block 3.

The code is here ->

.td-newsmag-cars .td-subheader .td_block_3 {
padding-bottom: 30px;
}

2)If you want to reduce that grid line, you should make it invisible from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/WvePoPG4tIA

3)Unfortunately, the theme has not been designed that the excerpts to be clickable, sorry! If you want to add this functionality, you should edit theme the core file and customize it yourself through the code.

4)Unfortunately, the theme has not been designed to have a full-width layout, sorry! Also, if you want to get rid of it the boxed layout, you should simply remove the background image and then, the site will be automatically switched to the normal layout. If you want to give a full design to your website, you can try using the full-width Big Grid from here -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-1/

Thanks for your understanding!
