I created both the smaller logo and the retina logo per the sizes stated in the documentation. However, neither logo is showing up when I try to change them. I did everything by the instructions and still am having a problem. I was sailing along fairly well and then hit this little snag. Any ideas? I’m used to working with WP-Bakery and this page builder is a little different. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
I am using the Newsweek template.

Your solution is only interesting for people who create a website and who start from 0.
Using a cloud template to modify my posts with TagDiv Composer is a huge waste of time for me as I have to create several of them because I have more than 1000 very different articles that I will have to check one by one.
Why not be able to modify the posts directly with TagDiv Composer without creating a cloud template (like the pages)…
It’s good to think about your future users (customers), but it’s a shame you don’t think about those who have trusted you and who use your theme for years.
On the other hand, I also waste a lot more time editing my pages (more than 400) with TagDiv Composer. It was much faster with WP Bakery Visual Composer. Too bad for me, that it is not compatible with your theme anymore.
Once again, you have thought about your users…

After having learned that I could not use WP Bakery Visual Composer anymore (I learned it on your forum because I did not have access to it anymore) but TagDiv Composer, I notice today that I cannot use TagDiv Composer on posts but only on pages…
Thank you for confirming that I cannot use TAgDiv Composer on posts and in this case, what do you have planned for your users (are you thinking of your users?) who, like me, have more than 1000 articles and who have used WP Bakery Visual Composer to create them.

Normally on post, the views should be displayed using an icon – https://i.imgur.com/g6R63Ax.png
The WPBakery Page Builder plugin is and Bundled Plugin in our theme, not a standalone plugin, please check the envato documentation for those plugins
https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/213762463-Bundled-Plugins, therefore, using a different version then the one provided by us is possible to not work.
Normally it should work with WP-PostViews plugin, I hope that there have not been updates that change the mode of how it worked before.

I can’t change “views” text to my language. I’ve already change it on Theme panel > Translations but keep seeing it as “views” in the post content. Plus, I keep getting notify WPBakery plugin to update but I can’t update it and asking activation?? And is theme compatible with WP-PostViews plugin?
In our case, we do not use WP Bakery and the error continues.

We are experiencing the same issue on just the home page of https://milwaukeemom.com. We have multiple sites with the same configuration, page builder (WP Bakery), and plugins, that are not experiencing this.
Finally after many years we have a Tab widget. I used to use the WPBakery but now switched all pages to tdcomposer.
Why do we have to create new pages just to use the tabs? Please add a normal tappwidget with a Text Editor for each tab.
I know with pages it gets more powerful but its overkill to create pages just to for simple tabs. Please add a simple tab and also an accordion widget. Can’t believe that’s still missing for all these years.

Please note that we don’t recommend you use WP Bakery anymore since there can be conflicts between TagDiv Composer and WP Bakery; also WP Bakery can’t edit the tagDiv Composer templates. You can use the cloud library and directly import a homepage template if you want: https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/
All the Cloud library templates are fully editable using tagDiv Composer.

If you want to update the theme, you should download the latest version of it from Theme Forest account and download it.

Here you can find information about the changes that have occurred in each update over time https://tagdiv.com/newspaper/
I recommend that you update the theme manually https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ via FTP/cPanel/File Manager, also if possible disable extra plugins during the theme update to avoid any problems that may arise and make sure that you have activated the tagDiv Standard pack plugin to keep the website’s look. You can try to update the theme on a staging website.
After you update the theme, you need to update the theme plugins too.
In the worst cases, the settings in the theme panel may be lost (there have been isolated cases), in these cases, after the theme plugins that were previously used are activated, you will have to use a backup for the theme panel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/

Your help on the new TagDiv builder has a link to a guide for transitioning away from WP Bakery visual designer, but the link doesn’t work. I updated our theme, but if I turn off WP Bakery some pages crash and if I leave it on, your designer doesn’t work right… Thanks! Jason

Thanks for the link, I read the thread. Though it doesn’t really answer my question on whether or not you plan on updating WP Bakery or whether your effors going forward will be exclusively focussed on TagDiv Composer.
Since WP Bakery wasn’t updated for over a year, it seems fair to assume that you will not be updating it any longer, and that I have no choice but to update to the TagDiv Composer since if I leave WP Bakery unupdated, it may become vunerable, and if I get a licence, it may become incompatible with Newspaper.
Could you please advise on how we can make this transition as smooth as possible? As the documentation on migrating gives a 404.

My client’s site uses the WP Bakery plugin rather that the tagDiv composer. My understanding was that with Newspaper updates, new versions of WP Bakery would be included. But after the most recent update, I checked the WP Bakery version and it is 6.6, released early last year. I also couldn’t locate a copy of the plugin in the plugins folder of a recent Themeforest download.
Please could you clarify whether you have indeed discontinued updating this plugin. If you have, then I could consider getting a licence for WP Bakery, however I am concerned that you may no longer be developing the theme with WP Bakery in mind, but rather focussing on the tagDiv Composer.
I also wanted to read your documentation about moving from WP Bakery to tagDiv but it gives a 404: https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/.

Normally that is an WordPress file -> wp-includes/js/imagesloaded.min.js also a similar file can be found in the WP Bakery plugin -> wp-content/plugins/js_composer/assets/lib/bower/imagesloaded/imagesloaded.pkgd.min.js
The newspaper theme and theme plugins do not have that file.

Here’s a link to screenshots that I took today of the issues. The pages were built with WP Bakery. Somehow, before I took over the website maintenance, tagDiv also has been activated and certain things can be edited with WP Bakery and some with tagDiv and neither allows for visual editing anymore. The one where the page appears blank is where if you highlight the box it will show short code in white but it’s locked against editing and it’s in visual editor which shouldn’t be happening. I’d be happy to create a username for you so you can view the issues first-hand.
Refer to title. This is third place I’ve been referred to. Someone suggested that it may have been WPBakery that is causing the issue, but it is deactived and not in use. Only composer plugin I could find was tagDiv Composer plugin that I use for the Newspaper. Can anyone help out on this issue?

When using WP Bakery, it is not showing correctly in the Newspaper theme.
I changed over to the Twenty Twenty Two theme and it shows correctly
