Hi,
Thank you for your kind words!

1. This is because you are using a footer template from tagDiv Cloud Library, this can be edited only from frontend with tagDiv Composer.

2. That is a plugin conflict and appear only when you have enable WP Bakery plugin and you are using cloud templates from tagDiv Cloud Library or a pro demo, these can be edited only with tagDiv Composer.

Thank you!

Hi,
Using the mobile theme plugin, you’ll gain a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders or shortcodes ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in mobile editor -> https://i.imgur.com/ho41rUl.png and this content will be display on mobile theme, also the mobile theme will not display any sidebar)
-> https://i.imgur.com/9d0UWLT.png

Also you can show the responsive version on mobile theme (to get the same layout as on desktop on mobile) -> https://i.imgur.com/m0bVB5T.png you can check more details about mobile theme in our documentation -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ or if you want to have the responsive version only, you can use the amp option from mobile theme -> https://i.imgur.com/oofST3D.png (to use the mobile theme template on amp) or you can disable the plugin.
These options are like this:
Mobile -> the mobile theme will apply only on mobile version.
Mobile + amp -> it will apply on both and it will have the same layout.
Amp -> the mobile theme plugin layout will be use only for amp version.
Thank you!

Hi asce_admin,
I think that the column text element is not displaying because of some plugins, is possible to be WP Bakery, please check the plugins that you have installed and if this is one of them, disable it and try again.
Also the column text and Text with Title are similar elements.
Let me know the results!
Thank you!

Hi,

1. This is because you are using the mobile theme plugin, this has a standard footer, therefore it can be edited using the options from theme panel > mobile theme -> https://i.imgur.com/jkDe23s.png

So the link you provided has a link to a second article, moving away from wpbakery. https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/

I deactivated and deleted the wpbakery and going to use the tagdiv composer option.

Hello !

Unfortunately WP Bakery will not automatically update with the other tagDiv Plugins. You have to do that manually as you can see here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/

Thank you !

Newspaper > Updates

It updated Newspaper to 10.3.7. It updated the tagdiv plugins. It was an interesting updating. It feels so much nicer than having to download a .zip file, unzip it then FTP upload the files.

However the WPBakery plugin was not updated, as it was supposed to do according to a reply on a previous post reply. However WPBakery did not get updated.

This is the first time I do any update without the “traditional” way to get an update (the whole .zip thing above).

The WPBakery is a builder that we provide for users that do not want to use our theme builder (TD Composer) and cloud templates. Now the flex elements are from tagDiv Composer and that is way you can not use the WPBakery for Big Flex Grid Layout.

If I understand correctly you want to use the child theme, if is so then you need to know that you can use only the standard templates for this, you can check more in our guide from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
Thank you!

Hi! I think it is the WPBakery plugin. May I know how why wpbakery doesn’t support Big Flex Grid Layout? I can’t find that element on it.

Apart from that, I copied header.php and footer.php from the parent theme and added my code but it doesn’t seem to be showing.

Hi,

1.Please try this custom css ->https://i.imgur.com/Syl71Bw.png
.td-header-wrap .td-header-menu-wrap .sf-menu > li > a {
color: #14a96d;
}

Set the code in theme panel> custom code> custom css.

2. You need to edit that section using tagDiv Composer and add some more element there under Prepare To Be Inspired By Authors Like These” (if you made the page with WP Bakery, then edit it with this builder).

Thank you!

Hi,
So if I understand correctly, the problem is only that the image is not saved, but the image is set in tagDiv Composer, but is not saved, if yes, is possible to be a plugin conflict, like WP Bakery plugin, also make sure that your image do not has set a caption set, because this will not working.
Please check this and let me know!

Hi danielaguilar,
I think that the problem with support was only until your account was registered, I hope that now there is no problem to access our forum for support.

The problem with that post is a cache plugin between tagDiv Cloud Library (from this cloud are use the templates for pro demos) that is not compatible with the WPBakery plugin that we provide as option, if you do not want to use tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Cloud Library, to solved this problem, just disable that plugin and everything will be display as in our demo!

Thank you!

Hi,
Please notice that we recommend to use only the plugin that is coming with our theme, these are tested and should work with the version that they come.
Also, next week will be a theme update and we’ll provide the latest version of WPBakery, then you’ll be able to get it from your themeforest account (download the theme with all files).
Thank you for your understanding!

Hi, I am running Newspaper v 9.5.

I am concerned about the reports of a potential exploit in WPBakery. If I purchase the new version of the plugin is it compatible with this version of the theme?

Thank you.

Hi Alex,
I know, that it is somehow connected to the wp bakery page builder plugin. But since that works on my other sites, it is definitely related to some code within the newsmag theme…
Deactivating wp page builder gets the menu functionality back. Since all of my pages are build with it however, I would like to keep the page builder. Unless you have a solution which lets me convert these to tag div composer pages hassle free 😉
thx

achim

So, WPB 6.2.0 is what comes with Newspaper 10.3.6.1

WPB 6.3.0, 6.4.0 and 6.4.1 have come out. When, I and others have asked about updates to WPB, we are told to wait.

There is a vulnerability in WPB, Source. Suggestion is to update to 6.4.1.

Also, it’s 22:15 October 7, 2020 right now (04:15 October 8, 2020 for GMT+2)…you have said on the themeforest that a big update is coming in the near future…https://imgur.com/gu9G7ob.

The 6.2.0 WPB update apparently came out April 2020. A few updates later that hasn’t been updated and with this vulnerability. I am worried about my site being hacked.

By future…do you mean tomorrow? Christmas 2020? Christmas 2021? Christmas 3031?

Hi Calin,
I don’t use WPBakery on my website (only Gutemberg – but I activated / deactivated the latest plug-ins that could create conflict and nothing happend).

I tried to change the setting allow_url_fopen but it was already ON so I turned it OFF. But nothing happened. Do you have any other ideas?

Thank you so much
Gaia

Hi,

This problem can appear when you are using the WPBakery, if you have this plugin enable then please disable it and try again.
If there is still a problem, it can be from a setting like allow_url_fopen = On;
-> https://chemicloud.com/kb/article/how-to-enable-or-disable-allow_url_fopen-in-cpanel/
-> https://www.a2hosting.com/kb/developer-corner/php/using-php.ini-directives/php-allow-url-fopen-directive

Let me know the results!
Thank you!
