We have a newspaper theme installed on our multisite WordPress network and we are using a WPBakery Page Builder for all our development. In the latest newspaper update, we can not deactivate the tagDiv composer because it is compulsory and it is conflicting with WPBakery Page Builder and affecting our current design. Please help. for several months I have a problem when I use the post template:
2, 3, 4, 5
On all the other post templates I have no problems.
I am attaching a classic error message that comes up with articles formatted with a post template:
2, 3, 4, 5.
This is indicated for 2, but is also similar for 3,4,5.

I have tried both to disable WPBakery Page Builder which has disable tagDiv Composer but the problem remains. I also tried disabling the whole plugin directory.
I tried updating with the new NewsPaper 10.
Nothing, always a mistake on post templates 2,3,4,5.

I just updated from Newspaper 9.0.1 to Newspaper 10. My site is a mess!!! I am not going to move from WPBakery Page Builder so have not activated TAGDIV Composter. Where has the Theme Panel gone? I have no where to start to reconstruct my site from this mess…

Unfortunately yes, even tough WP bakery is a tested plugin I personally wouldn’t recommend using it. Since tagDiv Composer was created as our own page builder the developers are working on developing this plugin.
The lines you see are shortcodes that are being rendered only by the tagDiv Composer which is also a MUST HAVE plugin in order to run Newspaper Theme correctly.
You can use wp bakery on a page / post where there are NO tagDiv composer elements.

The problem is the WPBakery Page Builder 6.0.5. When it is disabled I do not have this problem. Sometimes I have to use wpbakery… to edit page. Please consider fix this.

Please notice that the mobile theme will not display the sidebar, there is no option for this.
The mobile version is look like that because you have the mobile theme plugin that provide you a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed you’ll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in mobile editor and this content will be display on mobile theme)

OK but there must be a shortcode to put in functions.php to enable WPBakery in categories…
On another theme it was something like “add_filter( ‘term_description’, ‘do_shortcode’ );”

Same results – after I push activate td visual composer, I had error technicals problem on the site… And site did not available.
Step-by-step actions:
Updated News Paper via Envato Market – successfully done.
Clean cache
Install td visual composer via Newspaper/Plugins – failed. Not connected to the host.
Unzip td-composer to wp-content/plugins on host via FTP – successfully done.
Activating td visual composer via Newspaper/Plugins – error technicals problem on the site… And site did not available.
Restoring site…
Maybe I mast delete WPBakery Visual Composer, before activating tag div visual composer?

You are using a very old theme, there were a lots of changes since Newspaper v7.5, also now the core of our theme is tagDiv Composer, the theme builder.
Making update from v7.5 to the last version will be a very big difference in the theme, it will be almost a new theme, also please make sure that you are making the update according to our documentation -> https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/, first please make a full backup to the theme, also it will be recommend to test first the new theme on local install or on sub-domain, and only after that to make the theme update ( delete all the old theme plugins and the theme and install the new one), also please use only the WPBakery Visual Composer that is coming with our theme, because only these version that comes with the package are tested to work with our theme.

We have been using Newspaper 7.5 for several years and the hosting company just upgraded their PHP to 7.0.33 and WordPress to 5.2.4 and now I can’t get into page admin properly. It comes up mostly gibberish.
I tried installing Newspaper 9 (the latest) and everything went south. I managed to restore back to the old theme. Do you install updated themes so that content stays intact.
My second question: Will the new WPBakery Visual Composer version work with Newspaper 7.5?

If you are using WP Bakery you can try use the text with title element from the tagDiv Composer. If you disable wp bakery you can use Column text element.

After updating NP, I use page newspaper/plugins.

Please notice that the Podcasts pro demo was build only with tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Cloud Library if you use the bakery builder on that demo, please uninstall it and reinstall it again, after that please use only tagDiv Composer, if you’ll use the WPBakery you can break the demo.

What am I missing. I installed the podcast pro demo. When I go and edit the front page with bakery builder in place of the pod cast is a code [tdm_block_column_title ……Tag div composer does not recognise the content either. How do I edit this section? Am I missing a plug in or something?
