Hi i want insert a custom ads fox ex. custom ads 4 before title
I try to insert

I can not figure out what the exact spot to place it before the title.
How i can insert before title and before related article (custom ad 5)
In Block 4, while Unique article is enabled on the Home page, and pagination is set to Lord more, result of clicking on “Load more” repeats articles on the same page.

The category filter you are modifying is not the ‘menu’ but the posts that appear on the block itself. The menu is actually the ajax filter (the other tab) http://screencast.com/t/eAnaTLCDxp9 You can select all the categories to display here (or tabs or authors) or you can set them by hand using the categorty ID (or tag id or author id)

I am not sure I understand your issue but I assume that you ant to exclude posts published by a specific author from a block. 2. I assume that that you want to display different ad-spots according with the post type displayed. To achieve that you will need a condition which check what post type it’s displayed and depending by result display a specific ad. Here is an example for header ad: http://screencast.com/t/4e9sKBons This is just a basic example about how can you check what post type it’s displayed and manipulate the ads according with the result.

Please make sure you select the right category from the block settings: http://screencast.com/t/T8WWisyjU and make sure you have posts set to that specific category. If you simply create a new category that has no posts in it, then the slide element will have nothing to display.

Hello,
I have set the title background colour Alpha to 1% to remove the BG colour of the block title text.
I now want to float the title left so it is aligned with the block.
I am using this CSS:

padding-left: 0;
font-size: 0.85em;
}
But for some reason, it is rejecting it.
It was working before but not anymore. Is there a specific place I have to put this?

Hi, I am just starting to learn about Newspaper6 and I have a question on Categories.
Looking at the demo, there is a section: Dont Miss – this has a menu of many category names
However, looking at the section:LIFESTYLE NEWS there is a menu with fewer category names on them.
What I cant figures out is how to change the items that appear on the menu of each section. If I go to edit the block, I can select filter and I see a drop down box to select a single category. This is set to -All Categories which seems to be the default. If I enter the categories required into the slug box, this makes no difference. Is this because the drop down above is set to -All Categories, in which case what setting should I use.
Would welcome any help on understanding this

This is very strange – on westbridgfordwire.com my Big Grid 1 has suddenly started to fail to resolve to the post when clicking any posts in the grid. The articles are accessible in the blocks below – but not from the gird.
I’ve tried other grids by deleting the grid and then adding through VC but nothing works –
I have however made the following changes to the site this week
Changed from Yoast 2.3.5 to SEO Framework (but three days ago with no issues since)
Ran Force Regen thumbnails (because trying to specify image dimensions and used Chris S speed tips magic code)
That’s all norther changes – any ideas? It seems the URL when clicking is my site’s home – westbridgfordwire.com not westbridgfordwire.com/??? – I have saved permalink again too in case this was it.

I talk about category label. Not only in Big Grid, all the page.
The category label of every block show only one category from one item, but all the item have multiple categories.
Why choose this category.. why show one category and dont show the others? which is the criterium?

The criteria for displaying one category or the other is the one you specify. If you have your grid filtered to ‘latest posts’, it will display the latest posts of all categories http://screencast.com/t/v4anZcsS so all categories will appear in the grid.
If you only specify one category in your grid, then only one category will show up: http://screencast.com/t/d8vsGaSd
Youcan filter a specific sub-categry or you can have multiple categories for it.

Unfortunately the block title field does not accept html/css code at the moment. This code is required to apply a different font for a specific word from block’s title. You will need a code like this one for example to insert two different styles inside same title:
<h2 style="display: inline-block">Title </h2> <h2 style="font-weight: 900;display: inline;"> two fonts </h2> <h2 style="display: inline"> on the same row </h2>

To make the required filed support html/css code are required many custoizations and unfortunately I can’t provide a solution now. If you need this and you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard my advice is to hire a developer to do this for you as we cannot offer custom services at the moment.

I installed the theme yesterday and have spent the past 48 hours optimizing it but I’m having a problem with the website loading. The loading speed is quite slow and the site shows up in a raw and basic way before it loads fully. (You may be able to tell that I’m not a pro at this!)
I downloaded the plugin ‘Above the fold’ which according to them:
“This plugin enables to pass the “Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content”-rule from Google PageSpeed Insights.” This plugin does speed up the website but leaves this preload problem….
Overall the theme is nearly perfect with great customization but I’m having difficulty finding plugins to run with this theme as almost all the plugins I was previously using don’t work, so are there specific plugins that come recommended for this theme, especially in terms of speeding up the site? E.G. I can’t find a plugin to help with compression.

This is just a basic example. Our blocks can be customized in many different ways but this requires custom modifications in theme’s files.
