I’ve created some custom blocks but I’m able to add them to my custom sidebars since they don’t appear in the widget list.
As fas as I see, adding them to td_page_builder_widgets.php is not enough.

But I want to display posts using block3.

I use newspaper theme.
For our newspaper website, we want to be able to feature posts on the homepage. Right now the default shows the most recent posts. Is there a way to select what stories are posted on the homepage?
Similarly, we want this same functionality for the different category pages.
It’s important that we control what gets featured as one of the main 6 images on either section.
Lastly, how do we prevent the featured stories from showing up right underneath the featured area? Is there a way to not show featured posts in the next block of stories? See image example:

I have newspaper v6.2 installed on my website.

I have used tagdiv blocks onto the home page. Now the Ajax filters which are available in a block I want to modify it a bit.
I want that bydefault no categories are being shown and only when i click the “More” option with down arrow that all the categories come up.
Also i want to replace the “more” text with “Select State” in the 1st section of my website called “Latest Jobs”.

Scriu in romana pentru ca este o problema urgenta.
Problema persista de o luna si ceva timp in care am pierdut o groaza de bani pe unul din site-uri. Folosesc Adblock pe chrome si nu mi-am dat seama ca ar fi probleme. Initial, cand am vazut scaderi de venituri in panoul de adminstrare Adsense, am crezut ca este o problema cu CPC si ca va trece + ca am avut o perioada foarte aglomerata si l-am lasat pentru mai tarziu. Tocmai aseara am realizat ca la doua site-uri la care folosesc Newspaper nu imi afiseaza anumite reclame Adsense.
Am problema la site-urile:
1. http://www.sfaturiutile.net
http://www.sfaturiutile.net/sfaturi-pentru-un-somn-odihnitor/ + toate paginile (fara home).
Nu afiseaza reclama din sitebar 300×600.
2. http://www.muzica-populara.com – Nu afiseaza in pagini si nici in postari reclamele din sitebar
Nu imi apare “Custom ad 1” plasat la sfarsitul fiecarei pagini/postare.
exemplu – http://www.muzica-populara.com/cantece-patriotice/ – am un “Custom ad 1” in “Ad box” la sfarsitul articolului si nu apare

Aceleasi probleme le-am avut si pe versiunea 4 ceea ce m-a dus cu gandul ca poate trebuie sa fac update la versiunea 6.5, ceea ce am facut ieri, insa am intampinat aceleasi probleme. Fapt pentru care am anulat modificarea setarilor pentru moment si m-am focusat pe afisarea anunturilor insa am realizat ca nu se poate face nimic.
* Pe sfaturiutile.net am versiunea 6.2 Newspaper
* Am verificat atat pe mai multe browsere (pe chrome am dezactivat toate extensiile, inclusiv AdBlock), pe site-uri precum http://quirktools.com/screenfly unde poti vedea la diferite dimensiuni si pe pc-urile prietenilor si pe alte smartphone-uri
* Tin dezactivate anunturile din sitebar si din footer la “TABLET PORTRAIT” si pe telefoane, le-am dezactivat si activat si in nici o varianta nu apar anunturile.
* Am testat tot felul de dimensiuni si nu apar.
* Am facut update-urile pluginurilor Visual Composer and Social Counter
* Am facut update-ul temei via WordPress pentru ca este cam singura varianta la hostingul pe care il am de la Godaddy.
* Problemele sunt atat pe fosta versiune 4 cat si pe cele noi 6.2 si 6.5
Ce este de facut? Din ce cauza nu apar?
Inca ceva. De ce ati eliminat iconitele care putea fii adaugate in meniu? Cel putin casuta de la home era mult mai buna decat “Acasa”/”Home”.

that code comes from the homepage. Straight from VC code from Newspaper 6.5.
I think it’d be fairly easy for you to add the missing values since most other blocks do have them (eg. the post blocks).
Your theme is great and your support and updates are always perfect.

I guess you use blocks(slider) in post content that’s why you have those errors. We have tested only the blocks functionality on posts, but unfortunately we did not made any tests using Google Structured Data Testing tool when the content has this element, sorry!

You can check in Theme Panel > Excerpts the modules used to creates blocks and which one have also the content – http://screencast.com/t/FdREjAZAdT

About WYSIWYG, I meant more like an upload button to insert the image/video ad in the ad box instead of one has to get the file url and paste it there. Perhaps I used the wrong name.
About the creation of our own blocks, like I said, don’t know if that is possible but it would be nice to have a builder like Visual Composer. I have seen this on Magento themes where one inserts a widget and by drag n’ drop one can define which elements should be in the widget. Black & White theme for Magento has this feature.
Perhaps these things would need be separated plugins one can buy and add to the Newspapper theme?

I have added your requests on our suggestions list and the developers will take a look at your suggestion and maybe some features will be implemented in future.
Please provide more details about WYSIWYG on the ads manager. Do you mean to preview the post containing the ads? If this is what you mean, I guess it is not so easy to implement as the theme has many post templates and the format is different.
Regarding the custom blocks you can use the Api plugin to create new modules/blocks – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-theme-api/ please note that it is for advanced users.

Unfortunately the theme doesn’t have such an option, only using the ajax filter on blocks you can achieve something similar or try to use blocks in in Tabs element from Visual Composer.

Because the video link you’re placing on the page is not https — so the browser blocks any non-https content when loading an https page — this is purpose of https; if everything on page not secure, then it defeats the purpose.
Make sure you use https URLs for your videos.
It doesn’t say it’s malware, it says “this file is not commonly downloaded” … which merely means Google’s caching system for Chrome hasn’t had a lot of hits to that specific file. You can simply click the arrow and select “keep” … or more info.

Cleared all CSS, disabled all plugins except VC and still not working. Unable to edit any blocks.

We have a user on an iPad Mini who has sent several screen shots where images from different stories are showing up where ads should be.
They are on IOS 9, however state the problem has occurred before the update. They are not using any sort of ad blocker.

I have been unable to re-create this problem on either my iPad or iPhone.
