1. We know about this issue and it will be fixed in version 5 of Newspaper, until then please use this custom css in Theme Panel > Custom Css:

how long usually i should wait. I have two posts commented on Friday and in the block where i display most commented articles i still dont see these which were commented. The block is set to show Most Commented articles.

If you refer to the blocks thumbnails – http://screencast.com/t/dvrxR0Jv9sge please note that WordPress doesn’t enlarge images and you will need to use plugin like Thumbnail Upscale to enlarge thumbnails,: https://wordpress.org/plugins/thumbnail-upscale/ For upscale use a combination of plugins Thumbnail Upscale + Force Regenerate.
Please provide more details if this not solve your issue as I’m not sure what it is.

The setting does note that it only works with specific content blocks, so you might want to double check that?
I think you can just edit the header file and put the block of text where the ad normally goes.
Edit the template for the layout “style” you want to use.
Yes, I know htaccess is not for anything related to “render blocking”. I’ve just sent you htaccess to make sure that everything was done correctly.
A problem is to move all these files that google showed to footer as written in main newspaper guide. As shown above in the image, there are no corresponding ids of the files.
Google suggests to optimize your files and lets you download them.
Should i use them?
Welcome to WordPress. WP doesn’t support “enlarging of images.” They (Automattic) turn OFF the built in function of the ImageMagick module on server for their stupid philosophy that enlarged images look fuzzy. Hence need to use a plugin to allow images to be larger than the size you upload.
So, not a theme issue. But still super annoying. Hence need for a plugin to “unlock” the featured to make thumbs larger to “crop and fit” things like sliders/blocks.
Obviously you have to regenerate your thumbnails to fit the sizes used by the theme if they don’t exist.

Im having trouble with 1.7. Its too slow. And that image animations made this temp disgusting! i hated it 1.7! I want the older version. I already sent an email but i needed a place to say my feelings! is there anyone out there angry, just like me?

when my website is opening, first i see the original template with dark bars and default fonta. then it turns to my customized web site. i hate this thing! solve this please.
Temp is not wide enough. i cant use is properly. especially on the hd monitor it looks thinner.
grid problem. the big grid image could have been a slide. and it would have been a great! but its not. any ideas?
the block image thing. an image regenerates for 5 times. this is a lot of image man. cant you just expand it or strech it maybe minimize it? ive downloaded several plugins for mini sliders and they dont regenarate thumbs. theyre using the original image…so it means it can be done.
anyway. ive got a lot of problem here. but my biggest problem is my web site slowness. i want the older version please. at least older one was little bit faaster…

The htaccess file does nothing whatsoever related to “render blocking” CSS/JS; that is not its purpose.
The htaccess file gives directives for the server, running “above” the site for caching, expiration, redirects, etc.
Mod_Pagespeed settings won’t do anything unless your server has that.
Obviously your permalink structure for WordPress should be in your file (missing from your example).
You don’t need two sets of expire headers (!).
All of the above is to help with optimization of page loading — nothing to do with HOW the content loads on the page (aside from mod_pagespeed of course).
The only way to optimize for the CSS/JS render blocking is to build custom site without all the bells and whistles and custom load content in groups; and you can optimize some of that with the tagdiv speed booster plugin.

But the home page sidebar above the block section “Even More News” is not smart like the demo version. Its not freezing. The above sidebar consists Adsense ad, Must Watch Videos & Holidays.
But the sidebar section after “Even More News” block section is fine.

Disqus writes the comment count to the normal WordPress comment function. So any plugin that calls that properly will work. This is why the comment count works correctly on posts and blocks (but not the author page, oddly).
The theme doesn’t manage Disqus in any way. So basically it just reads the WP data field for comment count, a normal WP function. So, you have to wait for Disqus and WP to sync. Theme does not manage that in any way.
You can often find help on this topic on the support forum for Disqus.
We go through this also, but don’t obsess over it.
Is it possible to use WPBakery on posts. It is available on pages, and I use it all the time. But I would also like to use it on posts.
I want to put an image block on post pages above the featured image and cannot find a way to do this within the admin dashboard. If we can’t do it within WPBakery on a post-by-post basis, it would be great if there were an option within the theme panel that allowed us to do it.

First of all i’m not a developer i’m a designer/new to wordpress:.I followed the guide by Chris S, it was little bit hard for me to understand all of that, english is not my main language.I did everything i could to improve my pagespeed.I get 89 on desktop and 74 on mobile.I asked developers at my work, they were unable to help or they just sent me away.

I’ve tried to recreate this however the live search with ajax isn’t working on your site as the access to the admin-ajax.php file is blocked by your host, at least on my side: http://screencast.com/t/jhrGKwo2ta
Contact your server administrator and explain the situation, it may be that the file it’s treated as threat so it’s banned.
I’ve tested the search on my side locally and haven’t found any issues. Please make sure that you also test this without using any plugins and also make sure you empty all caches.

The theme use the WordPress thumb system and uses thumbs on module/blocks/slides which are cropped at the same size as the thumb container.
Please make sure that you regenerate your thumbnails then test again and provide your site url so I can check it if you still have issues afterwards.

Like you can see in Custom typography there is an option to set font only for default page template. So when you have text content that template should be used. The other page templates(you use Homepage Blank – http://fashionview.gr/ ) are recommended to be used pagebuilder content like you can see in our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates/

You use pages instead of using posts for text content and pictures that’s why you have some issues with fonts. You can do that, but it will be more easily to use posts to write your articles(set fonts for title and content – http://screencast.com/t/VR5BI1efbPn) as pages are used especially for Page builder – add elements via Visual Composer.
