Usually this issue is related to a firewall or security module which blocks admin-ajax.php request. If you don’t use a security plugin, please ask your host about this, maybe you have a security module which blocks this.
You should also check that the system status and make sure that it’s set properly, you can check this in system status section within theme’s panel

Ok so I upgraded to the most recent version of newspaper, but still the big grid blocks are not displaying correctly. Additionally now when I open a page I no longer have a button to edit in TD composer. The only way I can edit is to open the page in a browser window and select the edit with TD composer link at the top of the screen. I have shut down all plugins and still the errors persist.

I had to remove this code in the flex block 1 td_util::get_option('tds_category_module_flex_1') == 'yes') and replace it with this td_util::get_option('tds_category_module_2') == 'yes') for the category to show up. I am not sure why the first is not working.
I can’t seem to limit post number to a single post. I’ve tried several “blocks” but they all revert to 5. Is this not possible?
Hello! We have had a problem with admin ajax for about three weeks and we are still working to get it fixed without any success. This problem prevents new entries to be shown when users click on the arrow to load new entries or they scroll down to see more entries, for example. The most serious problem we have is the following:
jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:4 POST https://www.profedeele.es/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?td_theme_name=Newsmag&v=4.2 net::ERR_SPDY_PROTOCOL_ERROR
We have disabled all plugins and the problem persists. We have done a cleanup of the database tables and nothing changes. We have contacted the server manager and they have done all the possible tests and have recommended the following. Literal copy of their message:
“I have been reviewing and at server level I am not seeing anything additional that may be affecting you.
When you try to click on the arrow and the screen is blocked, a request is sent that generates a 404 error.
Specifically the one you indicated to us 147.135.228.61 – – [27/Mar/2018:18:15:33 +0200] “GET /wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.form.min.js.map HTTP/1.0” 404 42135 “-” “Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/58.0.3029.110 Safari/537.36”
If you go to the URL https://www.profedeele.es/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?td_theme_name=Newsmag&v=4.2 you can see that it gives protocol error (ERR_SPDY_PROTOCOL_ERROR) you can also see it from any of the browser developer tools developer you use.
The issue is that if you access https://www.profedeele.es/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php this protocol error does not appear, so it seems that the admin-ajax.php is calling some external resource via https that does not have SSL certificate and generates the problem.
This may depend on the configuration of the theme itself, Daniel. I would recommend that you get in touch with the WP Theme support to see what kind of requests it makes and they can help you in a more adequate way so that you can solve the problem. “

When creating a sidebar Its difficult to know how each block looks like without adding it to the template and previewing. Is there a location I can see a visual sample of each tagdiv block for the sidebar?

The flex block has at the moment 3 image sizes you can choose from and use inside the block, the setting is here

The smallest image size that can be used for the flex block would be small (696px). Use the smaller size to reduce the size of the images. More image sizes may be added in the future.
Last night the big grid blocks stopped displaying correctly on our site. Originally had big grid 3 but it would only display PART of the grid and began swapping with other big grid blocks but every one i switched to would not display correctly either a row or a block was missing. Flex Block module is serving the largest uploaded file into WordPress Media Library. For example https://retailnet.pl/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/renata-gralec.jpg
Look at the options in TagDiv Composer in Flex Block module options. We have three sizes to choose:
Small, Medium, Large – in my case I have setup Small size selected, so served Image should have 696px width and name of serving file should be https://retailnet.pl/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/renata-gralec-696×392.jpg
But when you check the image serving on website is https://retailnet.pl/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/renata-gralec.jpg and the flexbox block is serving wrong size file.

I do manage several WP environments (prod, uat, dev) with Newspaper theme installed on each of them.
While creating an easy page today, i discovered that the default page template differs in my dev environment compared with the prod and uat environments.
The blocks which are displayed by default are title, body, Page Template Settings, comments in prod and uat environments and title, body, comments in my dev environment.
If i play with the page attributes>template menu i can still find what i need, but how can i configure the theme panel, in order to have this Page Template Settings there by default?

I have a problem with images on my website. All images are serving with not resized dimensions (full size image).
Now page size is 5.2 MB and is too heavy.
I’m using Flex Block 1 Module.
How to set up Newspaper Theme and WordPress to serve proper size of image in Flex Block 1 module (now images are bigger than required), changing image size in Layout tab in Flex Block 1 not affecting which size is served and always serving full size uploaded image.

Hello. I know that we use an old NP Version. But it would be nice to get a hint where we have to search the error. We want to know how the process between visualcomposer / theme works.
In VisualComposer the background-color for all blocks (https://www.prad.de/buisness/lg-business-area/) is #a50034 but all blocks show the standard color #2984cd
The first block (AKTION) has also an ajax load button. If you klick the button, the color ist right.

It should be used only if you do not use block pagination or other pagination it will generate duplicates on second/next page. This option would be useful when no pagination is used in the page (static page).
There is an offset feature as well

Useful when multiple blocks for example, are configured to display posts from the same categories.

There are plans in a coming major update to change how widgets are used in the theme. There will be a considerable amount of flexibility added for many theme elements. I cannot say more about it or provide a time estimate for the update unfortunately. Sorry if this is an inconvenience at the moment.
