If I hit on a category, I will land on a category page:
1. How can posts be sorted alphabetically on a category page?
I have a tourism website, so only alphabetic filtering of posts makes sense. Maybe I have overlooked some options but I could not find any solution so far.
If i create an individual page with blocks, I can set the options for filtering, but if I hit on a category somewhere, I will land on a category page, where I cannot change filtering.
2. Would you recommend redirecting category pages to an individual page for each category, where I can filter posts alpahbetically?!

Hi,
Images, despite being 2000px width are not displaying full width inside a text block.
Single image block, set at size full, is not following the height of the image.
Problems happened after the latest update.
Last, the tagdiv composer gets stuck on loading.

I have two questions about the Newsmag theme. Searching your forum shows a lot of topics, but i want:
1. Set primary category from wordpress post (disabling newsmag category) or global settings to set it to
all posts that the category is inherited from wordpress primary category.
2. I look for a option to add share buttons to the blocks on the homepage. Is it possible, or can i do it with a code.

First off, great theme, it really has a wide variety of customization opitons, which is a plus.
1) To begin, we were wondering if it is at all possible to display the “Big Grid Full 1” block on mobile the way it appears on the homepage. When on mobile, I only see latest posts but not the “Big Grid Full 1” the way it layed out currently on the homepage.
If so, we would also like to have tabs appear on mobile, say if were to add them on a block like the way this website did it –> hypebeast.com (they have tabs on mobile)

2) Also, the animation setting on the theme doesn’t seem to be responding on the latest posts for some reason (block 12). I would like the images to scale when they are being hovered on the homepage as well.
You can do that with blocks.
For a while, I have been using the default WordPress homepage that automatically displays “Your latest posts” instead of a static homepage. Now, using TagDiv composer, I am building a new homepage, which is working great, but I had a question.
Is there a way to change the excerpts to show all post text up to the Read More tag? This is how it worked before, but now, using Block 13, it is showing the excerpts that I manually entered in my Excerpts section of the post editor instead.
I checked the Excerpt settings in the Newspaper Theme Panel as well as the block settings, but I didn’t see a way to change this behavior. Please let me know if I am able to change it to show all my post content up to the Read More tag. Thanks.

I created a new page called “Finance” and underneath used Block 12 to show articles. Then I went into the articles section and checked off two of them with a “Finance” category. However, when I go to the Finance page I see all articles rather than only 2 for Finance. Would you please assist? I appreciate it.
Hi! Your theme works fine. It does not work only tag div composer. The Visual composer works well, the blocks are displayed in backend, everything is fine, but when I switch to editing mode with tag div composer, I see a white screen. How to fix it? I want to create pages with tagdiv composer.

I know that blocks can be used to display category posts.
For example block 9, they have too much space between titles.
I would rather prefer them to be compact with less spacing between post title.
For eg, I would prefer
aaaaaaa
bbbbbbb
ccccccc
rather than what is now Block 9
aaaaaaa
bbbbbbb
ccccccc
Also regarding downloaded plugins, I want to add widgets on homepage using Visual Composer or Tagdiv Composer.

Hi,
The blocks were designed to display posts, not products. Custom post types and pages can also be displayed in blocks. There is no option or filter to show these products on the blocks, in Visual composer.

From what I understand this plugin sorts the posts from a single category. That can be done using any of the block widgets available

Is it possible to display products (instead of posts) inside blocks or grids? When I add a grid inside Visual Composer, I only see the option to add/or specify posts–no options to add products. This would be very helpful for displaying products in a unique fashion. Thanks!

I am having the same problem as above. In short, my single product page and shop page have lost their left margins and are all over the place. They were working fine but out of the blue appear to have gone to sh*t virtually overnight. I just updated to WordPress 4.8 but not sure if that’s a culprit.
In reviewing your post above, I still appear to have the correct code on the product page which is similar to your example. See below.

I turned off all plugins except for Visual Composer and WooCommerce and the problem still exists. I tried a different theme which did appear to resolve the issue. When I go back to Newspaper 8, the problem returns. So there appears to be an issue between the theme and WooCommerce. I also updated to WP 4.8 which plausibly could have contributed.
I’m quite experienced with WordPress after nearly a decade of using it, but this one has me stumped and frustrated. Would welcome any help you can provide.

I created the path and copied the respective file in my child theme, then added the following line of code on the suggested place in the php code: ‘w-menu’ => ‘w menu’ but it breaks the site. To try, I added the code in the respective file, in the respective parent theme’s folder (as you describe above) – it breaks the site again.
I have the shop menu created, just can’t create a new location- woocommerce pages.
Btw, just as a note, in case that matters – I use the following code to avoid loading woocommerce scripts on non-woocommerce pages:
