Hello Tony!

Sometimes, the issue can be from a plugin conflict or a cache issue. That’s why we recommend first deactivating ALL plugins except tagDiv ones; if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache (also from your browser), and see the results.

Thank you!

Hello @dlicoppe !

I’ve tried and for me it works well.
So, probably, it could be a plugin conflict or a cache issue. Make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.

Let me know the results!

Thank you!

Hello @igormiranda93 !

You need to check if you assigned the correct single template for that post.
Clear all the cache and see the results.

Hi iegexpo, did you disable/enable the new options for inline and aggregate css from the theme panel? Because if there is an extra cache plugin or optimize plugin for css used it can create problems – https://i.imgur.com/s2qpatr.png (this was one of the problems that some users had after theme update to 12.6 and used extra plugins for css optimize).
Thank you!

Hi cbisha,
A key is valid per life once it’s bought. Also, if the theme is not activated you are restricted to cloud templates (you can not download updates from the cloud, but you can use those that you already have), install the pre-build websites and theme updates.

From what I read in the topic the problem is related to an object cache, that it’s way the theme is always appear as unregistered and you can not see the save changes in the theme panel – https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/https://i.imgur.com/YgsiTVM.png

Thx. Since I cannot get any support from WordPress who referred us to tag div, we don’t see any way to “remove cache plugins from the tool bar”?
Please reply with directions on how to accomplish an edit in the wp toolbar and so to avoid the corrupted view while signed in.
Thx again
Kevin

Hello @smga!

I’ve tested on my end, and it seems that the issue is not a conflict with Woocommerce or a bug from the latest update.
So, probably, it could be a plugin conflict or a cache issue. Make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.

Let me know the results!

Yesterday I discovered my all updated but the theme (due to modal error) sites running Newspaper suffered an injection in head creating a new place holder tdw (tdw-css and such elements) calling to a news and suspicius js:

https://cdn.statisticscripts.com/stats/post.js

and the one of the other sites call to this:

https://one.dataofpages.com/sources/cdn.js

VirusTotal has a clear opinio about the file
https://www.virustotal.com/gui/url/1667b534f91bf126e5d2cef952bf96405dd51e1ff2bdaec05b2c377e44da3441?nocache=1

So I had to update urgently the theme to last version without testing if modal lightbox and classic editor is working again like in 12.3. I’ve not summarised what it could be affected and had to look everything when I have more time.
Any clue about this vulnerability? Are you aware?

Best regards

Hello @theheritagelab !

a) We do not have any other tested plugins. Sorry!
b) Cool.
c) Disable this option if this is enabled: https://prnt.sc/uuag239louz7
Also, try to reload the template from the Cloud Library. Clear all the cache and see the results.

Thank you!

Hi LeoStevenson, so that error appears only when you are using php 8? It is possible to have some cache that is still searching for old php version/paths (7.4). We had some cases when we needed to clear all cache and restart the server after the php version was updated. Also, the problem can be case by a plugin, what can be done is to check when there is no plugin enable if the problem persists, if no, then add the theme plugins and check again to see if is related to a theme plugin and so on until you get the plugin that caused the problem.
Thank you!

Hello,
Than you for letting us know about this. We’ll make some checks and see what can be the problem.
Also, if you are using some cache or optimize plugins what I can suggest is to disable the new option for inline css from 12.6, because it is possible to interfere – https://i.imgur.com/x8plsG7.png

Hello @zoldfulu !

I can see the mobile theme displaying on the desktop and mobile versions too. This situation appears when you are using the mobile theme plugin and the cache plugin that you have does not feature options for a separate mobile theme plugin therefore do not know when to deliver the mobile version and when to deliver the desktop version.

Thank you!

Hi,

I’ve cleared all caches multiple times and nothing seems to work.

The problem only exists with the Social Counter. Everything else has been updated to the new X/Twitter icon properly.

Is there somewhere I can find/see the “X” icon to see what is there?

Regards

Mark

Hello Mark!

I think there is a cache issue. Please clear all your cache and try again.

Hello @gstraton !

I’ve tested the latest update and for me it works well.
Please check if the search results is opening in the tagdiv Composer: https://prnt.sc/aP_XOlgvNNdH
If it’s working in the TagDiv Composer, then the issue could be from a plugin conflict or a cache issue.

Thank you!

Hi gstraton, I just checked your website and I see that you have now the Newspaper v12.5.1 but the problem is still persisting, the search is not working, I tried it on both mobile and desktop.
Now if the problem appears only when you are not logged in, then it is a problem caused by a cache plugin or optimize plugin that is interfering with the theme JavaScript.
Thank you!

Hi sabedott,
If you have problems with the website layout than the theme update and you also use a cache or optimize plugin, then it can be a conflict between the theme option for inline the css and the one from the plugin. What you can do is to disable the theme option an clear the cache and check if the problem is resolved – https://i.imgur.com/iQR12eR.png
Thank you!

Hello Mark!

Please execute these steps:
1. disable TagDiv Composer
2. uninstall(delete) TagDiv Composer
3. install TagDiv Composer
4. activate TagDiv Composer
Sometimes, the issue can be from a plugin conflict or a cache issue. That’s why we recommend first deactivating ALL plugins except tagDiv ones; if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache (also from your browser), and see the results.

Thank you!

Hello @xenia.arg !

Everything can be fixed. I can see the mobile theme displaying on the desktop and mobile versions too. This situation appears when you are using the mobile theme plugin and the cache plugin that you have does not feature options for a separate mobile theme plugin therefore do not know when to deliver the mobile version and when to deliver the desktop version. We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:

1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page.Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.

2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages

3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.

A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY

If you need to use the mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.

Make sure that all the settings are like in our requirements, please follow the guide carefully: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.

Thank you!
