If the problem still persist, make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

Unfortunately i do not know if this will work, as I can see your gallery is different from the one that we provide in our example, but if this works on v4.6 it should work in v4.9.3 too.
Make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

The mobile theme plugins appear on desktop because of the cache plugins, these are minify the css and js and using the mobile theme will minify the css for mobile too, but will no longer know when to display the mobile css, therefore this will appear on desktop, the cache plugin that we recommend with our settings from the guide will know the css and when to apply it.
As I can see you require assistance for optimize your website speed, unfortunately these are not covered by the theme support, therefore all I can do is to provide some suggestions.

When the mobile version is displaying on desktop is a cache problem, we recommend to use WP Super Cache we the settings from our guide -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ also if you are using other cache plugins please deactivate theme and make a test.

I am currently using a managed vps with LiteSpeed enabled Cloudflare, using wp-rocket as cache plugin( i know wp super cache is recommended but wp-rocket is showing better results) using Imagify to compress images.
I have gone through almost all available posts here, so please do not share a link of anything that I already know about without checking on the site mentioned.
I am also using the newspaper mobile theme separately, I tried to enable minify CSS files, but it causes problems if I am using the mobile theme, web version sometimes start throwing up the mobile version.
I think minify CSS files will work fine if do not use the mobile theme, but this will increase the page load speed for the mobile version.

I’m inserting a title into a row. How is the font size changed?
In TD Composer, in Title > General, there are icons for font size, line height, font style, font weight, text transform, and letter spacing. Some have drop down menus and some don’t. Font size does not.
Inline text has the same issue.
How are font sizes changed?
I’ve cleared the cache, not running CDN, and system status parameters are fine.

I actually installed WP Super Cache yesterday after research the issue on this forum. It did not help so I deactivated it.
After your reply today, I tried reactivating it but the site won’t allow me. I contacted WordPress.com and they said that the plugin is not compatible with their Business [hosting] Plan and discouraged its use. Here’s their information: https://wordpress.com/support/incompatible-plugins/
I also again cleared my Chrome browser cache but it’s the same. The Author photo does not show on first landing but shows up upon refreshing. I get the same result on Firefox.
Any other suggestions?

I deactivate all the plugins but the tagdiv ones, as you said.
I don’t use a child theme nor a plugin cache (because I had compatibility issue with Newspaper theme by the way, even with the plugin you give the advice for).
When I try again, still the same issue.
But when I try to modify a footer, it lets me change header things without error.
But I can’t access directly the header. Very strange. With this, I bypassed the problem but I can’t use a new template for the header for example. As it is a feature of the theme, I’d love to fix this issue. Thanks again.

The Mobile theme was specially designed for optimization on mobile devices. Unfortunately on mobile theme you cannot do much changes of design. If you want to have the same design as on desktop mode you can achieve that by simply disabling the mobile theme.
You will have to recreate your pages into the Mobile editor or completely disable the mobile theme.
Also you can disable mobile theme on certain pages or posts by following this setting:

Hi, I use newspaper theme on this site but it s a litle bit slow. google page speed test is also not so good.
I use autoptimize and WP Fastest Cache but it s still slow. I tried WP Super Cache too…
