Hi

The theme has been developed to be fast but it may still need configurations on this matters so test your site using google’s page speed insights testing tool(or gtmetrix) and try to follow the instructions indicated there to optimize the server. Also make sure that the parameters from system status have the values indicated in our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ You can also try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer to reduce the queries and use mysql query cache to improve the loading speed: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.7/en/query-cache.html For more details about you can check our documentation in page-speed regard: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/

Thanks!

Hello,

The sticky sidebar does work on infinite scroll if you implement it correctly. Here is an example: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/homepage-infinite-scroll/ Even without the load more button, the sticky sidebar will work as expected. Please use this guide to implement it on pages: https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/
The smart sidebar will also not work if you have a plugin conflict affecting the theme js. Please also try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files.

Thank you!

Hi

You have a resource called from http and if your site runs over https the browser may block it. Basically if you’re using ssl all resources must be loaded trough https. It also could be an issue generated by server side cache so you can try to contact your host provider and ask for more details in this regard and also if can be turned off.

Thanks!

Hi

Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer Composer, clear all caches then test the site again. Usually this issue occur because of Jetpack mobile theme module which conflicts with our theme so try to deactivate this module and check how it goes.

Thanks!

Hello,

Please remove your custom css added on the header that makes it 80 px. That is where the empty space comes from. http://screencast.com/t/oI6V3RaQpXc
If you did not add any custom css then please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then test again.

Thank you!

Hello,
You seem to have lots of errors in your browser console. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then test again. This is most likely a plugin conflict.
Thank you!

We are using latest version of Newspaper theme and using different servers for Frontend and DB. Both servers are 32GB RAM, 900SSD, 16 Cores.

Whenever our site reaches 1000 people it will die right away. Sometimes Error in connection and sometimes the front end server just dies. So I found out that the CPU load is 100% all the time.

We are also using CDN and WPsuper cache as recommended by your forum.
The first page opens within 3 seconds but the inside page takes more than 10 seconds to open. Kindly advice how do we fix this.

Make sure you have the image “sizes” activated on the module pages.
Also, clear cache.
Also, turn off lazy load animations.

Thanks for your work on this, but the JavaScript still doesn’t render, although the boilerplate does. The script works on the staging site, but not on the live site.

Could it have something to do with Flywheel’s server-side cache? Or the Let’s Encrypt SSL? Baffled.

Hi team

I’ve been facing this issue since a long time now. Whenever we start getting good traffic, the CPU usage spikes to 100% and the site is unreachable to users.

I’ve been tweaking it since months now with fail. It’s a nginx-varnish-php5-fpm-fastcgi-xcache setup with W3TC, page cache, object cache, database cache & browser cache on.

I read somewhere in the Newsmag forum that it might be due to the VC plugin. (My version is 4.11). I’m using New Relic to check what is causing the spike and it seems index.php is the culprit. I also fixed the header error at line 6 by using the if, else code. But I keep getting some error saying GET index.php timed out.

Is VC causing this issue? Should I disable VC on post pages? How to do that?

HI

I am not sure why this happens but it could be an issue caused by some plugins. Try to deactivate all plugins excerpt Visual Composer, deactivate the child theme, clear all caches, purge the cdn if you’re using then test the site again.
Let us know ho it goes.
Thanks!

Hello mohittodarwal,

Please ignore this message and try to install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme, clear all caches and check the results. Please notice that all the plugins which come with the theme have the own license and must not buy anything. Please ensure that you are using the latest version of Visual Composer which come bundled with the latest version of theme. Clear all your caches and test it again.

Thanks for the message!
