Hi,
I have checked your site and your have a javascript error that may cause this issue – http://screencast.com/t/uRNcju4bZQ
Please disable all your plugins except of Visual Composer, clear cache and see if you still have this issue. Also disable all js/css minification and CDN.
Thanks!
Hi,
I have nailed it down to CDN for beginning, once CloudFlare CDN disabled, search box and slide menu started to work – so my question here, what could be in CloudFlare causing this, as I would really like to use this CDN? I tried with RocketLoader off, with JS/CSS/HTML minify off settings – but no good – as soon as CloudFlare CDN on – menu and search stop working 🙁
Next thing I managed to find out is minification plugin “WP Optimize By xTraffic” – it is a great plugin, it made me go to 100/100 in demo theme – but it causes iPhone Ajax issues.
This plugin minifies everything, as well it makes CSS and JS load Async. Great stuff – but if I can not use it, what do you suggest to use for minification and async load of CSS and JS?
Thanks!
Hi,
Yes, you are right on browser emulator seems to work. You still have css/js minification.
What cache plugin do you use? We recommend Wp Super Cache now used by default, no minification. Sometime it is not enough just to disable the cache plugin for example W3 Total Cache, even if you delete the plugin issues may still remain. Also please disable clodflare Cdn when you check this.
If you still have this issue you can send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can take a look, also paste a link to this topic so we can know who you are and what you issue is.
Thanks!
Unless your server doesn’t have imagemagik running, you should get multiple thumbs when you upload a NEW image or regenerate thumbs. You can also check your error log to see if something is broken.
Are you using a CDN or something — in that case the images are not on your site but on the CDN with some setups.
Link to one of your pages might be useful ?
Hi Alin,
I have disabled all plugins, including cache plugins (meaning no minification or caching exists any more), cleared server cache and CloudFlare CDN cache too, but problem still persists.
On two iPhone 6 devices menu can not open and search too, as well as all Ajax links to categories.
On my desktop computer, when I open developer console and than mobile mode, these things works.
Can you test on your mobile device – http://dev.fokus.ba
Thanks!
Hi,
Sorry for delay! We answer to the most oldest topics so if you add a new reply we get later to your topic.
Usually ajax errors are caused by some plugins that conflicts with the theme javascript, so please make sure you disable all the plugins except of Visual Composer, clear cache and purge your files if you use CDN(also you can deactivate CDN). If you have the js/css minified please remove it. Let me know how it goes!
Thanks!
Hi
Try to deactivate all plugins, clear all caches, purge cdn files and deactivate cloudflare’s rocket loader tool and test again.
If the problem persist please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your site’s login details and we will inspect this issue, also include a link to this topic.
Thanks!
Try switching to the default WP theme, and see if that fixes it?
Theme should have nothing to do with your permalinks structure.
Be sure you clear ALL your server/CDN caching.
Did you try just renaming the current page you have for your home page now ?
Just change it and/or the title from “home” to “homepage” for example. Then go to your static setting and choose the new name.
Hi
Update the theme at the current version which it’s 2.1 clear all caches purge the cdn files if you’re using cdn host and test again. If the problem persist send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-access so we can take a closer look at this issue, also paste a link to this topic.
Thanks!
Hi,
The latest version of the Visual Composer plugin (4.6.2) hasn’t been tested with your theme version so in your case it would be best to continue using the 4.4.4 version if it’s working or install version 4.3.5 which should be used with theme version 4.6.1 as this version of VC plugin was provided within theme’s /plugins folder: http://screencast.com/t/s86Lh7teEW
If you want to use the latest version of Visual Composer plugin then you need to update the theme to version 6 which has support for later versions of VC plugin and it’s also included within full theme’s package.
If you decide to update please follow this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ backup your current install, run the import settings script, update plugins and check the result. You can always get back to the previous working theme version if something goes wrong as long as you backup it but doing the update as instructed the theme should work fine.
You should also consider into the process at the following aspects:
– backup your current theme/WordPress/database: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
– setup a maintenance mode and you can use a plugin for that.
– empty all caches/purge files if you also use CDN host then disable any services of this type until you switch to the new theme
– disable all plugins
– install the theme then install the required plugins
– switch back the rest of the plugins and start other services
Let us know how it goes!
Thanks
Hi
That happens because the setting you currently use has been changed in the latest update. It’s enough to go to theme panel >categories and set the category template: http://screencast.com/t/JmI2zZx8xoV make sure you clear the cache, purge cdn file if you’re using and test again.
Thanks!
Hi,
Please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-access so we can take a look. Usually this issue is caused by a plugin that conflicts with the theme ajax so you can try again to disable all the plugins except of Visual Composer, clear cache(then deactivate also the cache plugin) also purge your files if you use CDN(disable CDN).
Thanks!
Heh. If gtmetrix times out that is really bad, and might be first thing to check with your cdn. Try turning off all the plugins except vc, then solve that problem first. Turn off lazy load feature.
Go through my sticky post at top of forum, and be aware of stuff like upping default wp memory, expiration headers, default image optimization level, functions.php fixes, remove as much external stuff as possible like gravatars, limit ad spots, dont use google fonts, etc.
