Hi,
You could do that, but there could be problems. We don’t recommend Visual composer for posts, however some users still do this. You could give it a try if this is required for you, see if there are problems.
Why not use tagDiv composer for both? With the cloud library plugin you can now create post templates. You can have as many as you want and apply them to the posts you want
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Thanks
You have to activate the theme in order to use the cloud library. The theme can be activated locally so it should not be a problem.
Hi,
You could create something similar with the tagDiv composer and cloud library plugin
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Currently the cloud library provides 45 beautiful post templates, maybe one of them is similar to it already. Check them out or choose the blank template and begin building the post template with the tagDiv composer
– http://prntscr.com/krksyk
Experiment with the cloud library and composer to create post templates.
Thanks
Hi,
The theme related articles section will always be at the bottom of the post page, only the comments will be below it when enabled.
That is where it is supposed to appear and defined in the post template files
– https://www.screencast.com/t/KFd4EJRg
Maybe modify the location of that code in the template, move it higher and see where it appears then.
Make the modification for the post template you want (Ex: post template 1 – > loop-single-1.php).
For the new cloud post templates everything in the post template can be rearranged with the tagDiv composer.
But for the predefined ones only though template file modifications it will be possible.
Thanks
As you can see in the screenshot, I’ve used tagdiv composer and cloud library plugin and im already editing a single post template, imported from cloud library of yours Simion and im not still able to see breadcrumbs as an element.
Lets please not spend unproductive time on this matter, it has already gone more far than expected.
Hi,
The theme container width is 1068px. A general width setting to chnage this does not exist. There are options to stretch the rows containing the content, for example in pages
– https://www.screencast.com/t/II6LCBDb5w
With the help of the cloud library plugin you can now use the tagDiv composer to design post templates as well
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
So you can import/modify cloud templates or create them from blank. The same stretch settings will be available.
Thanks
Maybe I am misunderstanding. The bottom line is that you have to use the tagDiv composer and cloud library plugin to be able to import post templates.
This is the only way to see the breadcrumbs as an element. With Visual composer this is not possible.
Hello,
Sorry but the authors box cannot show posts. it shows the author name and a few data about the author.
You can however change the content on the author page though. Use the cloud library plugin to change the content shown on the author template. Import a new author template and then use the tagdiv composer to add the content you want to show on that page. Then apply the author template in the theme panel under template settings.
Thank you!
Hi,
Some more details about what exactly are you doing and what is happening would be very helpful. If there is a problem with something we will fix it.
Actual posts cannot be edited with the tagDiv composer, only the post templates can
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Mention as many details as possible so we can try to recreate the problem and resolve it.
Thanks
Hi,
That is a screenshot of a cloud post template, which can be designed with the tagDiv composer and cloud library plugin
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
The old predefined templates cannot be edited with our composer, only the cloud templates. These can easily be imported and modified if needed, or you can start from a blank template and use the elements you want.
Hi,
In pages built with the tagDiv composer you can stretch rows. There are some predefined widths or full width
– https://www.screencast.com/t/1wEhULjMyPyJ
That will allow for a wider layout.
For posts this could be done by using the cloud library plugin together with the tagDiv composer to design the post templates
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
The rows in the post can be stretched the same way
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ELvWaxPIQbR
If you have more questions please let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
Using the cloud library post templates, this is possible. All you have to do is to check the required option
– https://www.screencast.com/t/um3qvHeCVzKJ
More about the cloud library plugin here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
For the predefined post templates this could only be done with modifications in the post template files
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/small-author-image-just-before-the-author-name-after-the-title-of-the-post/
Thanks
Hi,
What do you mean exactly by putting them in a block? The default reviews looks like in this post for example
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-why-tech-accelerators-may-soon-be-as-irrelevant-as-an-mba/
You can edit post templates with the composer, this is an option since the cloud library plugin was introduced a while back
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Using Cloud library templates the reviews are split into three different element, you can place them in any way possible in the post template
– https://www.screencast.com/t/QDN0mzGMP
Maybe this is what you want to do.
Thanks
Hi,
Using the standard theme panel ad system that is not possible. It could be a solution to use Cloud library single templates.
For example if you create/import a cloud post template
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Now you can enter the ad codes in the template itself, so those ads will be shown only in the posts that use that template
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ELMrkSxoA
Apply that template to posts in a category, and use the ads you want.
Or maybe use the Adrotate plugin, I believe that may have settings for something like that. Also many theme users recommend it, some info about it here
– http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-manage-ads-in-wordpress-with-adrotate-plugin/
– https://ajdg.solutions/manuals/adrotate-manuals/
Thanks
Hello,
Is it the hover effect you want removed? It seems you already managed to change the grid style. You can select different styles for your grids in the tagdiv composer
As for the reviews, you can use the cloud library template to import a custom post template and use the tagdiv composer to implement the reviews above the post content.
Here is an example of how you can edit post templates: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BC-gCCy80Gw
Thank you!
That will be the case, the template has to be created fully in the composer screen. There a sidebar can be created in either ways as mentioned. I can’t say if this will change in the future, I believe it will not but I could be mistaken.
You could duplicate it like this. Say you created a template as you want. Create a new template, choose the blank one for example
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Qu6oMrjF2Xx
Then save it. Open the cloud library section, click edit on both the empty template and the one you have created and want to modify
– https://www.screencast.com/t/C86QxpI3
Copy the content from the created template in the blank template and remember to rename it so you can easily identify it
– https://www.screencast.com/t/60ujvU3G
I downloaded the blank category template in the cloud library and created one my way. But the modules repeat the posts … I used flex block 1 and loop posts to create the template of the category, but the posts insist on appearing duplicates … as a palliative I used offset posts, but it does not always turn out well.
Exemple:
Let us know if you still face issues with the cloud library plugin.
Thank you!
hello,
in order to control the content shown on category pages, you will need to use the cloud library plugin to be able to edit the category template in the page builder.
As for featured articles please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/
If you do not have the featured category anymore you could have deleted it by mistake. You can simply create a category named: “Featured” and with a slug named “featured” so you can add posts to it to mark them as featured posts.
Thank you!
Hi,
Seems the image box as a widget does not have the same target blank setting as in the composer for example. I will add this on our list and it will be investigated. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Maybe you can use the composer to set the sidebar for the place you want. The tagDiv composer and cloud library plugin can be used to create post templates, category templates etc.
You could use this method and set image box with the composer, there will be a target blank setting.
Thanks
I followed the instruction here on https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
But it does not add new templates to the list as step 6 indicates.
what should i do?
Hello friends, I’m creating templates for categories using tagdiv composer and cloud library, but I’m having problems with duplicate posts. I do not know if I can activate Unique Articles in these templates, or if there is any other way to do this, can you help me?
Use the new single post templates from the cloud library and edit one of them as you want and assign it to the posts you want https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
I think the easy solution would be to have an ‘excerpt’ element in the single post template cloud library editor besides the ‘subtitle’ element. This element is now missing from the set for some reason. If we had it, it would be easy to build a custom single post template with the excerpt under the featured image.
(It is true, on newspaper sites it is somewhat a standard feature to have the excerpt as a ‘lead’ before the main article text — not always, some editors think that is old fashioned, some think it is a must — it varies from newsroom to newsroom).
