Hi,

You can move the author box anywhere in the post, with the cloud library plugin
https://www.screencast.com/t/20mdscAZmS5
Simply drag and drop it where you want it to appear. Post templates can now be created with the tagDiv composer. You can start from blank, or import from the templates made by us (more to come). The imported templates can be modified by you as well.

Some more about the cloud library plugin here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

Thanks

Dear Team,

Can’t activate both tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Cloud plugins after this new theme version 9.0.1.
tagDiv Cloud requires tagDiv Composer. But can’t activate “tagDiv Composer” plugin first.
It says, following error: (Screenshot: https://cl.ly/2w343P2L0q1a)

PLUGINS DISABLED AUTOMATICALLY

The following plugins were disabled because they are incompatible with this version of Newspaper:

tagDiv Composer

1) Followed the procedure mentioned in this page: (both manual and automatic install) https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-how-to-update-a-plugin/ – both not worked.
2) I’ve installed the latest version of your theme: Screenshot: https://cl.ly/3l0X1A3G0h16/o
3) I’ve installed the latest version of tagdiv composer plugin: https://cl.ly/3Z3l1r3E300B But can’t activate.

Please help.

Hello ouebflow,

Notice that you can try using the Single Template Library from our Cloud Template and use a Blank Single Template which can be customized by your desired using the TD Composer. Check the plugin documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

– Those issues could be caused by insufficient resources, the theme has some requirements. If there aren’t sufficient resources for example, there could be problems
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
It is very important that everything is set as mentioned in the guide, WP memory can be set higher if possible. Usually the hoisting provider can take care of the modifications where needed.

– The Revolution slider is a demanding plugin, the cause for it not appearing could be related. Once it is placed in a page and the page is saved and viewed, the slider should appear (it will not load in the page edit screen)
https://www.screencast.com/t/nTR3UXYRoZU

– Some footer templates come with predefined content, some are empty. Choose the one you want to use in the theme panel
https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
You can also use the Cloud footer templates – http://prntscr.com/kkpat9
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

– The header will be the same in the whole website, not by page. It will be displayed as you configure it. The unique things about each page is it’s content and the page template
https://www.screencast.com/t/XplVPginyw

– For previewing posts on difference view ports there would be no tool at the moment. Pages can be previewed in the composer, but posts don’t have such an option.
https://www.screencast.com/t/ZfnN0BN5WvU

– AMP posts will be served by Google only, they are accessible through Google search. If the user does not visit the website from there, the mobile theme variant will be displayed if active. So they can be both active at the same time mobile theme and AMP.

Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks

Hi,

With the cloud library you can design post templates, breadcrumbs are part of the post template in that case.
The row in which you place the breadcrumbs can be stretched if needed
https://www.screencast.com/t/c3RtTGpp
Also the breadcrumb text length limit can be customized
https://www.screencast.com/t/B8y7j6mt68FU

Other than this, the breadcrumbs would have no setting to stretch them like the header for example.

The tagDiv composer can be used to build post templates, not actual posts however. There is no limit to how many templates you can build, so you can build a template for each post if you want. Or re-use templates for multiple posts
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

Such buttons in the post content could be done with some CSS, this is somewhat of a quick example (not properly tested)
Initial buttons in post content – https://www.screencast.com/t/JTK0hwrBhtin
With a code – https://www.screencast.com/t/PnPl3V9T8J

Code used in example (it may or may not work properly, could be modified)

.td-post-content .td_btn {
float: left;
width: 30%;
margin-left: 10px;
margin-right: 10px;
margin-bottom: 26px;
text-align: center;
}

Hi,

Using Visual composer for posts is not recommended, it can be used if absolutely required however
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/

With the somewhat recent introduction of the cloud library plugin, the tagDiv composer can be used to create post templates, there are also many beautiful templates that can be imported
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

You could give the cloud library a try, you can have as many templates as you want (posts, categories, tags, authors and many others). In the updates to come the tagDiv composer and cloud plugin will receive many more new features.

Thanks

Hi There,

I was trying to change the lay out style using the pre made style in Flex block1. But it defaults to default layout and does not change the layout. Have a look at the screenshot here.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/102KpLH3zepHiu2UByXiiz23C-AsRQHRm/view?usp=sharing

I am using single row with 3 column

Td composer does not work with posts. If you want to create posts, use the visual composer that comes bundled with the theme (inside newspaper-tf>plugins folder) and disable td composer. TD composer can only create and edit post templates imported from the cloud library via the td cloud library plugin.

@Ryansmccain not yet. Only the ‘time ago’ feature has been added for the custom single post templates from the cloud library plugin.

Hi. Where are footer templates from the cloud library imported to? I imported a test one and I cannot find it. I want to delete it. Tried checking pages and cloud templates section but found nothing. Only seeing it from the footer page dropdown.

Install the tagdiv cloud library plugin from Newspaper>Plugins section (make sure you have the latest version of the theme installed v9.0.1). Import and edit a footer as shown here https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/. Then go to theme panel>footer>footer settings>footer page dropdown and select the footer from the list and save your settings. It should work sitewide.

Hello jesse,

Unfortunately, the theme does not have any such an option for this, sorry! You should check the theme core files if you want more additional customizations because we cannot provide something like this at the moment, sorry!
Notice that you can create your own Custom Category Page if you will use the Cloud Template Library with TD Composer. Please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello Faheem Hafeez,

You can edit your posts using the Cloud Template Library. Check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/

Thanks for the message!

I also reported this issue early on when the team introduced the tagdiv cloud library plugin and the custom post templates. Your solution would be either to revert to the default template you were using or you follow what @simion said. For my case, I decided to just give up the smart lists. But I am hoping the team will find a way to bring compatibility of old posts with smart lists to the custom post templates in future.

Dear Team,

I created a “Blank Tag Template” from cloud library. >>
and set it to Newspaper >> Template Setting >> Tag Template >>

Now the problem is on front-end when click to Exapl: Tag:”A” .. it suppose to show only posts that are Tagged with “A” : Like default “Tag Template” do.

But now when I click to any tag Exmpl:”A” it’s showing all the posts. No filter. It’s showing Tag: “A” “B” “C” all posts.

Is it problem with template or am I doing something wrong?

Kindly help.

Thanks

Kapil

Hello Desai,

You should create your own custom Single Template using the Cloud Library which allows you to use the TD Composer to add your desired elements. Please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/

Thanks.

Hi,

Ads in the cloud loop element are not possible at the moment. The cloud library loop element does not use the module you are referring to or share the same theme files. This would require you to modify the plugin files, the modifications will also be lost after an update.

This would be the loop file of the plugin, maybe you can modify this to display ads in it
https://www.screencast.com/t/yrT3506VGH8

Thanks

Hi,

That would require modifications to the cloud library plugin, more exactly here
https://www.screencast.com/t/5lALma5HI

Hi,

Maybe this is a misunderstanding. What padding do you want to modify exactly? AS Bogdan mentioned the rows have settings to stretch them for a wider layout. That is applicable in page and posts, with the tagDiv composer and cloud library plugin.

If this is not what you wanted to now, some more precise details would be most helpful, also some screenshots if possible (the website is is maintenance at the moment).
Depending on what exactly you want to do, CSS might be a solution.

Thanks

Hello,

I’m currently using module 10 for loop posts, categories, and tags. and I have set up in the loop.php that ads get display every 3, 6 and 9 posts. Here is the code that I’m using:

if (have_posts()) {
    while ( have_posts() ) : the_post();
    $adcounter++;
        echo $td_template_layout->layout_open_element();

        if (class_exists($td_module_class)) {
            $td_mod = new $td_module_class($post);
            echo $td_mod->render();

            if (is_category() or is_tag() or is_home() or is_archive()) {
              if ($adcounter ==3) {
                echo do_shortcode('[td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_3"]');
              }
            }
            if (is_category() or is_tag() or is_home() or is_archive()) {
              if ($adcounter ==6) {
                echo do_shortcode('[td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_2"]');
              }
            }
            if (is_category() or is_tag() or is_home() or is_archive()) {
              if ($adcounter ==9) {
                echo do_shortcode('[td_block_ad_box spot_id="custom_ad_2"]');
              }
            }
        } else {
            td_util::error(__FILE__, 'Missing module: ' . $td_module_class);
        }

        echo $td_template_layout->layout_close_element();
        $td_template_layout->layout_next();
    endwhile; //end loop
    echo $td_template_layout->close_all_tags();

} else {

This is working with no problem. My issue is when I create a category template using the cloud library and I add the loop posts, the categories pages don’t show the ads within 3,6 or 9 posts. Is there anything that I need to add on the code above?

Thank you for your time,
Juan

Hello,

If you want to increase the site width, you will have to use the tagdiv composer to stretch the row: https://www.screencast.com/t/HSx7N7mTQJ
For posts or other templates, you will need to use the cloud library plugin and import templates and edit the rows using the same tagdiv composer method.
There is no setting to only increase/decrease the padding.

Thank you!
