Hi, I have purchased this theme. Though this is an excellent theme, I would like to ask a few questions:
1. The date on top bar is not showing on mobile. How can I show date on mobile?
2. Though I can customize block-fonts by td composer, but I don’t see any font customizing option when I add a block in widget section.
3. When I add a featured image renamed in a different language other than English, the image is not showing in the post or media library.
Thanks.

Problem does occur when I create new pages and try to edit them with the composer. I deactivated all other plugins and problem remained.

Theme system status looks like this.

Hi,

I’m trying to change the ads on my site, only using normal banners, but somehow in the tagdiv composer i cannot change them.

First of all, i edited the content of the ads positions in the theme panel (mostly interested in the custom positions) and then i changed the option “Use adspot from:” in the element at the page.
But when i choose the custom position, it doesn’t show anything.
Also, i don’t see all the positions, i just see sidebar, custom_ad_1 to custom_ad_5.
What’s happening?

Thanks

Hi there,

I’m so glad I can go to someone for help. I’ve been having a lot of trouble trying to figure out to keep my font at George 14 (paragraph) and Georgia 24 (heading 1) when I writing a post. It’s taking me way too long to go back and manually adjust the font between the text and titles.

I have gone into the theme panel and went through the process of identifying those fonts in the Post Settings, but it doesn’t stick. Everything has been saved but when I go to write a post, it’s back where it was at Verdana 12.

Could someone please help me? I need to get faster at writing posts and this is really slowing me down.

(I had the Tag Div Composer installed but deactivated it to see if it would make a difference. Also had Google Fonts, Elementor, and Divi plugins which are all now deactivated).

In case it’s a plugin issue: This is what I have installed:

Akismet
Google Analytics
Jetpack
Monarch Plugin
Really Simple SSL
Really Simple SSL Pro
Tiny MCE Advanced
WP Total Cache
WP Custom Login Page Logo
WP Smush
Yoast SEO Premium

Thank you in advance!!

Hi,

The theme general width cannot be changed, it is predefined. It is not recommended to make any modifications to it, as this will most likely cause layout issues.
All the blocks and grids depend on this fixed width, their design will be damaged if it is modified.

There are row options in the composer to stretch them to predefined widths or full widths
https://www.screencast.com/t/RlJHQWPbpFHU
Also there are full big grids, which are always full width
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-1/
Header and footer can also be stretched as you mention
https://www.screencast.com/t/eDLhcqO6

But a general width setting for all the website pages is not available at the moment.

Thank you!

Currently there is no solution for that. If you used Visual composer on posts and the tagDiv composer is active there will be layout issues. It was never recommended to use Visual composer to create posts, and it is not recommended to have both composers active at the same time.

If you could provide a link to such a post where the issue is happening, maybe something could be done with CSS to stop the layout from breaking.

Is there a problem when you create new pages and try to edit theme with the composer? Try deactivating all other plugins (very important) except theme plugins and check if the issue is still happening.
Check the theme system status as well

Let us know the results.

Hello,

You can implement the image using a column text element. Add a column text element in the tagdiv composer and then use the add media button to add an image in the wysiwyg/tinymce editor like you would on posts: https://www.screencast.com/t/7O6cnt3aRF
Then it will resize properly on mobile devices.

Thank you!

Hi,

You can change that text to what you want, edit the page with the tagDiv composer and edit the block in question

Thanks

Hello,

If you do not use any builder, then you cannot have any load more pagination, as that is implemented through the builder. In order to remove the standard pagination, please change the page template: https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/ And then use the tagdiv composer to implement the pagination on blocks: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/

Thank you!

Hi,

The tagDiv composer does not have such an element at the moment. You could create a widget sidebar, place a tag cloud in it and use the widget sidebar element to display it on pages

Hi,

The tagDiv composer cannot be used on posts at the moment. So there would be no theme option to place blocks in the post pages.
There are plans to make changes in this matter in a coming update, these will consist in adding a significant amount of flexibility in building post pages, category pages etc.

Hi Simion,

Thanks for the references on this topic.

Can I get some information on which files should I modify if I want to modify the BLOCKS widget, or BLOCKS element on the TAGDIV composer? For example I want to modify or create my own modified block, where should I look in the theme files?

Really appreciate the help

Thanks!

How can I stop the sidebar from overlapping the content on blog posts? I’m using Visual Composer for the Blog Posts, and not TD Composer, but I use TD Composer to organize my Pages.

This is the only problem I’m running in to while having both plugins activated. If I make the post width 2/3+1/3 or 1/3+1/3+1/3, the post displays fine, but I’d rather not go through six years worth of content to change them all from full-width to 2/3+1/3.

Any advice (aside from telling me to choose TD Composer over Visual Composer) is appreciated. Thank you.

Since installing the last update, attempts to edit pages with TD Composer result in a 404 error. This worked fine before installing the update.

Attempted to resolve the problem by deactivating the TD theme and the plugins, deleting the plugins and then physically removed the folders from /themes/ and /plugins/ and then reinstalled the theme via FTP and let the theme pull in the TD Composer plugin during activation. I did this a couple times with no benefit.

Then swapped out all but the TD plugins and that didn’t help.

Suggestions for debugging? What more/better information do you need from me?

Hi,

There seem to be some visual problems with the composer sidebar. What browser are you using? We have tested the composer on Mac and Safari browser and did not encounter any problems similar to those
https://www.screencast.com/t/gQ4JpQGGqDD
Try disabling browser extensions and clear the browser cache. Also try with a different browser.

Thank you!

I have the following error when I start the TAGDIV Composer:

Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!

This error does not allow me to start working with the composer. 🙁

Is help available?

Simion C.

Hi,

That could be done with Visual composer as well. I have tried like this, but it could be achieved in different ways.
First I placed 2 rows in a page, the top row will have a background image/color, the second one will contain block 5 limited to 3 posts
https://www.screencast.com/t/NbFlYMDIR
https://www.screencast.com/t/YJversPKfz2
Then I set a negative margin in the bottom row
https://www.screencast.com/t/smqx4DOQ8K
The second row will be positioned over the first row with the background
https://www.screencast.com/t/tDphw89MO
You can make additional design or experiment with different methods based on this. You can also check how the travel demo design was made, in it’s stylesheet

Thanks

Hi, I’m editing the homepage with tagDiv Composer and trying to add a Cloud Tags but I don’t found this option. How can I do that? Thanks in advanced.

Simion C.

Update the theme plugins as well, they should update automatically but sometimes it fails. Deactivate and delete the old composer plugin and multi-purpose plugin
https://www.screencast.com/t/aJk3Bqqa
Then install it from the theme plugins section
https://www.screencast.com/t/RnuUnwYNXpD
Also if you by any change changed the theme name or you are using a child theme with a custom name, change them to default.

@raznawa
Those errors will be displayed when you have selected multi-purpose styles, then the multi-purpose plugin has been deactivated (is inactive). Activate it and there should be no more errors.

Let us know if there still is a problem.

Hi,

The website seems to be still loading when you attempt to use the mobile menu. The menu will be usable after the website loads. For me the website loads fully in a few seconds and the menu is usable
https://www.screencast.com/t/nLSnxKUGxsN
Test on a post page as well.

There seems to be a 404 on an image on the website. That image could be why the website is taking longer to load. Edit the homepage with the composer and remove the image set as background for this row (click on remove)
https://www.screencast.com/t/ixLBRac6Rve
https://www.screencast.com/t/9xOZOZQgI
Let us know if there is still a problem.

Thanks
