Hi Newspaper-Team,
I have bought the great theme newspaper 8 and setup a test website with the demo „beauty blog“.
Now I have some questions:
1. How can I enable the shadow of the header?
2. How can I edit the content of the „post-site“. The menu item „edit with TD composer“ is only shown, when I am on the startpage. So I can’t change the content of the „post-site“ with the TD composer!?
3. I want to show in the „post-site“ the same sidebar as it is shown on the startpage
4. I want to change the link-style in the post text. Where can I change it, that the link has a background color and another hover color?

All the content made with visual composer is loading boxed first, and then it turns to full width.

It always loads first the default theme font, and then it turns to the one I definded on the theme panel (the font is custom and I uploaded it trought the theme).
I just took a look at my site and discovered that it was migrated automatically from visual composer to tagdiv composer. On this forum I read that I had to do that by recreating the pages so how is that possible?
the page looks fine, can I delete the visual composer plugin?

When I set background, full force width doesn’t work except header and footer.
Is it possible to do full force width for specific row(container)?
I tried to change Row Stretch(to “stretch row and content”) on Tagdiv Composer but it doesn’t work.
It should have been all laid out for us – instead of a fancy sales video for new customers – you could have laid out for all of us current and paid customers what would crossover and what wouldn’t and if you were adding on something like “buttons” later – just tell us!!!!!! I just spent 6 HOURS on recreating buttons so no I’m not doing it again next week. You definitely should have made your composer work WITH VC – not against it.
And I wouldn’t have chosen today at all to make the switch if I’d known you were missing so many VC elements and were working on them.
You give us NO usable information for us to decide what to do with our businesses, time, customers – nothing. Seems like you could have handled this much better and actually considered your customer base.

I cannot specify an exact date, the theme update should be available as early as next week. There will be buttons available in the tagDiv composer with a considerable amount of customization options. Sorry if the present situation is creating an inconvenience.
You could try creating a button on pages if it is absolutely required at the moment, using the method mentioned above.

I’m not disabling plugins. That’s always the worst and most lazy answer you give. Not happening. Try again.
I can hover over linsk on any page/post on the entire site. I can do it in preview mode.
Now make it work on the front end of your composer. Simple – just make it work like it should.

Please try as a test to deactivate all plugins except theme plugins, and clear any caching installed. Then try the composer again, see if it works properly.
The system status looks right, but there are errors in the console. This way we can identify if a plugin is the cause. Let us know the results.

You can use a single image element or an image box element in the tagdiv composer.

If you want to achieve the same layout with this page you should use the TD Composer and add the following elements like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Tk96kYWLrhV Also, notice that you should install the Contact Form 7 plugins to add these fields.

The td composer will only work for pages, so posts are out of the question as a start.
You may be experiencing issues due to a plugin conflict. Please disable ALL other plugins besides td composer and switch to the main theme if you use a child theme. Then
test it on a brand new page (add new page)
If the issues you describe are also present on that new page without plugins please contact us on our email address at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to your site and wp-admin (login information and admin rights) so we can login and investigate. The equivalent is the same with this. As a suggestion, if you want to commute your builder elements from Visual Composer to TD Composer your should recreate your page with this builder (in this case – TD Composer) to avoid any errors. Please keep in mind that both of these two-page builders are fully tested with the latest version of the theme and should work as expected with it. It depends how you implement the sidebar. If it;s on a page, you will have to edit that particular page in the tagdiv composer and add or remove content like so: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
If not, please check the appearance->widgets section of wordpress for standard sidebars.

I need buttons as well. I’m actually losing money not having Buy Now buttons – mine also had font awesome icons associated with them so I need those as well. The VC doesn’t work with only the Tag Div composer and I don’t have that second line of the toolbar in your screencast. I need to go look for an html/css version I can use ASAP.
What is your date of offering buttons? Or making VC work WITH your composer? Or something other than…too bad we deleted it?
OK – I figured out what was causing my errors. But it’s something that needs to be fixed.
I use a lot of separators on my site. I also use a lot of shortcodes around the site. When using these codes on the site, here are the statuses:
[vc_separator] – fine
[vc_separator color="#5aa1e3" style="dashed" border_width="4"] – fine
However, I put the above code (the second line) in a shortcode called, “[contentblock id=separator-blue-dashed]”
And that’s when it breaks the front end. The blue line shows fine on the site but it breaks the whole front of composer and I can’t change anything else.
I use these shortcodes everywhere on the site – they’ve never been an issue anywhere else or with any other theme. Nor did they cause errors with VC. So it’s strictly limited to TDC.
If we can’t use simple shortcodes (which is necessary), how can we change, for example, the color of a line sitewide when we want to? I don’t want to format 1000 separators on the site individually – I want one place where I can edit and update them in a few seconds without breaking everything else. Thanks.
same here – was editing a page (for hours). Worked about 50 times saved. Then all of a sudden it didn’t work. Changed a few words in a Title with Text block – that’s it. Now I can’t edit anything on the page from the TagDiv composer.
Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!
Must be a better fix to this error. I see it has happened a lot – and doesn’t appear to be related to Yoast, SSL or other suggestions.
One of the hundreds of issues with it: when you are previewing a page, you can’t hover over links or images and see them (like any other page preview in WP) or click edit on a block to edit a specific post or use console or inspector or anything useful one uses when creating a web page. Basically, the whole thing is blocked out. Some of us need to be able to do this to work with a page/post. When can you fix this?

The demos are built with the tagDiv composer, this is the main page builder in the theme at the moment. You could consider using it for the website pages, the coming theme updates will bring many more elements, options and features for this composer only. This will begin as soon as the next pending update.
Alternatively you can keep using Visual composer if you wish, it will still be provided in the theme package.

In my category page, I use the Big Grid 1.
Problem is, it’s asking me to : Big grid 1 Please move this shortcode on a full row in order for it to work.
I’m NOT using any composer, just the options in the theme panel so I can’t modify anything. Any idea ?

Ignore the plugin update warnings. You will get the latest version of Visual Composer in the next theme update.
I am confused. Are the demo sites built with tagdiv?
If I install a demo site today, are you saying that I have to convert it immediately? Would it not be easier for you to redo the demo sites in tagdiv and just push it out to us?
The main reason I bought the theme was sothat I didn’t have to mess around..

I get this error on TD Composer’s live edit page “Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!” after first save of page.
Yoast SEO link setting disabled, even tried with disabling it.
WP Fastest cache disabled to test, also didn’t work.
What else can cause that error? SSL used in site but auto redirect to SSL site with .htaccess. WP and site URL are same and with https on general settings.
I have download “All files & documentation” and just found js_composer.zip, revolution_slider_5, td-composer.zip, td-social-counter.zip, td-speed-booster.zip. Where is the mobile plugin?

I have created a child them simply to add an additional td empty column area between the articles and the pagination on the Pagebuilder + latest articles + pagination template. I have this child the,me working but I cannot see where to replicate the code section to add the empty colum area which I can then customise with TD editor.
