Hi,
Try deactivating all other plugins except the tagDiv composer and clear any caching installed. Then create a new page and edit it with the composer. If there is still a problem, press F12 to access the browser inspector console and see if there are any errors, while trying to edit the page.

You can simply update the theme directly to the latest version. Please consider making a backup for your website just to be safe, and check the theme change-log

In the latest version, the tagDiv composer was introduced. This editor is activated by default, and in some cases involving Visual composer elements there might be layout issues (if this is the case deactivate the tagDiv composer plugin)

Please go to your plugins section and deactivate the tagDiv composer. The website should display just like before. In some cases, Visual composer elements may not display properly when both editors are active. The newly introduced front-end page editor is activated by default when the theme is active

Two questions:
1. Do I have to install and activate WPBakery Visual Composer? I have a brand new site and I am just getting started using the theme and was planning on just using TD Composer.
2. I installed a demo. When I go to my “Home — Front Page” page and choose Edit with TD Composer I see the left side bar where it says Add Element, but the right side is just all white, the page is not showing up. How do I fix that?

Hi, I am trying to make it so that in tablet portrait view two elements on my website go from a 2/3+1/3 Column format to being one on top of the other.
I can’t seem to make this work on Visual Composer, See attached for the current setup and what I am trying to achieve on Tablet Portrait view.
When i click on TD Composer on the frontend of homepage, i’ll i get is a grey background with spinning wheel. But in the admin page for edit page for home, it works fine?
So even in the demo pages installed by the theme, the contact form is 2/3 of the row and the other 1/3 of the row is Blocks. However its not displaying like that, everything is full width. This is happening on multiple pages even on the Newspaper demo pages. Please help

ANY MAJOR THEME UPGRADE IS LIKE INSTALLING A NEW THEME; IT IS NOT JUST A BUG/FEATURE UPDATE. RTFM BEFORE UPGRADING THEMES TO MAJOR VERSIONS; DON’T UPGRADE THEMES DURING MISSION CRITICAL AD CAMPAIGNS.

After upgrading to Newspaper 8 and, yes, upgrading to Visual Composer 5.2 I no longer have block formats on my page layouts. The blocks have converted to code and I can’t recreate the block format as they don’t appear as optional elements. If this is related to VC5.2 how can I get rid of it and install the version included in the Newspaper package. Thanks, John
Cause Newspaper 8 theme update has screw the previous visual composer layout,can anyone provide newspaper 7 theme file that i can downgrade and restore the original layout?
I was testing a custom ad block on the front page but after removing the block with the tagdiv composer and deleting the code in the theme panel the ads are still appearing. Any ideas how to fix this?

Ok, so I’ve tested both:
'category__not_in' => '2',
and
'category__not_in' =>array(category id goes here),
both with and without Visual Composer and TagDiv Composer but with no real luck…
I am currently running the latest version of Visual Composer and TagDiv Composer bundled with Newspaper 8 ver 1.0.
Have I got any other options I could try?

On a default theme install, using only the plugins included in the theme package,there is no problem using the tagDiv composer. Both in terms of speed and design or display.
This can be caused by not having the system status as mentioned in the guide provided by Bogdan

Or maybe a plugin conflict. Try testing with all other plugins deactivated, and also clear your cache after you disable them. See if there is any effect after doing this, and let us know if you still have problems.
