All of a sudden Visual Composer dissapeared on all post admin pages [so no interface]. This seems to happen every once and a while. Last time we were told to update both the theme and the visual composer plugin that came with the updated theme… to no avail. Please help and is their a permanent solution for this issue?
Also, when I install the Travel demo content the first row shows this (with a real image URL):

Seems like there is some custom embedded CSS that is not accessible via Visual Composer.

I have inspected your website and now, your website on mobile seems to work as expected. Also, I have noticed that you have some errors in your console which might come from your untested plugins used with the theme. I saw that you are using the Jetpack plugin, especially Photon module of it which is a problematic plugin, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/bsz1LXrS7RJF You should remove all of the untested plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins.
Clear all your caches and check the results. If the problem is still there, you should make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core files and rule out any conflicting plugins.

The activation message can be ignored as the free bundled version of the plugin cannot be activated. Only purchased copies of visual composer can be activated. This is mentioned here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/

Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

I’ve had this problem for a while. When I open a new page and say I add any element, say Big Grid1, configure it and hit save. If I decide to go back and change the setting VC pops open the vc Row Settings with some code in it. I cannot edit the element anymore from there. Better yet If I actually save/publish the page it will then add arbitrary text boxes. I have tried uninstalling vc, it’s up to date in fact I have a license for it and the theme is up to date. I have also tried deactivating everything but vc with no luck. Can you guys shed some light on this. This a great theme I would like to continue using but with the inability to create and edit new pages it doesn’t do me much good.

Hello, I have been using Shim plugin instead of Visual Composer due to the stress it causes on the server on NewsMag. I have been interested in switching my theme over to Newspaper and wanted to see if the Shim plugin actually works with Newspaper 7…I think I read that the new BETA plugin they stopped working on due to errors, so I don’t think that’s an option.
Bad start already guys unfortunately.
Downloaded the newspaper theme 30 minutes ago and set everything up.
The visual composer plugin is giving me an error message when i try to download it says “error destination folder already exists”
Should i delete the “destination folder” or will that give me a lot of problems, what options do i have here guys.

What you have created in the respective page seems quite complicated, and also you have used elements that are not available in Visual composer by default. I don’t understand exactly how you would like it to look on desktop and mobile. I see that you also have some custom code on the elements – https://www.screencast.com/t/7Dl4dWbN8bK and there is an empty element present as well from what I can tell

Maybe you should try to recreate this page and keep it as simple as possible, and not over complicate things, that would be best. Please let me know how I can assist you further.

It seems that the images inside the gallery are not displaying properly. If you could provide a link to your website where the issue is happening, I will inspect it. You could try as a test to disable all your plugins except Visual composer and the plugins bundled with the theme, clear any caching installed and see if this has any effect on the problem. Also check any custom code you might have entered in the theme panel, or modifications made directly to the theme files.

I have used visual composer to set up page. But today, when I come back to edit some items, I can not find the visual composer I have done, the visual composer for that page is totally blank. So I don’t know how to adjust.

Since this morning the interface of visual composer is no longer available in the pages and articles. I have modified nothing and I have verified that the extension is active and the confguration is active on the pages and the articles. I do not understand ? Thank you for your help. For info I have the latest version of WP and the latest version of the newspaper theme.

There is no extra requirement, except for not using it together with visual composer for the moment. There could be a plugin conflict on your end though preventing the composer from working properly. Please disable all plugins except tagdviv composer and clear all caching. Then test the composer again.

You do not need to create a page template to show the tags. You can simply create a page with a few buttons on it added in visual composer and link them to the tag page for each tag in particular.
You can also add blocks to your page if you want to show posts from that specific tag using the block settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/

The options may seem to be bad but unfortunately this step must be taken. I suggest a different approach though. Do not disable them one by one but rather disable all of the plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme. Then test the site without plugins or modifications and see if the problem goes away. Once you see the problem is gone, enable them one by one testing the site after each plugin you enable in order to identify the one that causes the issue.
