Hello orlando,
We will release as soon as possible an update for Newsmag with the latest version of Visual Composer (v.5.1).
Thanks for your understnading!
Hello,
If you use wordfence, please set the firewall on learning mode first.
Then increase your system status parameters like so: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
If this still does not fix it, please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hello,
Sorry but still no go. The site cannot be reached. I have tried from my mobile device using the mobile data so the ISP was different but the site still cannot be reached. You maybe have a country block maybe. We are located in Romania.
Regarding your issue with comments, please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hi,
@zetacomunicacion Please make sure you have the latest version of the social counter plugin provided with theme package and also Visual composer. After you update these plugins, try deactivating all other plugins, clear any installed cache (very important) and check to see if the problem is resolved. Here is a guide to help you update Visual composer
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thanks
Hi,
You could try to follow the suggestion Bogdan provided in a similar topic – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/random-related-posts-from-other-categorys/ and use Visual composer on posts to create a block with the desired filters.
Or you can make modifications to the theme files as suggested in this topic – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/related-articles-3/ to display posts only from specific categories.
Thanks
I guess my point was, theme devs not going to make the theme mobile plugin setup for AMP, as this would introduce giant amount of support for people who don’t understand AMP or how it works.
For example the mobile plugin could support non https, and support javascript, and various things which AMP does not support, ad units, TagDiv API, speed booster hooks, etc.
It would be NICE if they had an AMP plugin that works like the mobile plugin, as separate paid product, perhaps, which could replace the one included with theme with specific guidelines on what it does and can never do. Two totally different things.
Making ONE mobile plugin for theme that worked for both mobile/noAMP and mobile/AMP would add huge amount of code bloat, also possible issues with adding the AMP end-points and hooks and all sorts of bizarro potential issues with folks who can’t even clear their caching when updating.
“In a perfect world…” sure, would be nice. But unlikely to happen anytime soon.
Frankly, I believe the “back end” skunkworks plan is more focused on developing a replacement for Visual Composer for their “ION” version and doing sideways dev on that which can be sold outside of ThemeForest as traditional foundry method (“direct sale”).
I got what you were saying about “wouldn’t it be nice if …” — I was just pointing out wasn’t going to happen based on working with them for 3+ years here.
The support overhead for that would be insurmountable from a business case standpoint. Look at all the issues with Facebook (“why doesn’t my photo show up…” or “why isn’t my views incrementing…” “why do I need a Facebook account to use the FB widget …” etc.). So, experienced devs already moving on making their own solution based on the available tools; newbies already confused by what AMP is, and unlikely to get the issues with search/replace of inline styles, ad unit custom inserts, etc.
It’s awesome we have so many active folk here actually “into” this stuff.
My opinions are only my own, so take all with grain of salt — sure you were doing that anyway 😉
But again, to get on with your life you really should consider this the way forward:
a) desktop > theme CSS (main URL)
b-1) mobile > theme CSS responsive (main URL)
b-2) mobile > theme plugin/CSS mobile (optional) with custom settings (main URL)
c) mobile > AMP compatible > AMP plugin + custom template (AMP endpoint)
You can only have 3 of the 4 options as it stands.
In our case we do a, b-1, c.
What you were wanting was a, b-2 – where b-2 has multi-thread option based on visitor including redirect to AMP endpoint vs normal URL.
Betcha box of gingerbread cookies you will have an eternal wait on that!
I talked to the creators of visual composer because my version won’t update and now causing issues. This is what they stated:
“The product license tab at your end is disabled by the theme author using vc_set_as_theme. You can get in touch with him and get rid of the above code from the theme to get it back. Once done, you can activate the license as per: https://vc.wpbakery.com/video-academy/install-visual-composer-plugin-wordpress/ to access auto-updates.”
Can you guys assist?
I just purchased and installed the newspaper theme.
I am going through the setup process, and when I get to the plugin installation for visual composer, (required) I get a message that says: “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”
I am the only admin for the page. I can’t move forward with the installation without this plugin. I tried to install visual composer directly through the plugin section, but there was nothing that matched that name exactly.
I am not a techie. Please let me know what my options are.
Hi,
I wanted to know if I can update WPBakery Visual Composer 5.0.1, the latest version 5.1,
if your thema Newsmag v.3.3 works well with latest version of WPBakery Visual Composer.
Waiting for your news about, good job
We’re experiencing 100% CPU load followed by a HTTP 503 error for a couple of minutes when doing either of the following operations:
– Saving a Visual Composer page
– Viewing “Backend editor” of a Visual Composer page
Disabling WordPress Heartbeat reduces the load a bit.
This worked fined before we migrated our site to a new web host.
We’ve removed all plugins, adding one after one to determine the culprit, and Visual composer seems to be the cause.
When contacting our web host we were told to contact the author of the plugin.
Any suggestions on how to proceed?
Thanks!
Ok. I update my Visual Composer but I have still my trouble.
I send to you and email.
Thanks.
Hello lucas72,
Unfortunately, our theme has not been designed to use 5 columns, sorry! Please check here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Xbe8EehxFj and there you will see our restrictions. For more information about how you can use Visual Composer, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-use-visual-composer/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
Please make sure you have the latest version of the social counter plugin, provided in the theme package. Enter just the Instagram user ID as shown in the previous reply – https://www.screencast.com/t/C1k7axsis2 disable all your plugins except Visual composer and the social counter, switch to the main theme if you are using a child theme, clear your cache again then check to see if it works properly. After you have done all these things, there should not be a reason for the social counter to not work properly, because it seems to work as intended on my end – https://www.screencast.com/t/gvmBGYzz
Thanks
Hi,
I can not think of a possible cause for this if all those settings are enabled in WordPress and in the post settings page – https://www.screencast.com/t/4OS2oxxUM and it is still not removed. Maybe this is caused by a plugin, you could try disabling all your plugins except Visual composer and clear any caching installed to see if this has any effect in this matter. This is unusual because I see that there is the possibility to post comments even though this issue is present.
Thanks
Hi,
This could be caused by a plugin maybe, or custom code entered in theme panel or added to the theme files. You could try as a test to disable all your plugins except Visual composer, clear any caching installed and check to see if the problem is fixed. Also go over any custom code you may have used. If you can not find the source of this issue you could try this code for a quick fix – https://www.screencast.com/t/OVgSvguWra9k – https://www.screencast.com/t/enik2Hil8wfs
.td_block_template_9
.td-block-title {
margin-top: 0;
}
Thanks
Hello,
This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Also make sure you increase your system status parameters like so: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thank you!

Hi,
You can update Visual composer using this guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ and use the latest version provided within the theme package.
I can see that the problem you were having has been resolved – https://www.screencast.com/t/HHB14peM7
Thanks
Hi,
From what I can see when inspecting your website – https://www.screencast.com/t/RWxF5Tgg you have an older version of Visual composer. Try updating the plugin to the latest version from the theme package – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Please note that you should update all the plugins provided with the theme along with the theme update for better functionality.
If you still have this issue please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information and FTP access. Also paste a link to this topic for identification purposes.

Hi
When I view the two galleries (links are in my first post) on smartphones the slider works fine until a certain picture is reached.
– tested with LG and Sony
– gallery –> normal view, not full size
– using the slider with my finger
In one case the problems start with picture 14 of 25. If picture 14 is reached, it suddenly goes very slow from right to left and this happens with most of the pictures which are following.
Screenshot: http://prnt.sc/epjuk9
In the second gallery the problems start with picture 26 of 48. If picture 26 is reached, it suddenly goes very slow from right to left and this happens with most of the pictures which are following.

Hi, when I click on ‘Get access token’ after having created my app and entered the FB app ID and security key in the correct fields (visual composer as well as widget), a red message pops up saying ‘please wait…’ and it never resolves itself. Can you help please?

Dear tagdiv;
I have never install visual composer. İ use only super cache plugin.
I have sent mail to you about login now. You can check my settings. Thank you so much. See you
I understand. What do I do to update Visual Composer?
Hello Web_Piri,
First of all, if you are using some untested plugins, please try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule any conflicting plugins.
If the problem is still there after this, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can further inspect it closer your setup page.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
The default theme mega menu implementation without any modifications works properly. In your case I can see that the mega menu is not working as intended at the moment. I suggest you try disabling all your plugins except Visual composer and clear any caching installed, maybe some plugins are causing this issue. If the problem is still there and you ruled out the plugins, it means that modifications to the theme files are the cause. You could try to go over them and check for any mistakes or oversights if you have made any changes to the files.
The last step is to reinstall the theme, use only the plugins bundled with the theme and then everything should be displaying properly.
Thanks
