Hi
Sorry for this inconvenince!
We will release a package with the fix for javascript file and it will also contain the new version of Visual Composer plugin. We try to make the update as soon as possible but we need some time to test it.
Thanks for your understanding!
WPBakery (Visual Composer) has released version 4.11.2 this morning and it fixes all issues related to WP 4.5. I installed it with the Newspaper theme and it works fine
Hi guys,
I have tried several things:
– Re-installed wordpress
– Deleted theme + plugins and re-installed them
– Deleted cache
– Etc..
But I can’t get Visual Composer working with the Newsmag theme. It has worked in the past.
I get with F12 this error: Uncaught TypeError: $template.get is not a function
What can I do? I need to upgrade our frontpage (www.biblword.net). This a page is use as a frontpage, and the page is build (long time ago) with visual composer.
Can someone please help me?
Hello Socialfeed,
If you want to have this element in your homepage, you have to use Block 4 from Visual Composer. For more information about our blocks, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/
Thank you for the message!
HI
@Syambarkah Just replace the old line with new one, clear the cache memory, deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer then test again.
@AWAY FROM LIFE make sure you don’t use Speed Booster plugin, also deactivate all others plugins except Visual Composer then test again.
We do our best to solve this issue and an update will be released in shortest time.
Thanks for your understanding.
Hi
Sorry for this inconveniences.
This issue it’s caused by a jQuery conflict which affect the theme after latest wp update. We will release a new update in shortest time with all require fixes. Meanwhile leave the lazy load animation inactive or try to add this line of code in tagdiv_theme.js file as a temporary fix: http://screencast.com/t/Ur4jw4L6Z8
jQuery("a[href*='#']").click(function(e) {
Just replace the old line with new one, clear the cache memory, deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer then test again.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi
Have you tried to add the above code in tagdiv_theme.js file and the problem is still there? Just replace the old line with new one, clear the cache memory, deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer then test again.
Thanks!
Hey,
on my website (www.awayfromlife.com / en.awayfromlife.com) my site broke. The smart sidebar don’t work and the picture are not show. Also the visual composer don’t work. What can I do?
Thank you!
Hi,
We made tests with WP4.5 and Visual Composer 4.11.1 and we didn’t notice any issues.
I refer to the new tests, we are waiting for Visual Composer version 4.11.2. The plugin developer announced it but the plugin is not available yet. I guess it was uploaded and it’s waiting for Envato approval. There are a lot of messages on the plugin support page and that’s why we don’t want to hurry and we tried to provide a quick fix for this and also 4.11.1 version on email.
Our initial plan was to release a theme update and include 4.11.1 but after we noticed that they announced 4.11.2 we decided to wait. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and we will try to find a solution for this. Also paste a link to this ticket.
Thanks!

Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test again. If the problem persist deactivate lazy load animation from theme panel > template settings: http://screencast.com/t/y8CTxGuyMMu
Thanks!

Hi Chris,
Yes, you are right the latest version of Newsmag theme contains Visual Composer 4.9 and this creates issues on backend, you cannot edit the page. You can update to the 4.11 version as it works properly and also please make this change in the code – http://screencast.com/t/QeNhZNbdmCvk
If you(or other users) don’t have Visual Composer 4.11 please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and we will provide it until we release the theme update.
We will make some tests during the day and we will release an update as soon as possible.
Thanks!

Hello imrantareen26,
I have checked your website and I did not saw any issues in this regard -> http://screencast.com/t/Oy9vGxzIys Please provide some useful screenshots so I can identify the problem if it is. Also, try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.
Thank you for the message!
Hi,
There seems to be a problem with visual composer and the latest version of WP. We will wait for visual composer to fix the issues and we will provide the update as soon as possible.
It’s best to hold on a bit when wordpress updates as plugins and themes need to adapt to the new version.
Thank you!
PS: try to update the theme and visual composer to the latest version (newspaper 6.7 and VC 4.11)

Hi,
Visual composer did not break on our end on newspaper but more and more people complain about the visual composer issue so it’s best to hold on to the new update for WP for the time being until the VC author releases a fix.
Thank you!
Hello tollywoodfans,
I have checked your website and I saw that you have some errors in your console, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/ngmW8JEIcJ Also, I noticed that you are using some untested plugins into your website which could cause the js.errors Please try to remove all your plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for the message!
Hi,
The settings you ask about actually come from the theme and not visual composer as content blocks are created by us so you do not need visual composer support, but theme support :).
Unfortunately the block settings will not filter custom post types with custom taxonomies. The content blocks were created with the standard post type and taxonomy in mind.
I ran a few tests with WPDownload Manager. You can filter the post types themselves and select the ones you want to display inside a block by the post id: http://screencast.com/t/82g7yT4Su, but unfortunately you cannot use the category filter as it will not accept the custom taxonomy. You can filter the post type manually though on each block.
Hope this helps.
Thanks
There is another option in the theme panel needed for the popular 7 filter: http://screencast.com/t/s2srmdtby
Also try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files to rule out a plugin conflict. Then check the views again.
Thanks.
Hi,
Please make sure you meet the requirements for newspaper: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Also check your system status parameters: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You might also try it without any plugins to rule out a plugin conflict. Disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn. Then try to save a post again.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
Hi.
my VC was broken at WP 4.5
people says VC 4.11 works.
but I cant find VC 4.11 in my Newsmag theme plugins.
I need 4.11 newest VC.
newspaper support 4.11 but not newsmag
newsmag is bad?
Hello benj0612,
Unfortunately, this kind of plugin is not tested with our theme and we have no idea about the behaviour of the theme with this plugin. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. It is possible that this plugin to interfere with the theme and cause this kind of issue for your backend and in this case you have to disable and try to find another alternative in this case.
Please try this advice and if your problem is still there after this, please let us know.
Thank you for your understanding!
Please try to disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. This should rule out a plugin conflict that could interfere with the count. If this does not do it, please provide an example of such a post that does not increment it’s count.
Thank you!
Probably not. Looks like there are some issues, including possible conflict with v4.11 of Visual Composer.
You may wish to hold off — or, if you know how to do full backup so you can “roll back” if it doesn’t work, then proceed with caution!
Hi all,
When I try to edit my front page, the box to make changes to the page has disappeared! Check this out: http://imgur.com/I3puYSV?
Is this a Visual Composer issue? Perhaps related to the new WordPress update? How do I fix this?
