EDIT: What I noticed is when I go into a page to edit it, the element is no longer a visual composer element but now text–the block now assumes its just a text block. I need to figure out how to get them recognized back as com poser elements–at least that is what it appears to be. Note in the screencap below the first block is the original showing it thinks its just text, and the second block is a new, added element I just put in:

Thoughts? BTW, are amny of you folks actual support or just being nice by helping?

I am receiving the same error, even after updating everything, uninstalling VC I am no longer able to upload new plugins

What should I do?

First try deactivating and activating visual composer. If it do not help then do this:

Install plugin wp-optimize. But first make backup of your website. Then run wp optimize and while optimizing wp with it make sure u clear ‘transient’ options too. That proces should clear all cached db queries and optimize your database. http://prntscr.com/96lcvt

Thanks for the advice, i tried turning off all plugins except WPBakery Visual composer (VErsion 4.8.1).

Still same effect.

I am pretty sure I did not change functions.php….thanks for all suggestions so far.

Seems like composer is not activated. Like he is not there at all.
Try disabling all plugins, and make sure you have no modifications in functions.php.
Something is wrong with you site. The theme works fine on clean installation of wp.

The only thing that breaks the theme is td-api plugin bringing WSOD.

You should deactivate all plugins except v. composer.

EDIT: I was able to update visual composer using the latest theme but the theme is still broken. Thanks.

Unfortunately I did not find a way to enable the visual composer on only that post. As with the advertisement I do not like the idea of changing the entire website’s foundation for this single posts.

Maybe I should try to externalize the script in a .js file. Will that work? I have never done this but I imagine that removes the need for the visual composer, right?

On the homepage – in the area by more articles – there is the calendar in the widget. In that widget it places once as expected.

However, when the code is placed in the Home Page using the HTML Visual Composer box the calendar gets placed twice right on top of each other.

Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test again. If the problem persist try this css in theme panel > custom css:

I’ve test the article inline ad functionality on my side and works fine, the link it’s applied only for the ad, not for the text below. I am not sure why this issue occur but you can try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test again.
