the plugin it’s still a bit messy but after we finish the new Newspaper I will make it much better. All the shortcodes that are supported now are with minimal support 🙁 (ex: no designer tab support yet / no custom visual composer css support).

@Chris … do you want a beta version of Newspaper? Let me know and I will sent it via email.

Hi Chris, the original code does not work for the shim style because I’m using another id for the css (td-vc-composer-css-shim)

Here is the code that will remove the css form js composer and also from my shim on single pages.

@LFLizmark Regarding your first issue with images not displaying please provide your site’s url or admin credentials so we can have a closer look as I’m not sure what your issue could be if regenerating thumbnails wasn’t helping, you could also try to empty all caches and test without any plugins active, leave just the Visual Composer plugin active.

For organizing your images I suggest you follow Chris’s advises and try to find a plugin that can help you.

@nf_prt Starting with the next version of the newspaper theme ( newspaper 5 ) the theme will have panel thumbs option section (similar to the one that is already available in newsmag theme, that if you are using it) from which you can decide which modules you want to sue and disable the thumbs that you don’t need. Then regenerate thumbnails with a plugin like force regenerate thumbs or a similar one you can delete all thumbs and generate only those needed.

Please make sure that you also try this without using additional plugins, leave just theme’s Visual Composer and Social Counter plugin’s active and make sure you also empty all caches. If you are using a cache plugin like W3 Total Cache plugin use just page cache: https://forum.tagdiv.com/w3-total-cache-configuration/ then test again.

Unfortunately if that plugin doesn’t have shortcode or html code to paste it in the page content I’m afraid that it would not be possible. So if it can be used only as a widget you cannot add it using Visual Composer in the page content.

Please disable all plugins leave just Visual Composer active, clear cache and purge your files if you use CDN, also please disable all css/js minification and check again if you still have this issue. Not sure why you have this issue. I also checked this with latest theme version and did not found any issues. Please check this without any plugins active, leave only Visual Composer active, clear cache and check again. Also make sure that you don’t use any special characters on the sidebar’s name as we have some reports about this, when a block is added in a custom sidebar disappears.

Also you can check this without any plugins active except of Visual Composer and clear cache.
You can activate the theme also on your test site and when you change to your main website you can use the same code. Envato specifies that each theme can be used for one product (site): http://themeforest.net/licenses/standard but you can use on multiple test sites. If you want to use it on multiple sites/domains you’d have to buy a license for each project.

You can update the theme like it is specified in our documentation, unfortunately Visual Composer can be updated only manually as the plugin comes with the theme’s files and you can’t update it directly from the it’s producer.
