Hi,
You use a template with latest article and that template is with latest posts with pagination.
You need to do that infinite scroll on a block(infinite load are available on blocks in Page builder). Edit you homepage, select as template Homepage - bg - no article list and with page builder you need to create something like this: http://screencast.com/t/itod8bCfVVN
http://screencast.com/t/feqvh8YHBF
Also I see that you don’t have activated the Visual composer on your site. You need to activate it if you want to work the Visual composer(Page builder)
Thanks for the message!
Hey Lucian,
I’ve read up on a whole lot of the infinite scroll archives but can’t figure it out.
I have the visual composer activated. I want to have the infinite scroll on only my homepage. Homepage + BG + Latest Articles template is enabled. The other options are as shown here http://screencast.com/t/wHJdcfbi if needed.
Where do I go about activating this?
*Also, once activated, does it track each load as a page view?
Thanks in advance,
Kris

sbo. Reason: PS. the title of this post needs to change. This theme is awesome and does look like demo. (Just saying) :)
The old version of the theme had VC integrated and was not a separate plugin. So only way to update was to move to newer version of theme. Current version of theme has VC as separate plugin so that people can customize it.
It’s worth it to make the move to newer theme version … speaking as somebody who got aboard the train last Fall (2013). 🙂
My Visual Customizer doesn’t work.
Do I have to update my Visual Composer?
If yes, my problem is that I have Customized the theme and if I update, it will be lost.
unfortunately I am running the theme in version 1.7 🙁
I tried to install the Visual Composer plugin, but get this error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare wpb_getImageBySize() (previously declared in /var/www/vhosts/theinspiration.com/httpdocs/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/wpbakery/js_composer/composer/lib/helpers.php:15) in /var/www/vhosts/theinspiration.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/helpers/helpers.php on line 67
Is it possible to make an Patch update and only update this part of the theme?
Thanks.
Daniel

Thanks Christopher we will try to add this as you said it will help us at support, we will talk about this.
Have a nice day!
Hi,
Please check to see if the visual composer plugin is activated and also if you have prperly instaled it like here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/, the lines of code appear on your front page due to visual composer plugin.
Thanks
Lucian.
I think you folks should start adding a FAQs section for these questions which pop up every week or two. That would make it easier to manage support, but also for those of us who pop in to see any breaking issue, fixes, problems, etc., to not have to scan through the same 10 questions which come up over and over (and over). Nothing against anybody for asking questions or seeking help, but after about the 40th time this has been answered having a top 10 frequently asked questions page/post might be helpful to all.
1. update to visual composer message
2. how to add author name to posts
3. etc.
(I don’t actually have a list in mind at the moment …. since I was away a bit during May/June due to illness …. but you get the idea).
🙂

Hi,
The theme includes a license for this plugin so you don’t have to buy it. You don’t have to worry about the plugin update warnings it will be updated in the next theme update.
Thanks
Good morning. I’m writing you to ask about Visual Composer Plugin. WordPress admin panel shows a notice telling that there is an update available, but it is necessary to know the Visual Composer License Key in order to get it. So my question is, the plugin is supposed to going to be updated in the next Newspaper update or are we supposed to buy the plugin to get access to new updates?.
Thanks in advance.
Thats an option in the theme panel, see here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-hide-the-featured-image-on-post/
But I’m missing th option to turn this feauture on/off for an individual article.
Example: I want to use the feauture image global and I want to use the “visual composer slider carousel gallery”. 🙁

I am using version 3.9.2 of the theme and the plugin is Version 4.2.3.
I found that I had another plugin from a previous wordpress theme installation called page builder that was causing the conflict. I’ll continue testing and if I find any other issues I will email you. Thank you!
Hi,
I’ve tested the latest version with an Author user and works fine for me to create posts, no issue. From which version you have updated the theme? Please make sure you update the theme and also the VC plugin correctly like here:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme/
Can you try to disable other plugin and see if works, but leave the VC active.
If nothing works can you provide us access to your WP and also FTP access to track the issue?
Send the details via email at contact@tagdiv.com
Thanks for the message!
I have several authors on my blog, and since the last update none of them can go to add a new post in the WordPress Dashboard. It simply comes up to a blank screen. If I disable the plugin, they can post just fine, but then my pages won’t work. Under User groups access rules – all the the selections are checkmarked. If I try to uncheck them and then go to add a new post, I get a weird messages that says “cheatin huh?” Please help, I have a team of 10 writers and I am the only one who can log in and post blogs. If you need more information, just let me know.
Thanks,

https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
Also try this, add define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '128M'); in wp-config.php file
If nothing works can you give us access to your WP?, send us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and also if you can give us FTP access so we can take a look, specify the issue or send an URL to this topic.
Thanks
Thanks! This allows me to do what I want.

Check around the 3.7 update. Visual Composer was removed as a build-in and changed to a plugin within Newspaper. The normal update process does not apply. As mentioned here https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/visual-composer-stop-working-after-update-to-latest-newspaper-version-3-8-1/
ok WPBakery Visual Composer run,ok
Hi Lucian
WPBakery Visual Composer not active ,how to do?
@mbasche
thanks so much. Worked perfectly. For some reason my fragile little mind couldn’t work out the syntax on that, even though I have various other things removed/blocked/optimized in my functions.php file, as per usual. 🙂
I think I had been putting in visual-composer vs visual_composer, which is ultra dumb on my part. Doh.
THANK YOU!!! 🙂
put the following code in your functions.php:
add_action('init', 'myoverride', 100);
function myoverride() {
remove_action('wp_head', array(visual_composer(), 'addMetaData'));
}
Hi, folks
what is the best way to remove this generator tag; we don’t like to advertise to hackers what tech we’re using on our site(s):
<meta name="generator" content="Powered by Visual Composer - drag and drop page builder for WordPress."/>
The usual “remove” stuff I put in functions.php doesn’t seem to work on that.
Thanks 🙂
If you’re using Internet Explorer (e.g., IE11/Win7-64), you will get spinning squares of doom with some save actions. Some weirdo issue with java/ajax and IE. Try using Chrome, Safari, or Firefox (depending on platform).
With Firefox, I’ve also seen issues with oddball customizations that use Java/Ajax or something and conflict with the browser doing things on ALL web pages.
That may not apply to you, but it’s been my consistent issue with WP the past couple of years with a number of themes using Virtual Composer.
I’m sure you’ve already tried things like clearing cache, etc.
Hi,
sure. You can look at one of our oooooold sites currently being “rehabilitated” using this theme, as a work in progress — it has been in Google news since they launched. We switched over from our in-house WP theme to Newspaper end of last year (time flies!).
http://PublishersNewswire.com
(NOTE: above site is several versions of theme back, when the visual composer was still built in; I was sick most of May and June with a high blood sugar, onset diabetes issue **sigh** and so I am waaaay behind on things since May. Slowly catching up. That is ALSO why you don’t see a visual composer home page setup there at the moment …. I got sick right when about to do that.)
