Hi,
In case you want to have this functionality https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_podcasts/ and this one https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_video_news_pro/, then you need to use video and audio formats for your articles, set the links for video or audio, and the featured image will be transformed into video/audio, as mentioned in the demos. Also, on your websites, you should use flex blocks to have the audio/video icon displayed. https://i.imgur.com/zceMuk7.png
Also, you can import from cloud the blocks you like for audio and video format and just adjust them using tagDiv Composer
Thank you!
Hi I am running NewsMag
Theme version: 5.4.3.3
PHP Version: 8.3.22
WP Version: 6.8.2
TagDiv Composer looks ace but I am getting the following JavaScript errors editing a page:
https://photos.app.goo.gl/38Qemi1nJyu9qys78
Certain things work a bit but the most things are borked.
Any ideas?
that is the full stack after refresh.
Hi,
It seems there may be a misunderstanding here. Perhaps you’ve previously used a different theme that handled things a certain way, and now you’re expecting all themes to behave similarly. If that’s the case, I’m sorry to disappoint you.
As I mentioned before, when you install a demo, only the content and layout specific to that demo are included. For example, if you want to set up a shop, you’ll need to configure it manually using tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Shop (please make sure the plugin is installed, as I mentioned earlier).
Once the necessary plugin is active, you can use tagDiv Composer to build your shop pages. There are also pre-designed templates available, which you can easily import from the Cloud Library:
https://demo.tagdiv.com/select_demo/newspaper-prebuilt-websites/?demo-type=shop
To clarify again: when you add new functionality like a shop that wasn’t part of the originally installed demo, the layout for those new features won’t exist by default. You’ll need to create or import the layout manually.
Thank you!
Hi,
The single used for the template contains the dynamic elements from this guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/single-post-shortcodes/
If you want to display a widget, you can use the widget element in composer – https://i.imgur.com/njihkNj.png, just drag it in the place you want to be and choose a widget – https://i.imgur.com/yK4TU1x.png
The opt-in builder provides the option to allow free access to restricted articles, but it is not connected with the MailPoet, the list of emails needs to be downloaded in csv and imported to MailPoet https://i.imgur.com/b2puaRo.png
We’re glad you like our builder, even though it may not be the most intuitive; it’s a very powerful and complex builder.
Thank you!
Ah – got it….thx.
Let me at the same run now ask you.
(It’s maybe in the documents, I just not have found it) – how to ad shortcodes?
I am used to elementor, and there are a widget for shortcodes.
Secound: The opt-in builder – have you a solution to og consider to make it compatible with MailPoet?
Let me explain my intention.
I want offer free acces to restricted posts, but I want to force the reader to subscribe to my newsletter via MailPoet – so I want the opt-in to be email based, and the entered mails submitted to the selected list in MailPoets (I know I can use export of CVS , but its a manual task as for now.)
And a last comment:
At first eyes , I didn’t like the tagdiv composer, but I leved the template and otions, so I forced myself to start “learn” it – now I love it 🙂
Hi,
You can contact us privately via email at contact@tagdiv.com if you’d like to share your credentials. Please do not post them on the forum.
Regarding your issue:
The problem is that you’ve edited the single post template each time when you think you add the article content, as shown here: https://i.imgur.com/LeuIZit.jpeg also, the dynamic post content element was replace with a Text with Title element. This element displays static content and does not automatically show each article’s content.
To display content dynamically for each post, you need to use the Post Content element instead: https://i.imgur.com/hldTlpY.png (I set it back)
If I understand correctly, you created the articles, then opened each article individually, edited the cloud template using tagDiv Composer, and manually changed the text inside the fixed text block. That’s the root of the issue.
There are currently 24 edits on your template, and 22 of them are changes to the text inside the static Text with Title element.
This means you’ve essentially created articles with only a title, but added the content directly in the template, not in the article itself https://i.imgur.com/U6qR7mt.png
Articles should be created properly in the post editor, like this example:
https://www.pomeranian.dk/wp-admin/post.php?post=64&action=edit
frontend view: https://www.pomeranian.dk/index.php/2025/06/26/mobile-marketing-is-said-to-be-the-future-of-e-commerce/
Also, please make sure you’re using the global template from the panel: https://i.imgur.com/vHbkSTS.png use an individual template only if you want a custom layout for a specific article.
Thank you!
Hello,
When you install a demo, only the pages, the templates and elements included in that specific demo will use its layout and design. If you create new pages or add additional features, such as a shop (using WooCommerce), forum pages, or other content, these will not automatically have a template applied, as they are considered custom additions.
However, there’s no need to worry! The theme allows you to fully customize templates to achieve the layout you want. You can do this using tagDiv Composer along with Cloud Templates.
For creating and customizing shop pages specifically, you’ll need to install the tagDiv Shop plugin. You can do this by going to Newspaper > Plugins in your WordPress dashboard. Once installed, you’ll be able to create and edit shop templates using the theme builder.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
That is an ajax dropdown on a block it can be added using tagDiv Composer, select the block and in the filter tab, look for ajax dropdown https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/ https://i.imgur.com/YDUKC2m.png https://i.imgur.com/Lmr2Xxg.png
Thank you!
Hi,
I believe there’s a misunderstanding. tagDiv Composer is a page builder—you can use it to create pages and cloud templates. In your case, you can create templates for articles, but not the articles themselves. What it allows is customizing the layout and elements that your articles will use.
Once the template is ready, you’ll use the WordPress editor to actually create and write the articles. https://i.imgur.com/WA5GrgO.png https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/
Hi,
In tdc_history, all actions performed using tagDiv Composer are stored for every page and cloud template where you’ve used the Composer (https://i.imgur.com/0NbEObD.png). This allows you to use the Undo and Redo options → https://i.imgur.com/p9074lE.jpg, and also restore backups directly from the panel → https://i.imgur.com/QqX33GE.png. What you can do is to disable the Undo and Redo option – https://i.imgur.com/DPwPQHe.png and delete and reduce the number of backups in the theme panel https://i.imgur.com/JZnZpiN.png (the theme panel backups when it is disabled offers the option to delete all backups, after that can be enabled back to have a theme panel backup).
I hope this will help you!
Hi,
You can edit a page using tagDiv Composer and import that section from cloud – https://i.imgur.com/i0u6vYv.png. That effect is made using CSS on elements with CSS td-kattmar-module-bg https://i.imgur.com/ZiHvVxf.png – https://i.imgur.com/iddJuZ8.png
Thank you!
Hi
Thanks for fast responce.
I create new post from scratch.
Post – New post – selecting the “single template – week pro” adding all basic info, save it, open it i browser, then edit in Tagdiv composer – in all articles i have only used “Text with title”
I have downloaded the xml file of the posts so they seems there to be intact and ok.
Hi,
Is that plugin providing a shortcode? If so, then use that shortcode and set it using tagDiv Composer on pages and cloud template in column text, in text zone, here – https://imgur.com/DSSni9j
Thank you!
Hi,
I will try to explain as clearly as possible what can be done:
– if you are using an SEO plugin, disable the schema option in the theme – https://i.imgur.com/eGr3UQF.png
– set your code in functions.php using child theme https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
– set the code using tagDiv Composer in column text or text with title in text zone https://imgur.com/DSSni9j
I hope it helps you.
Also, I noticed that in your own functions.php, the WooCommerce breadcrumbs use microdata:
‘wrap_before’ => ‘<div class=”entry-crumbs” itemprop=”breadcrumb”>’,
This suggests that microdata such as itemprop is generally acceptable in the Newspaper theme.
So I’m wondering why manually inserted microdata (e.g. via Raw HTML or Composer blocks) is stripped — even though the theme itself uses them internally.
Hi TagDiv team,
I’m currently using the Newspaper theme with TagDiv Composer, and I’d like to implement Schema.org microdata markup (e.g. itemscope, itemtype, itemprop) for services and FAQs on some of my pages for better SEO and structured data compatibility.
To make this work, I’ve extended the allowed HTML attributes using wp_kses_allowed_html inside functions.php as follows:
function allow_microdata_attributes($allowedtags) {
$microdata = [
'itemscope' => true,
'itemtype' => true,
'itemprop' => true,
'itemid' => true,
'itemref' => true
];
foreach ($allowedtags as $tag => &$attributes) {
if (is_array($attributes)) {
$attributes = array_merge($attributes, $microdata);
}
}
return $allowedtags;
}
add_filter('wp_kses_allowed_html', 'allow_microdata_attributes', 10, 2);
However, even after doing this:
the microdata attributes disappear both from the editor view and the rendered frontend HTML;
I’ve confirmed that the functions.php is correctly loaded and applied;
I also verified that the attributes are stripped even when I use the Raw HTML module.
So my question is:
➡️ Is there an internal TagDiv Composer or Newspaper filter that sanitizes or strips these attributes even after kses has been adjusted?
And if so, is there a recommended way to allow inline Schema microdata in Text/Raw HTML blocks?
I’d love to keep this inline for SEO reasons, but if it’s not possible, I can switch to JSON-LD with RankMathSEO plugin.
Thank you in advance for your time and support!
Best regards,
Zoltan
Hi,
Please do a test, create a new page, and try to add some text in it with tagDiv Composer, save it, and see if this remains empty. If so, then please do a test using only tagDiv plugins.
Let me know the results!
Hi Don,
Did you have auto-updates enabled for your plugins or theme? That could be one of the possible causes of the issue.
In this case, I recommend checking whether the theme plugins you were previously using are still installed and activated. If they are missing, you can reinstall them by going to Newspaper > Plugins in your dashboard.
Also, if the widget appears when you view the template using tagDiv Composer on a single post, it likely means the widget is still set under Appearance > Widgets. Please check there to confirm whether it’s assigned to the sidebar or has been moved to the “Inactive Widgets” section.
Thank you!
All of my posts now have a “blog” look to them with a white background and no widgets, when they used to have widgets and a black background. I have not edited anything in days and now all of sudden while going through my site, the posts look very different. I’m thinking this is just a template change, but I’m not sure why it happened in the first place or exactly what to change to go back.
When I used to change the content in a widget on a post, I would go to “Cloud templates>Single templates> Revenant Single Template> Edit with TD Composer”. When I go there now, it still shows the proper widgets with the black background.
Can you help with:
– I’m not sure what to do next as I’m now nervous about messing the whole thing up.
– Is there any way to find out how this happened and maybe just go back to an old setting? Kind of like restoring a backup.
Thanks,
Don
Environment
Newspaper 12.7.1 (fix claimed in 12.6.9)
WP 6.4.2, PHP 8.x
Permalinks: “/%category%/”
All caching/minification plugins disabled; server cache purged
Issue
On two independent sites, Posts Loop 2 still renders only a handful of posts on the front end—even though the Composer preview shows the full list.
Workaround
Switching to the Flex Loop Builder block surfaces all posts correctly.
Expected
Posts Loop 2 on category templates should output all posts exactly as shown in the preview.

Thanks for looking into restoring full loop support!
Yes, this is the module i’m referring to. I edited using tagdiv composer, but nothing changed. Please check the website vimag.gr. You can see it now.
Thank you
Hi,
I think that you are referring to this block for demo – https://i.imgur.com/GBI3Rbj.png if so, this is the design made for the respective module you can edit it using tagDiv Composer – https://i.imgur.com/WvGBskt.png and create the module as you like.
Thank you!
Hi Damir, unfortunately, access to Google Drive is restricted, and I can not see the images.
Now in case that our element for Newsletter is not working as you expected, what you can do is to embed the code from your Mailchimp with tagDiv Composer in column text or text with title, set the embed code in text zone, here – https://imgur.com/DSSni9j and this should be display and work exactly as it the provided cod intended to be.
Another alternative will be to use a dedicated newsletter plugin.
Thank you!
Hi Badri,
For the logo part, you should use tagDiv Composer, select the row that is holding the row and stretch it https://imgur.com/hpDp0E3
For the title to align it to left with the featured image, you should check the settings of the flex block 1, you have set a padding 25px 0 0 64px for meta info https://i.imgur.com/tc2GhbY.png
Thank you!
Hi,
What can be done is to use a single post template and then utilize the tagDiv Composer to remove the featured image element. This way, you won’t need to make any adjustments to your articles. The featured image will still be displayed in modules, but it will be removed from the article itself, where the image set within the article will be used instead.
– https://i.imgur.com/Z2dbBV6.png – use right click on element – https://i.imgur.com/bAyFnCz.png
I hope this helps!
