Hi,

You could use Image Box widget instead of wp widget – https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/image-box/
Or you can use custom css to decrease the margin – https://www.screencast.com/t/heyl4oetcL

.td-ss-main-sidebar .widget_media_image {
margin-bottom: 10px;
}

Thanks!

Hi,

So you want to chnage the heading font for a single post, not all? The general option will not work for that, it will change all of them.
Maybe use inline CSShttps://www.screencast.com/t/QOkzeEDd3md6
Or add a class to them corresponding to CSShttps://www.screencast.com/t/YCStg9Q9
https://www.screencast.com/t/uaIZqZJinOA
There could be other solutions as well.

Hi,

Without the header ad header style 1 will look like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/wRSb9GTtP
With the margins removed from the logo the total height will reduce
https://www.screencast.com/t/ureorrAk
So maybe this is what you wanted, the code can be entered in Theme panel->Custom CSS

.td-header-style-1 .td-header-sp-logo {
margin: 0;
}

Thanks

Hi,

@Seashore
The header styles are predefined, they look like this
https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/
Can’t have a template for every example out there. Simple modifications can be possible with CSS.
Provide a link to your website and I will take a look and try to center the menu if that is what you want.

Thanks

Hi,

What header style are you using? With CSS that could be possible. An alternative would be header file modifications.
The ad space in the header is reserved, not displaying an ad will not re-arrange all the other header elements.

The ads will display differently depending on style used
https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/

Please mention the header style or provide a link to your website and details about how you want it to look.

Thanks

Hi,

The font settings are in the theme panel, not in the post edit screen.
https://forum.tagdiv.com/font-customization/

And they should change, the theme panel font settings are general. For example this setting will affect all the paragraphs in the post content
https://www.screencast.com/t/GFOfOaNlxkB
There are settings for headings, list, quotes.

Post titles are per template used (with a general font setting if needed)
https://www.screencast.com/t/mSGh1Cdam8w

Inspecting one of your posts, I see the default Open sans font is used for post paragraphs. It should change once you use the setting I mentioned.
The size of the font may not work, seems the text is also wrapped in a span after the initial paragraph, for some reason
https://www.screencast.com/t/80YOZJQMJ
In this case, since it seems most posts are the same way, you could use some CSS
https://www.screencast.com/t/sAkd4PeQ

.td-post-content p span {
font-size: 25px!important;
}

This can be entered in Theme panel->Custom CSS code section.

Please let me know if you need help or have more questions.

Thanks

Hi,

The header styles mentioned above don’t have any limits for the image used
https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/
Any size can be used. The website you mention uses a video on a loop in the header
https://www.screencast.com/t/WOBzseXK
That will work in the theme ad spots, not as a logo.

The height will depend on the image you use as logo, it will adapt to it. The header could be modified with some CSS if required.

That is possible. There are even tools to choose the colors
https://www.w3schools.com/colors/colors_picker.asp
Maybe choose a color similar to the block headers for example
https://www.screencast.com/t/YJ78QpVD

You could also experiment with shadows, there are plenty of generators available
https://html-css-js.com/css/generator/box-shadow/

Hi,

You could use some CSS to break the words
Before – https://www.screencast.com/t/ktnKkwAxys5G
After – https://www.screencast.com/t/eG2zPKjtj06

.td-pb-span4 .td_block_7 .entry-title a {
word-break: break-all;
}

This code will apply to all blocks 7 set in one column, it can be made more precise if needed.

Hi,

I added this code in the custom css area to add the logo in the top bar, but nothing happens. I’d like to get this header result, like you see on this newspaper website: https://nrc.nl.
Any other solution for this?

Regards,
Martin.

Theme settings have the correct colors applied. This is definitely an issue of the Lifestyle theme demo in Newspaper overriding the elements I described above. How do I force the demo stylesheet to conform to global theme colors? Do I have to go in one-by-one in CSS and try to force the colors? TagDiv needs to address this issue in the Lifestyle theme demo.

Hi,

I don’t want to use a banner add on my navbar and just want my logo and menu items on the same navbar, when I disable the banner add however, there is a blank white space above the navbar where the banner was meant to be. Is there anyway I can remove this without a need for CSS to override it so that the space does not appear at all before it’s overwritten?

When it comes to CSS, I’m very tentative. I copied the code exactly as written, and it does a great job of putting the padding exactly the way I wanted. If I want to change the border from solid black to a hex color, however, I’m a little more cautious. How would I do that? If I can get that locked, I’m about 90% there! Thanks for your great support, by the way!

Hi Simon.
Sorry to replying so late.
Finally I’ve solved it using CSS cause your first suggestion doesn’t work well for me.

Thanks!

Hi,

The theme accent color can be set in the theme panel
https://www.screencast.com/t/LrNgQWUa
The color set there will be used in multiple places, including the header underlines you mention, various hovers etc.

In the case of links, if you set a color for them as you create them
https://www.screencast.com/t/ZZpyimkpOVsH
Then that will be used instead of the accent color. If you want to change them all at once, in the post content for example, without modifying the accent color, you could use some CSS
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-change-link-color/

Some demos can override theme panel colors, by setting them in the demo stylesheet. if you have any problems with a color somewhere, provide a link to that page and details.

Thanks

Hi,

That space above the slider is the top padding of the page, it will always be there regardless of the content of the page. If you want to remove it enter this code in the theme panel custom CSS section

.home .td-main-page-wrap {
padding-top: 0;
}

Regarding the slider, you can make it full width in the slider settings
https://www.screencast.com/t/S8XXJd5A

Hi,

Try to use the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS area.

The code is ->

.td_module_wrap:hover .entry-title a{
color:#40a2c2;
}

Thanks for the message!

If taking out the css code really does not work. I’ll leave it for now. But this is something to correct in future updates.

I forget to say one important thing that you should add on your to do list.
This topic is related to H1 tag for Homepage. For example: mysite.com, mysite.com/page/2/ bla bla bla…
In wordpress general settings, there is a site title and tagline.
I found heading tags on my page shows only site title: <H1> site title </H1>
But i want to show heading tags on my page site title and tagline both: <H1> site title | tagline </H1>
For example: <H1>This is my main seo title | mysite.com</H1>
On above example first one is Tagline and second one is Site Title. (This is perfect for SEO)
How can i do this? Please help me if you have any idea via CSS or Functions.php
Thank you.

How would I use custom css to add a .5px border and shadow around the post title and text?

This (found on the web) adds a border around the post content but not the title and author name:

.td-post-content {
padding:2% 3%;
border:1px solid #ddd;
}

I was playing around with resizing the main container from 980 to 1200, in css, however, after deleting the css, the full width of certain templates is broken… f.e. the post template 7, which should have 100% width featured image is now stuck at 980px…
How can I reset this without doing a complete reset in the theme panel…

Thnx
